The starter in my car went out and I had it towed here. Jeff and his staff are amazing they always help me when I need it I would never take a vehicle I own to another mechanic.

Five stars for honesty and great service. My dad brought his truck in, and since the problem wound up not being a "problem," Jeff didn't charge for his time. When I took my dad there to retrieve his truck, my own vehicle started acting up. Jeff took the time to look under the hood (without my having an appointment--and they were plenty busy!) and he gave me a diagnosis. I had to leave town, so I couldn't have the car serviced by him. And once again--he didn't charge me for his time. Because of this positive experience, I would go back to Deschamps anytime (if I lived in the area) and would highly recommend the place to anyone.

I have come here quite often for various car issues ranging from oil change to wheel bearings, brakes, ignition coils, replacing alternator and finding out what is going on with my car when I have no idea. They quickly get my car back on the street and I am grateful to have such a place to rely on!

When I visit my family in Lakeport, Deschamps is always the mechanic I take my van to for work to be done. I have an older van and most shops won't even touch it because it doesn't have a computer... I can always tell a real mechanic from what I call "fake" mechanics, because they don't need a computer to diagnose a problem and they'll do the work if you bring it in and already know what the issue is. Jeff is always great, reasonably priced, and explains everything very thoroughly. I highly recommend this shop for smaller and larger jobs. It's hard to find a good mechanic (and I travel the country frequently), and Deschamps has never steered me wrong.
