Had such a great experience! Brought my cat in for her first vet appointment and had the best tech, Wendy, she was so helpful and very sweet! My cat was seen by Dr.Ibrahim who did an amazing job with her vaccines!

Dr. Collins is hands down thee best when it comes to my dog Kali! She’s been going to Lakewood Vetco since she was 7 weeks and is not 7 years old and has always been fearful and somewhat of anxiety. She recently has only taken a liking to Dr. Collins after all this time which has shocked and surprised everyone. He’s absolutely amazing and truly cares for our pets and that brings me great joy and comfort for Kali and I.

Wendy was the most amazing tech we’ve ever had for our Roxy. She was so sweet, patient, and understanding. She made our very anxious girl have a decent experience and spared the trauma. I will come here every year from here on out and will pray to have Wendy and Dr. Venturoso take care of us. Best experience ever!

Great customer service is hard to find these days, but the team at Vetco went above and beyond! Orin was super friendly, helping to calm my nerves while Dr. Tran took excellent care of my dog, the vet tec was also great at explaining the medication dosage. My dog made a quick turn around by the afternoon and was feeling back to her normal self. I am so relieved. I highly recommend this clinic for their compassionate and professional service!

Took my senior cat Lily in on the weekend and was helped by Orin and Dr. Collins. Both were above and beyond my expectations.
I've had some traumatizing experiences in the past with vets so searching for a new vet was anxiety-inducing in itself. But I can't say enough great things about most of my experience at this location and most notably my most recent visit with Orin and Dr Collins.
Lily has a plethora of health problems, and a previous vet seemed put out by my distress when she broke some bad news to me but Dr. Collins was empathetic, reassuring, gentle, and gracious. He quelled my fears, put Lily on a manageable plan, and had me leaving feeling positive about Lily's outlook.
Orin was a superstar in his own right. Orin was knowledgeable, patient, and went beyond my expectations to teach me techniques for at-home care. Truly a positive experience with these two.

I truly didn't have high expectations, and considered this vet something like a VCA chain. I took my puppy in due to an exam needed and an issue with her dewclaw. Her vet has been in LA since I got her but it's too much of a drive I've done for small things she's needed, so this place was a great distance from me and I kept getting emails to try them from Petco so we gave them a chance. Making an appointment was super easy, all done online. We may have gotten super lucky, because the vet technician and the vet himself were awesome like 5 stars just for their service alone; I've seen some bad reviews and personally I don't like this Petco location at all. The self serve treats are covered in spiderwebs and half the staff has an issue 24/7, to name a few issues. This led me to not expect much from this hospital attached to them. Experiencing the care that our sweet vet technician and Dr. Collins provided, was refreshing and so rare in todays society. They made my girl feel so comfortable, and myself as well. I was so nervous as to what she needed upon discovering the injury to her dewclaw, as well as what the bill would look like. Due to privacy concerns and not wanting to possibly get anyone in trouble, all I can say is that they went above and beyond to help us. They showed us grace and I can't thank them enough for doing everything possible to help me with this visit. My girl left the vet completely unphased with a smile on her face and some antibiotics. I do want to and NEED to comment on the way Dr. Collins assessed everything I brought up. I went to another vet previous to this one and she completely disregarded my concern, which Dr. Collins emphasized and confirmed WAS/IS a real issue and prescribed a solution to! The other vet made me feel I was overreacting and Dr. Collins provided some relief by explaining what was happening to my dog and what was needed. This is a doctor I felt so comfortable leaving in control of my dogs health. I greatly appreciate this and look forward to bringing her back to see him again. If you need to see a vet and are concerned about care and cost, try giving Vetco a chance. A small, local, hospital that really cares about your pet and has professionals ready to help.

We took in two 4-month old kittens - their first visit to a vet. They were frightened and a handful at times, but Dr Tran and Gisell were great with them (Orin helped out too). We got a clear explanation of vaccines, services. , etc, with no upsell or pressure. Now that the kittens have their shots and deworming, we’ll be bringing them back to be neutered in a few weeks. Service and care was excellent!
