Today, July 23, 2023, my husband, John, and I are celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary. Together, we were very happily married to two beautiful souls for nearly a century, but sadly lost them the same year, in 2019. Miraculously, we met online through a grief group--even though we lived over 400 miles apart. Our relationship was a lot like the movie, "You've Got Mail," corresponding everyday through email and FaceTime. We are writing this review on this special day, because we are very happy and so very blessed in large part because of Zuni Movers. The owner, Myra, and her assistant, Mary, personally "walked" through Jack's 2,300 square foot home with us and then sent Karla (an amazingly talented, intelligent, and compassionate young woman) to meet with us. Zuni gave us a very fair price, which included packing, labor, and all packing materials. We were amazed by Karla who oversaw the moving team and by the great care they all took in protecting our furniture and keepsakes as if they were their own. We were especially concerned about the 7' grandmother clock Jack's father had made; we even purchased extra insurance. However, we could have saved that money. Everything, including that precious clock, arrived without a single scratch. We had absolutely no damage to anything--everything arrived in perfect condition! The team packed everything so well, loaded the truck like a jigsaw puzzle (taking advantage of every square inch), that nothing moved around during the 400-mile journey. After arriving in northern Nevada, they unloaded the truck and even helped unpack many of the boxes. Karla helped set up our kitchen and put away many of our dishes. So, on this very special day for us, we want to say a heartfelt THANKS to all of the Zuni Movers team! You are amazing people--hardworking, thoughtful, caring, and honest! My furniture was moved from my mother's house to storage. The crew was extremely hard working, professional, efficient, careful, conscientious, kind, accommodating, and friendly..... just amazing! I could not be happier. I highly recommend them. The whole process was so well done. I haven't moved in years and was very pleased how this went. Thank you for doing such a great job!

Terrible.Beware! Don't use them.They took terrible advantage of my 80 year old parents. These are bad people.I have been trying for five months to resolve this.Beware!And when they were late the owner didn't take care of her employees.So I had them stay at my home.

I've just had the most amazing experience. I moved 17 months ago and used a mover " highly recommended" by an acquaintance. Biggest mistake ever! They literally held our possessions captive for thousands of dollars. The story is a nightmare and not what you need to know. Because we moved to (our version) of paradise our neighbors decided to follow us. My daughter moved in this time frame and used Zuni. They were great for her, so our friends hired them as well. This is what you need to know, Zuni Moving is so good, so honest, so helpful that they make the whole experience comfortable. Moving isn't fun! But when you hire Zuni they are on your team. It's the best feeling! I just spent the day helping our friends unpack and I am in shock with the difference in the two moves. The owner of Zuni, Myra, stopped by. She immediately began unpacking boxes as she supervised her crew. My primary job was furniture placement. It was a difficult job as all the furniture was antique. There was no "automatic" placement. Those gentleman cheerfully moved pieces up the stairs and back down. Some of them twice as we worked to figure out this difficult life size jig saw puzzle. Myra oversaw everything with such a cheerful attitude and worked at double speed non stop. She took trash away, donations to appropriate locations and looked for anything else she could do to help my friends out. I am furious at how awful my move was and thrilled we found Zuni for our new San Clementians.

Zuni was excellent! Their team showed up with packing materials and did our entire house then help me unpack at the new place. They were helpful, careful, considerate and checked in with any questions. Not a single thing was damaged and they even moved our piano! They went above and beyond all our expectations and we would highly recommend them. It’s incredible what was accomplished in one day and such a relief to know your things were handled well, put away correctly and being able to enjoy the new house without weeks of unpacking and lost items. Thank you Zuni!

Outstanding service. I have hired Zuni twice to move home items to storage and will be hiring them again when we need our moving truck loan for a future move.

I had a few week gap between the sale and purchase of my home. Zuni Moving helped me park up into pods for a few weeks and came to new home and unpacked. The team for both packing and unpacking were very professional and experienced in getting things done right. I hope I don't need to move for a very long time but if I do I will use a Zuni again!

Mary, the contact person at Zuni, is excellent! She is very helpful, and answers requests promptly. The men she sent to help me move some heavy furniture were strong, very clean and neat and worked efficiently! Five stars!

We used Zuni recently and they were recommended by our realtor. We did not have a good experience with them at all. We paid in advance, scheduled the slot at 8:30am to come do our move. They seemed so unorganized and probably overbooked themselves. They kept pushing our time every few hours and finally showed up 8 hours later. This seemed very unprofessional and the woman on the phone kept lying to us. The movers themself we're fine, it's just frustrating that my uncle had taken the day off work to handle this move, he's a single dad with two children trying to juggle it all. Hope they get more organized in the future.

Inexperienced and irresponsible. They used power tools to reassemble our Saarinen Tulip dining table and drilled through the marble top in two places. To "fix" it they had someone glue the marble pieces back into the top. Not exactly fixed. You really can't glue stone back together. Now we have to replace the marble top and the company is not taking responsibility for the repairs.

Zuni movers missed the mark. I spent almost 4K for a small move and they missed multiple cabinets of stuff. The owner also quoted me a number and wrote on the contract that the move would not exceed $3200 and then they asked for a check at the end for $3550. I've gone back and forth with them trying to resolve the issue and they are non responsive because I stupidly paid them what they asked (I didn't do the math until afterwards). Poor business practice in my opinion. Find a better priced and honest moving company if you can.

It's frustrating to write this review because I just used Zuni Movers for the 5th time in 17 months. Each time spending approx $1500. This last time was my final divorce move & it cost $1500. But this time I was incorrectly charged $75 for packing materials in error & only 30 min lunch was deducted from the hours when they took 70mins lunch (I live in a gated community so can prove this). Despite a phone call (Mary said she would get back to me but didn't) & then multiple emails I was returned $100 as a "fair compromise" as opposed to the $155 that I was owed.It's a matter of professional integrity, both for a repeat customer & because factually I was mischarged.I hope the $55 you saved was worth it guys.
