I received an offer for a banking special by mail. I called and it was confirmed that I was eligible to apply. The postcard listed the Seal Beach address. I drove over there only to realize it's inside Leisure World and not open to the public. So then I went to the Lakewood branch. After waiting 20 minutes, Vanessa Ruiz informed me that I was not eligible for the special. I confirmed three times and three times she denied my eligibility. I asked for the manager, but was told she would be busy for 40 minutes. I asked if there was anyone else to talk to and was told no. As I was leaving, another bank patron told me she also had a negative experience with Ms. Ruiz. As I was about to leave, Alejandra Lopez the branch manager called me over to say that I could in fact do the bank special. She made a comment that I do not recall about my tone, which I thought was rude. When my transaction was completed, I informed her that I do not have a bad attitude, and to ask her to look at this whole situation through my eyes. Her response was that this is a "teachable moment" for her staff. I feel it's important to say that I have been to this branch before and the previous Banker was great.

My parents have been members since 1964. For the last five years, I have been driving them to another Nuvision branch, not knowing that there was a branch in Lakewood that was much closer. Since December 2022, we have handled our banking needs at the Lakewood branch. On our first visit to this branch, LARA, who is amazing, assisted us. She is professional, efficient, caring, and always remembers our names. After losing my Father, I have been handling all of my Mom's banking and taking her to the Lakewood branch with me. There was one time when my mom didn't join me, and the first thing Lara asked me was where is your Mom? She makes us feel like family. Nuvision, Lara is a gem of an employee! We wait for her on every visit and she consistently provides five-star service.

Lara's (teller) customer service prompted me to return with my daughter and open a new account which led us to being helped by Leo M. (relationship manager II). Both did a phenomenal job walking my daughter through the process and advising her.

We've been here a few years and like it. We switched over from another local credit union we had issues with. Their rates, while not the highest, are pretty high compared to most banks and other local credit unions on Money Market and CD accounts. Customer service inside the branches and online are great. Their online banking website is very state of the art. They're also open Saturdays which is helpful. Keep up the good work!

Hello my name is Brenda and I been a member for a while. I want to thank all the Tellers for being such a wonderful person. First, I want to thank Airyanna last month for her professional, kindness, and efficient. She was able to assist me with information that I didn't know how to obtain it. Airyanna was so helpful and understanding. I am beyond and pleased with the excellent customer service of Airyanna. She made my day and I felt so good when I left her window .Second, I also want to thank Lara for her excellent customer service. Lara has been with me from day one. Every time I come to her window she remember me and ask me how am I doing. I would tell her it's ok. She is so adorable to speak with. As a parent, going through a rough time Lara always makes me feel better when I visit her and she would tell me it would get better in due time. At the time it has gotten a little better and I am still working on it. I want to thank you Lara for remembering me. With all the guess that comes in, you have an excellent memory. I also want to commend the staff for a excellent service job well done

Olivia Constantino is so snarky. Please do not deal with her. My husband debit card was stuck in the machine. They said they would return with proper ID. I called my husband who works in LA to come and retrieve it. Only to know OLIVIA " SHREDDED "the card. Now we have to drive to OC or wait 10 businesses days to receive a new one. Don't bother coming here. They are not people to be Trusted. Manager Clara did try and do her best to make the situation better. She would reimburse me the expedited fee due to her Employee ignorance.

James (Andrew) was professional, expeditious and responsible and was able to get our loan approved and processed easily. It required some due diligence and he handled the whole process with grace. Definitely will be recommending him to my colleagues.

I initially went to Nuvision seeking auto loan services as I had some unexpected car trouble. I went in at nearly closing time. However, James Andrew Bourland was patient, friendly, and accommodating and stayed over to discuss options and other services that I was interested in. He processed my paperwork and provided several quotes for auto loans depending on the amount borrowed with interest rates. He checked in with me the next day and for the next several days to determine if I needed any further assistance. When I did find a car, I was offered a lower APR at the car dealership. I called Andrew to update him, and he did not try to talk me into utilizing the financing through Nuvision. He reiterated if I needed any further assistance, he was available. So far, I have had an excellent experience with Nuvision. As Andrew has stated, they want what is best for their customers. Andrew is great at answering questions, finding options, and getting back to me promptly for questions he did not have an immediate response to. Another plus to joining Nuvision is that you do not need a referral or to be a member of a specific company or organization.

I like this credit union but customer service is hard to call, the holds are long. The overdraft fees are ridiculous for a credit union to its members. Fortunately I don't overdraw very often but it happened a few years ago by accident and found out the hard way at even though I had plenty in savings which I thought I was set up as a backup. On the positive side they are ultra good about looking for dubious purchases from questionable vendors. Almost too conscientious , but it's better that way to protect their customers. They have all the convenience of online banking and deposits and other features.
