For a person who doesn't have too much experience about cars I took my ride for a smog check. My check engine light was on which I now know it wouldn't pass smog. With this in mind the employee saw the the dash and the check engine light but still proceeded to do the smog knowing it would fail and charged me $120. I went to a mechanic and fixed it then went back and it passed (another $120). Needless to say the guy hustled me which is my fault. Today I went to Guy Strohmeier's for a new car I bought, they only charged $70 and the first question they asked was, "Is your check engine light on?". Do not recommend this place and do what you like with this information.Service: Vehicle Inspection

If I could give Performance European 10 stars I would.Dave and his mechanics were friendly and easy to work with. They not only repaired my Lexus SC430 but they spent hours diligently researching the best solution to repair my car. Before they returned my car to me they checked and doubled checked it to make sure it was running correctly. Thank you! My car is running great and I could not be happier. I highly recommend them.

I just punched up the website and there was my Z8. Let me just say I have been using Dave and his staff for a long time with Porsches, BMW, and MBZ cars I have. A first class operation. Honest and competent. This came up by accident but I am very happy to give them a "top shelf" recommendation

I've taken my 2008 Mercedes Benz C300 to be serviced at Performance European for the past few years. Dave, the owner, is very knowledgeable, friendly & explains everything in detail. I highly recommend him!

Dave and his mechanics at Performance European have been servicing my family's cars for years. I have always owned BMWs and this is the only place that I will bring my cars to even though I no longer live in Lake County. They operate a top notch business with expert knowledge, honesty, good value and friendly service. I highly recommend Performance European for all your automotive repair & service needs.

I use Dave (owner) for all my service needs for our two Mini Coopers and BMW x1. They are all highly skilled due to requirements for these cars. I just recently had a new radiator installed as well as a transmission service. They went above and beyond in this service as they noticed my front and rear wipers needed replacing and replaced them Free of charge as a courtesy and after I inquired about my center console being loose or broken Dave realized it had just come undone and repaired it for me at No Charge!! I love this place and wouldn't take my vehicles anywhere else!!! Love these guys!!!

Owner should have done a pre inspection before attempting to smog my truck. Charged me $91 only to fail my truck. A good shop owner would have done that for sure. Went to Another shop 1st thing he did was a pre check. He said allways does that doesn't want to ding his customers. Truck passed smog no problem.. WON'T be recommending this place to anyone.. BEWARE of this shop he sees $100 bills more important then a Happy customer. Shop owner had no problem scanning my truck AFTER failing smog and charging the $91 .. would have saved me money..

Turned my check engine light off no problem after he recalibrated everything and was about 180 to pass through smog, but cuz he fixed it from being off timing. Was able to register my car and get my license. Thank you!
