I'm a new member here and I really enjoy the facility and the vibe. A much smaller gym and community than I was used to at LA Fitness where you're really just a drop in the bucket. Im usually working out with my personal trainer (Victor) and other people are doing their personal routines. Trainers work around each other efficiently. Everyone in the gym is either busting their a** working out or laughing, which is the way it should be.

I've been a member of the Sweatshop gym for about 3 years and I love it! I'm a big fan of the bootcamps and love that they offer a variety of bootcamp class times - 7 different bootcamps per day! They even have 5:30am and 6:00am bootcamp classes, which work great for working moms such as myself. The workouts can easily be modified to meet your fitness needs/goals. The trainers are very dedicated and knowledgeable and treat you like family. If you're looking for a good sweat and amazing trainers, try Sweatshop.

I have been training at this gym since March of this year. I came specifically to train for Spartan races. Brad connected me with Laura as she also does various types of course events. My training has been specific but full of variety. In 6 months I have lost almost 20#. Gained a couple of #s of muscle mass and lost over 9% body fat. I'm achieving my fitness goals. I've seen them work with many different types of people. They will target your experience to meet your needs. Plus, you will be supporting a local business. It's a win all around.

I'm new to the whole weight loss deal. I'm super overweight. I came in last week in a moment where I felt like I needed to take action before I can no longer have that choice. I walked in and was welcomed by the friendly trainer Laura. She went over everything and helped me see a path that I wasn't ever hopeful of achieving on my own. Here I am a week later, having lost 4 pounds. Her nutrition tips and guidelines are definitely a huge help. Everyone here is super friendly. it's like a big family I was just welcomed into. Big folks like me should seek this place out.

I started with the Healthy Neighbors program two months and a half after I delivered my baby. I was only available 3 days a week and this program fit my schedule. I stuck to the schedule didn't miss a workout and followed Laura's nutrition advice. I have l lost 15 pounds in almost 3 months. I feel better than before I was pregnant. Laura is a great coach and every member and trainer is very welcoming.

Love this gym!!! Have been working out here for years and it's a comfortable environment that still really pushes my physical endurance. I strictly take the kickboxing class right now and it's the best exercise I've done! No matter who's teaching the class, it's always a push! Friendly staff and reasonable pricing!

I've been around the gym industry for 14 years! I've had some pretty good experiences along the way but being here at The Sweat Shop Gym Lakewood has been by far one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had. Working here with a team that acts like true family is such a reward in itself. Working with members and clients who are motivated and treat you the same way like family just makes it so much more fun to be here. I'm so glad I found this place. If you're looking for a gym to work out at and get results this is the place for you!

I have always despised working out and the gym was a place I did not like. I had not exercised a muscle in my body since high school (9 years ago!) Eeek, I know. But, I reached a point when I knew I had to make some lifestyle changes. I sent in a desperate message for help and Laura got back to me with reassurance and an invitation to come in. Don't compare this gym to the big ones, Sweat Shop is completely different. It's your small, neighborhood gym with some of the nicest trainers around. Laura, Justin, Sid, and Brad are all amazing and encouraging and they make me feel right at home. I've now been training with Laura for about 4 months. I see progress with my workouts, my eating habits, and I've become much more comfortable with the gym. Laura has helped me incorporate working out and going to gym as part of my routine. I'm learning to enjoy it and thanks to Laura, my attitude towards the gym has become much more positive. This gym offers personal training, bootcamp classes (group workouts), nutrition groups and more. It's not an open gym, so you're always working with a trainer. This gym welcomes all levels. I've never felt intimidated or uncomfortable... the trainers and members are all super nice. If you want to start making some lifestyle changes or just want a different gym vibe, check this place out. It's a small gym but it packs a big punch and I'm so glad to be a member.

I hold quite a few gym memberships and I have been to many(most because my insurance pays for the gyms) I will have to say that this gym is a place where those who are often intimidated by heavy machinery and large heavy weights can shed those fears along with a few dozen pounds! This gym is set up in an industrial center flanking the airport nearby. The gym is intimate, but adequate. They offer and assortment of group classes and also personal training. They will offer a free "In Body" survey of your body to see where you are. From there they will work with you on your body weight and fitness goals to get you where you want to be.

First and foremost I would like to acknowledge Bradlee for being the most HUMBLEST person I ever met. Being the owner and trainer of Sweat Shop, he has the spirit of love, joy, peace, tolerance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and gentleness. This is not your typical gym where people walk around looking all fit and acting cocky and arrogant. ( they are all physically fit ) The trainers here have so much compassionate and patience to work with each individual at different levels and backgrounds. I myself came from no workout routine or gym experience. I look forward every week to working out with Bradlee and Laura. I have Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays sessions. I would literally race home from work to go to the gym. That's how excited I am. They both make work out session fun and exciting. You finish off feeling great and not like an idiot for not know any of the workout moves. If you're looking for a gym that you can be comfortable in your own skin to workout and be healthy or get back on track.... Sweat Shop is the place!!

If you're like how I was: " I want to join but so out of shape that this may be a disaster" Have no fear. It really doesn't matter your skill level. Go at your own pace. Your work out group members will cheer you on, and the instructors will be patient and work with you! I did the 6am class for 3 months and saw a huge improvement in my breathing, strength and core. Twas a good way to start my day

I have worked out at a lot of places over the years, and this place has everyone beat. I just started a week ago and love it! All of the trainers are very knowledgeable and caring. I had a soccer injury in 2006 and my knee, hip, and back have been bad for years. I have had 2 knee surgeries and need a hip replacement, which I will not do. They modify the workouts for me so I can get into shape without it hurting my injuries. For the first time in years, I know I can do this and will finally get into the shape I have been longing to be in. From the first moment you walk into the door you will feel like family.
