In December I seen Dr. Hittalmani and I told them I was having trouble breathing and I thought I had pneumonia, he said "no your fine here's an inhaler it's just the flu." They did not bother to get an x-ray or draw blood or anything, and when they ran a covid and flu test they both came back negative so how could I have the flu, I ended up septic from pneumonia and had to spend a night in the hospital.

I didn't come here for the last 3-4 yrs because the bad and slow service. Unfortunately I have to come back because we don't have an urgent care at Edwards AFB and the service still poor and bad. At the check in desk they don't say hello how may I help you or anything. They just asked you, what are you here for? Very rude and poor service. So sad for nice facility. I have been here since 11am. Its 3:00pm and I'm still here waiting to just ge an XR of my hand Horrible service..

URGENT CARE SERVICES TO VETERANS -1. Make sure you call to confirm your eligibility with the VA first; let them know you are going to High Desert Medical Group for Urgent Care Services.2. When you arrive to High Desert Medical Group - let the front desk/check in staff know you have called the VA and it is their (High Desert Medical Group) responsibility to call the VA to get an authorization for services. Get the first and last name of the person helping you.In * 2018 * my step-father followed step-1.High Desert didn't do step-2; THEY DID NOT OBTAIN THE AUTHORIZATION and their claim was denied; and sent him to HP SEARS Collections. The bill was $213.80 in 2018 - it's now nearly $300.Today, the VA attempted calling High Desert claims department twice and both times let the transferred call go to voicemail. I called back and reached voicemail again.I called the main phone number asking to file a complaint; I asked to speaking the person that handled the contract - I wanted to discuss that maybe they obtain a provider in-service since patients are held financially responsible for front desk processes that are not being followed. If the provider's office fails to obtain an authorization - then the provider should write-off the denied claim; it's not the patients fault.Excuses High Desert has used:- High Desert was not contracted with the VA - then why did the VA send my step-father there?- There is no auth on file - High Desert didn't follow their protocol to get the auth.- Your step-dad gave us the wrong insurance - he only had the VA, there was no other insurance to give High Desert.- Oh we mailed the claim to the wrong address - why is it the patients responsibility that the provider mailed the claim to the wrong address?High Desert Medical Group - YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES - TREATING A 72 YEAR VIET NAM VETERAN THIS WAY.DO THE RIGHT THING - CORRECT YOUR ERROR - CONTACT HP SEARS AND WRITE-OFF THE COLLECTION.

Place is garbage. Love my doctor nut everything else is severely lacking especially customer service or empathy. Have had lies told about my wife to member services from back staff about something our doctor never said.

I was a past employee here , they do not take their jobs seriously, Dr. Arroyos nurses as well as the Dr, has gossiped about their patients multiple times , the hospital itself is disgusting , roaches and insects crawl around often, some nurses never clean their patient's rooms after ekgs etc, i was bullied by my co workers often, and when I reported it nothing was done. Please find a healthcare group that cares for you!!!

My mother was very sick, very very sick after a month she wasn’t getting better. Another relative took her here and it was like night and day compared to AV. They actually took time, took blood for tests. Etc to find out why she was so sick. Even called her at home to check in on her. UC here is awesome and they genuinely care. Dr. Garrett is rare and amazing because of him my mom now is getting proper treatment.

I keep getting calls from this provider to schedule appointments despite my requesting that they not have any further contact with me I never established a relationship with them , and after reading the reviews I will never use them. My insurance carrier assigned them as my primary care. I suspect I’m getting contacted because it is open enrollment for Medicare and they are looking to perhaps increase their revenue. I will be changing providers at the first opportunity.

The urgent care moves fairly fast. Never waited that long. The doctors are very nice and so are the front desk staff..

I just called they, told me I can go to Quest then I told them I did and Quest Diagnostics said they aren't contracted with High desert so when you call High desert THEY LIE to you. They call many times and never leave a message. One time I answered, and they told me Blue shield denied me but later I found out they lied it was High Desert. Now I'm on the hunt to find a medical group that contracts with Quest. Please tell me so I can change. I found Anthem blue cross dual snip and get $1400 a year cash no co pay along with Quest.

They repeatedly deny help to me. Must jump through hoops, just to be denied again. They say file an appeal. But i first have to find "letter" that Their Own Doctor submitted.Where is that letter ? I never saw it.They do not care if you are in pain. They just don't care.I'll buy the bullets if I can borrow a gun. Let's end all this idiotic runaround and just stop breathing

This is a great urgent care. I have been here several times w my partner. I went in today (Saturday), but they don’t help people w no insurance. The staff was kind and gave me a list of places to go to that take folks w no insurance or cash only place. They have wheelchairs very easy and accessible. The security is nice and they offer masks when you enter which is a big plus. There was no wait time. I went up to the clerk and she spoke w me right away. There were only two clients waiting in the waiting room. I recommend this clinic if you have insurance. I went to the high desert medical and they were closed on Saturday. It says no emergency medical care. I’m headed to antelope valley hospital instead.

I’m here for a “yearly wellness exam.” Not my doc’s office which is Heritage Healthcare. My health insurance requires this. My insurance is an HMO, which took me a period of initial confusion with referrals. These peeps are on time for appts.I had been to urgent care at HDMG back in March 2020. Dx was flu type B. But I waited 3 hours (the waiting room empty)? Once they got my nasal sample and took it to lab, same building, it was minutes before I was in the curb with a few scripts. They were in a rush to launch me out as it was preCOVID.HDMG isn’t the best but definitely better than most once the connection between primary care provider and patient is established.
