We had an incident where our bulldog had some legs problems, couldn't get to our regular vet, bet it was a Sunday. HEY EVERYONE DOGS GETS SICK IN SUNDAYS! But as I digress, this will be our new place. From the first phone call to exit and now at home there checking in on us. This I absolutely love. That's caring guys and I appreciate it. Blessings to the staff.

I adopted a German Shepherd from California Animal Rescue. I picked her up from her "fosters" house off 162nd Street East. The house was a dumpster fire. I did worry about the health of the puppy but I figured because it was from a rescue, she would be in good health. The "foster" also has her brother. She told me that if there were any health issues within the next 10 days to let her know, not the rescue and she'd take care of the bill. On day 7 my poor puppy began to have horrible diarrhea with blood in it. She also threw up twice. I reached out to the lady and she said her brother was having similar symptoms. She couldn't get us in to her regular vet but could get us into North Valley. I'd never been but I didn't care. I just wanted my puppy to be okay. I have bonded with her so quickly and the idea of losing her to Parvo was breaking my heart. So we drove to the front and I called. The "foster" was a few cars down from me and the brother was tested first. A young gentleman came to my car, got my information and swabbed my puppy. While I waited, I received a text saying the brother tested positive for Parvo. So I knew my baby girl was going to test positive as well. The "foster" came over to my car and showed me the print out of the invoice North Valley gave her for care. A low and high estimate. It was pricey. She had previously told me that she couldn't afford parvo, so if that's what it was, she would give me my money I paid for adopting her and they would just put her down. Uhmmm, excuse me?! I told her there was no way she would be put down. Vanessa, a tech, came out and took my information to create my own account because the lady declined care for the brother. Then she came and took Saylor (my puppy) and began to set everything up. She told me she'd go set up a room for me and let me know when they're ready. I waited about 30 mins and was able to go back. They made sure I followed the proper precautions and set me in the room. I saw a friendly face that I recognized from a past job and it was Kirsten, and she just happened to work there. She eased my mind and complimented the vet there (I can't remember his name at this moment). He entered the room seconds after she left. He talked me through everything, listened to my concerns and answered my questions. He was so calm and patient. Never once rushed me. After I left her there, I was an absolute mess. The worst thoughts were running through my mind. Later the vet called me and gave me good news. Her bloodwork was good, she was eating like a champ, had no more episodes of diarrhea and was very alert. Again, he actually had a conversation with me and never once rushed me off the phone. Next morning I received a call from Kirsten. She told me again how well she was doing, specifically mentioned that the vet told her to make sure to call me because he knew how much I'd love to hear how well she was doing. They did more bloodwork and everything was good. Because of how well she was doing, she was able to go home. She is doing amazing! And I didn't have to pay near the low estimate and I believe it's because we took action immediately. This clinic was absolutely amazing! Every single person I came into contact with was kind, understanding and knowledgeable. Vanessa even brought Saylor in to me before I left her to get treatment. It was so kind of her and made my heart happy because all I wanted to do was just love her before leaving her. The bad reviews are people who expect treatment for free. I already have a vet I go to who is convenient and they are wonderful as well. But North Valley will be my second option because they've earned my trust. Side note, I tried reaching out to the rescue because I felt the "foster" was a little shady and I wanted to make sure the brother was going to get treatment. Instead of having a conversation with me, I received a text claiming that it was a false positive and the brother was fine. They're claiming that becau

Took my dog that was running a fever to this vet for a blood panel to see if she had some kind of infection. Dr. chang immediately started telling me my dog had neurological issues and needed more test and a possible spinal tap to check for disease costing hundreds of dollars? What a crock of s**** i suggested he do the blood work first to see what we find and sure enough my pup had a simple infection so I asked for a broadband antibiotic and 5 days later she's back to normal. Run from this vampire veterinary center, they only want your money and don't give s*** about you or your pet, its all a front. 5 days later my pup was doing good but she is still running a fever and getting worse so we drove her to our vet in woodland Hills where we were told to discontinue the old medication and gave us a new medication which had her fever gone in 2 days. The long winded response from this vet must be a joke at best. Not in it for the money? Get out of here Lmao

I started bringing my 4 pets here a few months ago. I've had only AMAZING experiences with all staff and with the Dr's. This Industry is one of the toughest to be in and is often times not so kind. Pet ownership is a PRIVILEGE. We as pet owners must do better, get pet insurance, care credit, scratch pay, keep a savings for unexpected costs, etc. It is not these veterinarians faults that us as pet owners cannot pay for care. We have insurance on ourselves, imagine paying out of pocket for our medical care? There are far more pets on this planet then there are Vets, there will be wait times. Plan for that. Be kinder. Snow, Mikey, Bonnie, and Phoebe send their love and appreciate all the care they have been given! Thank you so much NV Vet Center for all your hard work.

