I received a call from Stacy, the Executive Director, who was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I requested to speak with someone higher up, she cut me off mid-sentence. I also asked for legal and corporate information, but my request was denied. This was the worst customer service experience I've had.

I started taking my toddler to swim the first Thursday in May 2024, when we arrived for our first lesson I was told that even though I paid in advance there was no record and until it was cleared we had to wait over 10 minutes before she started her first lesson. At that time they were still unable to locate my reservation but said we could join the swim lessons that were going on. The lesson I signed up for was parent and child water discovery. The swim instructor said I the parent did not have to join and she took my toddler into the water and started her first lesson at 3:45pm. The following week I showed up again for our 3:30 lesson with my swim suit on again and again I was told I did not have to join, my toddler joined the water with the swim instructor. We completed the month and at week 3 I asked the instructor if she would be doing the same class next month she said yes, I also asked if my toddler should stay in the same lessons level, she the instructor again responded yes. So the week before June 2024 started I enrolled my toddler again in the same class, we show up today June 6, 2024 and once again my toddler is not registered for the class even though I paid and received a confirmation receipt. So once again at the start of class I am standing in the hot sun waiting for the gentleman checking registration to find our paid for registration. I show him once again the receipt that was sent to my email upon paying and then he lets me know that he doesn't have an instructor but will get one, he gets someone to start the class and like before it's just the instructor solo so I'm under the impression I don't have to join and as I am not dressed to get in the pool and I am 7 months pregnant and high risk with limitations. I would have been prepared. Again outside of me being put on high risk with limitation I previously was told that I did not have to join the partner and child lessons. So after standing there for now 10 minutes in the heat I asked for a refund and the gentleman told me he could only put my toddler on another class, the class he wanted to put her in is with advanced children leaving my toddler vulnerable to just jump in the water with no protective gear nor another instructor in the water just the lifeguard that's more that 10 feet way from where lessons are administered. And to tell me that I'm not the only parent today that had a problem, I didn't care if it was 10 other parents with a registration problem my problem was that this is the second month in a row that the same issue with registration is a problem when I paid in advance. Once I informed them I felt discriminated against then they go and get an African American gentleman to help me as if that would make me feel comfortable when actually it made me more uncomfortable and frustrated because not only are you not listening to my concerns you think that if you go get someone who looks like me the situation would be made better. And all he did was what I asked for 10 minutes before he came over which was a refund because I seen that my child was not going to get lessons as she had received previously and the same instructor she had previously was in the water with a child by herself with no parent. The safe needs to have training on situation awareness, being bias and discrimination. They lack interpersonal skills and customer service. And this review will also be sent to corporate because I did not appreciate how i was treated which in turn caused my baby to be unable to participate in swim lessons which she has grown to love. Once she seen the water she already knew what today was and was unable to get in the water which then caused a toddler tantrum, all she knew is that she was unable to get in the water that she desperately wanted to get into.

Rev. Feltus reached out today and addressed my concerns he was very polite and thorough about the policies which I agree and understand. We came to a conclusion that he would bring up what my issues are to his other team members to try and help us moms of YMCA. I am grateful he reached out that was so nice and I would be even more thankful if we had a space for the parents and kids to wait/play. Attend classes etc Thank you again

Cleanliness of some facilities, especially men's locker rooms, has declined significantly in recent months. Now they seem to be watering down the soap too? It seems they're offering lower value services for the same price, even as the facilities get more crowded. Given this facility hosts families on the regular, the lack of care for cleanliness and neatness is especially disappointing.

This is a great YMCA, I recently donated some books and games that will be used for the youth in their programs. They have a small lending library for all ages, which youth access to books at no cost. They also have a lot of enrichment programs and activities for everyone.. swimming, outdoor/indoor gym, and so much more. It's super clean and family friendly. I'm glad I found this location and will continue to support youth in every aspect possible.

I love this place, overall much cleaner than 24 Hour Fitness in Cypress/Los Alamitos. The evening hours are however lacking. Closing at 9p is a bit short. Extended hours to at least 11p would be great.

Gym is clean and well laid out. Pool is a great resource. Front desk staff are helpful. The "Wellness Program" is another story. There is a small quiet space for stretching off the main gym floor. Unfortunately, the mgt has put a reformer Pilates class in this same space where the instructor feels free to play her music. It's annoying for the others trying to quietly stretch. The instructor also bellows her instructions usually to a class of ONE. Resistance bands have been missing for WEEKS from the stretching area. Similarly, the main gym floor is poorly managed. The free weights section is a problem; clothes and backpacks are routinely placed on the floor presenting a tripping hazard Members also use the benches as a kind of console for their possessions preventing members from using them to work out. Members also linger on stations at the universal gym for up to 40 minutes. The first idea that these ate shared resources seems lost on many members and management seems blind to the problem.

My go-to spot to have some “me time” away from the kids. Friendly staff and clean! Multi-generational is a huge plus!
