These guy's are the worst people I"ve ever had to deal with! I brought my 1969 Meyers Manx in for repair and it was horrible service! I asked to have new boots put on my newly powder coated axles and they scratched the hell out of them. They also charged me double the price for the boots than Buggyworks would have. Asked to have my 5 point seatbelts weaved into my race seats and they installed them outside the seats. They test drove it and left grease all over the floorboards and the owners brother tells me he drove the hell out of it with the parts girl in the passenger seat! Paid them and forgot the repair order and came back the next day and the owner decided I should pay them 80.00 more dollars. I did not pay it. Anywhere I have ever been gives me a bill and the exchange is final. As I was walking away the owner threatens me.

I took my VW Bus to Kline for a new engine update. The staff was very helpful. I told them what I wanted and they were able to do the work within two weeks. Because my bus was a classic they made sure it was safe in their area. Efficient work, knowledgeable and updated me on the progress. Would recommend them. Very happy with the outcome and pricing.

I don't know what shop you guys are near point to but it's a lie the service is lame I went in for a simple tune-up 900 bucks later my car still runs like s*** what would have took another shop a day took a week and a half so be careful don't take your car here unless you have another car to drive

Great business, good and pleasant people. Reasonable prices for parts and repairs. Carries most parts and also has some available used parts. Can build you any engine you would want, stock to high performance.

Poor customer service called a week ago told me they were too busy call back next Wednesday to check back the fella said. I called back a week later as per their request they told me to call back on Friday because it wasn’t a good time. Good for them they are so busy they don’t need another VW customer. I will never call this place again for my VW needs. Tell me you don’t have any more time for another customer instead of telling me to call back.

I have called south bay volkswagen 2 times on a recall issue. Was told 2 times someone would get back to me. Have not received a call back at all.

I live in OC, I drove all the way down here, did a 1600 DP long block exchange. Installed in my bus, Works GREAT... Highly recommended. Smart VW people. Great prices. There is nothing left in OC for air cooled VWs.Service: Engine repair

I hired Klein to install One of their newly rebuilt engines from their floor. They installed it. Two weeks later The number three cylinder blew up. They repaired it and the mechanic told me “the next one’s on you.“ I have since discovered that the engine that they rebuilt has two different types of heads. And now the number two cylinder has a bad valve guide and a bad valve. I also discovered that they left off the shims on the number four cylinder. So now I’m at a point where I must replace the entire engine.No paperwork. When asked for paperwork they said “we don’t do that.“I’VE BEEN KLINED!Service: Engine repair

Completely rude owner. He had no problem insulting you or talking bad about you to his employees while you were in the same room. He was also very upset and continued his insults when all I wanted was an engine, and didn't want to pay for them to install it. I don't know what kind if customers this business attracts.

I have a 64 bug, and I live in the central coast. In my neck of the woods shops like this do not exist for a hobbiest like me. So on a family trip to San Diego I went looking for a shop to sell aftermarket parts for my build, low and behold I ran into this place! This place is legit, Roger one of the owners was there to greet me and answer all my questions. This guy's is one hell of a guy!! I'll definitely be back to shop and continue on my build. Thank Kline VW and Roger!! You are awesome ????????

My son and I are working on his newly purchase 69 bug, we have had a few bumps in the road but Kline Volkswagen Repair has helped us on our journey. The guys are awesome, friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. My son says “these are my guys, never going anywhere else”. They have helped us trouble shoot, encouraged our mom and son project and helped guide us. They have integrity and have been honest and up front since they have meet us. These guys are awesome. Went in with a newer vw Jetta, they were honest and told me they didn't really work with newer vw's. However, they checked my oil and hooked it up because it was low. So sweet and professional, you can tell they really care about and take pride in their work. If you can get your vw fixed anywhere, get it done here.

Dave is really easy to work with and they really do go out of their way to help so I'd recommend them to my friends and family for sure. They helped me with my 1986 vw westfalia.

Roger and his guys are great. I brought him a Super Beetle that needed an engine. He was upfront and honest about everything. He actually recommended not doing the repair when I was willing to pony up for a rebuilt. Lots of integrity. He could just as easily ripped me off. I will be back!Service: Engine repair
