Rooms are old but mostly clean. There was some mold in the shower. Had some drunken idiot sitting outside in front of the rooms until after 2 am talking and playing a guitar. You can hear the cars and trucks rolling by on I-5 all night long. NOT a great night's sleep. This was in Early September and the weather was beatiful. There is a pool but the only thing swimming in the lime green water was leaves and mosquitos. High priced for this type of Motel and the quality.

Absolutely love this little motel and the owners who are accommodating and cool. Super clean, cute and quiet with an old school mountain town aesthetic that I love.

A beautiful motel, very clean, with each room having a great vibe to it. The pool is wonderful, especially sipping coffee in the morning watching the birds and hummingbirds fly by. The owners are super friendly, they treated my kid and I like we were part of the family. Highly recommend a stop at this motel!

Friendly service and helpful restaurant information from Michael! Room is small, but it was vrry clean, nicely decorated, and has a small refrigerator and coffee maker. Each room had a couple chairs and small table out front, and you can tell the owners care about the place. The motel is also quiet, and the pool looked fine. The location is excellent--The Basshole Bar and Restaurant is just across the street (good IPA on tap and perfect tri-tip sandwich) and a small coffee shop and great market are just a minute or so walk. I liked parking right in front of my room. Good service, nice room, and fine location--what more can you ask for?

We have frequented this hotel for many years. Easy access to the lake the store and dining. We loved the old owners and now are thrilled to see new life infused into this hotel. The new owners are kind and accommodating. Very family friendly environment.

Stayed for Two nights. Triple digit temps the room was scorching, They could have turned on the AC before we arrived and the refrigerator to. AC unit next to the door needs to be Upgraded to a more energy efficient units, Would probably save in costs to run a new AC compared to the outdated one. Borrowed a fan from a friend in town to help circulate the air coming out of the AC.

We stayed here in January 23rd on our way south. They were very accommodating even though they were in the process of renovation and new ownership. The room was very comfortable and clean. The room was cabin like with rustic pine walls. The mother even provided plates for our dinner we had brought with us. We will be back for sure.

The owners of the Shasta lake motel were life savers. My dogs and I were evacuated from our home because of salt fire. My friend who has cat also evacuated, We stayed in Redding and red bluff we found over priced, we came to Shasta lake motel when we found out they would talk in locals evacuated at 1/2 price. This was wonderful. The runs were clean it was quite and service was excellent. So nice. We stayed 6 days saved money and we’re comfortable and safe! You guys are awesome!

Unfortunately, I cannot describe my stay. We were stuck in a snow storm. We made reservations and got stuck in traffic for 6 hours. When we arrived, they would not open the door. Hugely disappointing. We ended up sleeping in our car with 2 dogs. BAD, BAD, BAD!!!!!

I gove them poor customer service. They were rude on the phone with me as a customer. If youre going to be rude on the phone how are you going to treat your guests in front of them. Also the way you conduct your buisnness is poorly. In regards to travelers; if u can't give their money back in regards to somthing happening that affects not just one person but everyone else. It should be considerate to refund money back. U dont make money off refunds I understand that. But when youre rude to guests trying to find a decent place to stay how the hell u gonna make money with bad customer service? Youre not because all the people I know stay there and people who want a good recommended motel, this will not be the place! This place is the most terrible place to stay ever! For 90! You can find more decent motels in redding or surrounding areas with greater servuce then these people give you! And when youre inside they act like youre trying to come into their home. What knuckleheads if they donr have a sign stating that's the offuce and have th3 counter open for anybody to walk right into the door leading into your aprtment or house you outta thinkabout putting a sign up that says ring bell for sevice or wait til someone comes out rather than act all whitey and high mighty your rudeness will not fly and will not win customers or guests at your motel! For how bad of customer service you have you should lower your rates to 40 a night. 90 is outrageous or offer your guests bed and breakfast st thwarted wirh such bad service