Complete and utter negligence during pet boarding and wish Yelp had a 0 star option to be congruent with the following review. They claim, "North Valley Veterinary Center is proud to offer top-notch kenneling services to our clients." They DO NOT. For the past 7 years, we have used a number of boarding services ranging from Wag Hotel to different vets and pet sitting services and our pets have never been injured or returned to us injured, distressed or scared. Not this time! We made a terrible mistake leaving our pet at North Valley Veterinary Center here in Lancaster. Not only was our pet injured but he was scared and stressed. Our pet sustained a toe-nail injury, his muzzle was red, and his head was wet (why? they wouldn't explain). On top of that, they wanted to treat the toe-nail injury he sustained during their "top-notch" care and charge us for it! That is preposterous and an insult to injury! Apparently, their boarding services are not "24-hour services" even though their waiver claims "dogs will be supervised at all times." We understand if a pet is injured by another animal had we approved group play but we did not. To me, it appears our pet was injured during a toe-nail trim and other handling and they wanted us to pay for their negligence. Our pet is very easy to handle, friendly, and submissive. Again, we have used a variety of different kennel/boarding services including Wag Hotels and other local pet daycare providers and this has never happened before. I highly recommend you stay away from this place. Do not sign their waiver unless you want to risk your pet buddy getting injured, mentally abused and on top of that, getting billed hundreds of dollars for their negligence. 0/5 stars

:) !!!!!NEED A VET!!!!! :) Look no FURTHER - because the doctors here at North Valley Veterinary Center!! Whether it is from a routine check or ER visit! They are open on WEEKENDS and ready to help! These humans are honestly AMAZING! From the first encounter with receptionist over the phone to the treatment coordinator in person, they are so kind and down to earth!!! We have been to this vet twice both for an emergency visit and we will drive from Pasadena to Palmdale just to see them because their QUALITY of CARE is UNMATCHED!!! Each visit has been scary because we have a rescue 9 year old apple head chihuahua who has heart problems and has had previous vets who have given him anxiety! After many tears and worries, words cannot express our GRATITUDE we feel toward to Dr.Chang, Dr. Wright, Kerstin, and all the other ANIMAL loving people that work at this facility who always make our dog Max the most comfortable in a difficult situation! Financially we all know that Veterinary care is not CHEAP - but Kerstin(at front desk) is so helpful with alternate financing that will help you afford these unexpected situations. As a healthcare professional, I can understand first hand what it means to deliver quality of care and genuinely treat patients like family... And to be a recipient of the same quality of care such as the one we receive here goes beyond expectations!!! Honestly, if you need a vet this is the place GO! XoXo:)

***I wrote a review nine years ago and I can't seem to delete my previous review so this is an updated review.*** **BEWARE!!** They play on your emotions while asking for a credit card. My 14 year old fur baby wasn't eating, had diarrhea, labored breathing, throwing up and was very lethargic. I took her to the Urgent Care. Waited an hour in my car for them to come out. Covid is over but they still make you wait in your car! They wanted to do hundreds of dollars in tests. She's almost 15 I've been there before knowing the end was near but I went ahead and had tests run on her anyways. The receptionist was rude and had zero compassion! She ONLY cared if I had my credit card. They gave me some antibiotics and after paying the over priced bill I was sent home with my very sick fur baby. The next day my fur baby's breathing got MORE labored and she couldn't walk or get up. I could see her getting worse! So I called them again! They again told me they needed my credit card then took my fur baby as she was in critical condition. They charged my credit card immediately before anything was done and never explained what I was being charged for! Turns out my fur baby was dying (like I suspected) and unfortunately I had with a heavy heart put her down but again all they cared about was paying for the procedure and charging my credit card! I have been taking my fur babies there for over 20 years and they have really gone downhill! They used to care about your fur babies but not anymore. They care more about playing on your emotions and getting your money. So sad I had to experience the WORST day of my life with this greedy heartless place after years of being a loyal customer to them! I was just another number to them instead of a loyal customer that they should appreciate! Needless to say I will NEVER go back to them again!! I DO NOT recommend you taking your fur babies here. You want compassion and a loving place to take your fur babies find another veterinarian.
