Love this post office. They are always so helpful and friendly. They know their stuff, no matter what I throw at them they have THE answer.

My email is lost, it's been a long time and they still haven't solved my problem or gotten involved in it. I don't know what to do, someone has to take responsibility.

I am really shocked at how the post office is run. For the last two days I have put mail out to be picked up by our mail carrier. Every day mail is delivered but never picked up. When trying to contact the post office for help and solve my problem I could not reach a live person…only recordings that would hang up on me or make me wait for an hour plus to talk with a live person. I may not even get to a live person as I am still on hold as we speak. Going automated systems is not the way to go and talking with a human being is preferred. Please correct this process as it is inefficient and frustrating for your customers. If I could have but a minus zero vs one star I would have!!

They say they close at 2pm on Saturdays, however I was just there to drop off a pre-labeled package, and the doors were locked. This is not the first time this has happened. 3 other people tried also and said the same thing. Saturdays are critical for those who work 9-5’s, so maybe stay open when you say you’re going to be open.

Self service is the way to go! If you need to wait in the line the worker are very friendly?

Avoid this location. The single worst post office I've ever been to. The parking lot is tough, and the staff are unhelpful. Recommend the Artesia location.. or really anywhere else.

What the hell. There is barely one person working here. The last 3 times the line was out the door. Disgraceful state this post office is in. Either they hire and people quit or they don't hire and overwork their employees. Sad and I wish I had another post office closer?

Yesterday, 23Mar2023, I needed to overnight a letter to Austin, TX. I went to the FedEx office on Lakewood Blvd. Fedex wanted $59 for a 1 oz letter. I was shocked at the price. Also, they weren't able to look up my account; they said it no longer existed. I also checked UPS - they wanted $61 for next day and $96 for early morning (8AM) - that's right ninety six dollars!!! I think they've lost their fricken minds. I ended up going to the USPS (post office). They were friendly; almost no waiting. I used Priority Mail Express (1-day). I just checked and my letter was received in Austin by approximately 1100 local time. The charge was $28.75. Hooray for the US post office! Only issue with USPS is that 800 call center/voice prompt system and online system has issues - difficult access and issues with voice prompt system. But overall a very good experience.

Hanna or henna. (Has glasses) is amazing! She’s a bullet. Fast but so effective at her job. She was super friendly during traffic hour and was so fast. Helped me out with a positive attitude. Never met a more friendly postal worker. Thank you!

If you have to still deal with going to the US Post office and are anywhere near this location I highly recommend stopping by. Always clean and lots o post boxes if you need one. And they also have a large item drop box for packages They had two drive up drops that are still unfortunately closed since Cove 19 but they stay open late and have an outside drop that offers first pickups for the morning. A plus is it's located about two buildings down from the Lake Wood Sheriffs Department so you can fill a little safer with lat night drop off.

1/10/23 Another long overdue review! Been coming to this Lakewood USPS for many, many years & they've been fairly good overall. There are plenty other USPS in the nearby cities but this by far has been consistent in 'delivering' the goods. In the past I've mailed very important documents & received them in kind, have gotten excellent results. As far as waiting in line for various transactions, it all depends on each patron, but the postal workers are pretty good at providing the most efficient service possible, friendly too.Perhaps I always expect that there will be a wait so then I don't get too antsy when there's about 10 or more customers in line. There are a total of 3 self serve kiosks that can be used for stamps & quick transactions. Plenty of parking spaces at the front & the side, and the rear. I've been to the Bellflower & Artesia USPS and I prefer this one for it's consistent service & reliability.
