My family member had personal account here, needless to say, we no longer do business here. I rarely ever give one star review, but sometimes...it's a necessity. Anyway, while I didn't have account there, I had to do business there, like power of attorney stuff. So, I had the notarized POA paperwork for finance, and all I needed was to have that on their record, so I can access the account legally. This is where my sour experience comes in.... bare with me. I showed up at this branch with the notarized POA for finance paperwork. It's still within the business hour, but I was told that the person who handle accounts had left for the day. Ok, so I came back another day. Took about 10-15 minutes to even start the conversation because evidently, no one at this location knew how to handle POA paperwork, so they had to call the HQ to ask questions. Then I was told from this lady that the bank cannot accept this paper, because the bank policy says it needs 2 witness signatures. I explained that my lawyer said in state of CA, it's EITHER have 2 witness signatures OR have it notarized to be considered legal. Technically, what I had was perfectly legal, however, the bank policy stated otherwise. THEN I was told, "Either you go get 2 witness signatures or you can use our form and have that notarized"....If you read that line and have question mark on your face, then you're with me. I said to this person, "You do realize that sounds ridiculously stupid right? You're asking for seemingly less legit paperwork on my end or have the bank form notarized, but not recognizing THIS paperwork as legal paperwork?". Surprisingly, she agreed, but she's just doing what the paperwork on her end told to do. So now this is my third try, got the stupid signatures lined up, went to this branch again. To have them copy the paperwork, put few signatures from me on their paper, and for them to input the information, it took over an hour. You read it right, AN HOUR. Why? Because no one knew how to fill this paperwork without calling the HQ in between. I get it, the lady was trying to do it right, but you would think places like a bank would know how to handle POA paperwork. Evidently, this place doesn't. I have nothing against the lady, just the stupid policy that had me going back and forth, which I felt was totally unnecessary. Like...overall, the people who work there are nice and everything, but the more I visited, the more I felt like no one knew what they were doing, which for a bank is scary. Anyway, after I settled other things and had enough of the BS, I took the money out and moved it to a bank that took my original paperwork without a single problem and took care of me and my relative in a manner of 15 minutes. :)
