About The Painted Turtle
The Painted Turtle is an incredible camp for children with severe medical conditions and disabilities, founded by Paul Newman as part of the Serious Fun Camps network. It is a nonprofit special paradise where campers are not charged to attend. The facilities are great, and the staff and volunteers are attentive, professional, and amazing. The camp is completely safe and fun, creating magical smiles, experiences, and memories for the kids. It is a life-changing and good-for-the-soul place where kids are the king. The meal service protocol is good for kids, though adult tastes may need to be addressed.
This is primarily a children's camp for kids with disabilities . Menu reflects this, and the protocol for meal service, while good for kids, is not effective for adult audiences. The facilities were great, and staff were attentive. Meal service for adult taste and expectations need to be addressed.

Special Paradise! Paul Newman has cultivated over 30 Painted Turtle Camps! Woodland Hills Woman’s club has supported by purchasing fabric for the turtle pillows! As well as sewing the pillows for the campers!
