Friendly and knowledgeable staff, and if they don't have what I'm looking for on hand, they will have it the next morning waiting for me. Perfect!

This is not a wholesale as they claim. Home Depot has better price. Today, I purchased 10 1 1/4 PVC schedule 40, Walters charged me $20.16 per 10 ft vs. Home depot at $17.56. the same for 90 degree Walter sells it for 4.75 but Home Depot at $3.07.This is not a competitive price.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If only I could give this branch zero I would. even a one star is too good for this place. This is by Far the Worst Branch I have ever used!!!!! Rude, Slow they don't answer the phone when you call the person who answers the phone they send you to voicemail when you call back this same person sees your number on caller I.D. and doesn't even pick up the phone just sends you to voice mail. Words cannot express how unhappy i am with this branch. I would rather go to Any other place than us this branch. I would Drive 100 miles to avoid this place.!!! or just use C.E.D. for now on.........CONSOLIDATED ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTORS

After dealing with Home Depot for many years and becoming increasingly frustrated with their lack of specific knowledge and an inventory that often was insufficient for my needs, I decided to try Walter's Electric on the recommendation of a friend. I couldn't be happier. I ordered 40 recessed light trim kits and 10 eyeball replacement lights. Additionally I replaced all the light switches and outlets in my house. James and to a lesser extent Dave, the 2 guys at the counter, couldn't have been more helpful. They were extremely professional, knowledgeable and went out of their way to locate the exact parts I needed. The order was complete and ready for pick up as promised. There were no missing parts out of any of the boxes which I often find to be the case with Home Depot. Additionally, their prices were better than those of Home Depot. I highly recommend Walter's Electric, Lake Forest.

Very very bad customer service! I try to avoid this Walters, every time I go in to get a part the guys in the will call are always in a bad mood and act like it is a big inconvenience. I've also talked to a guy in the office more then a few times to get information about parts he is quick to get you off the phone and hangs up before the conversation is done. I've talked to a few electricians and they all say the same thing. Very poor service would rather go all the way to the Walters in Costa Mesa!

I called to ask about a certain piece of equipment twice, both times hoping for some confirmation that they had this in stock. This store had the worst customer service that I have ever dealt with. The first person I spoke to put me to voicemail right away without saying anything. The second person referred me to their "front desk" which turned out to be voicemail as well. Agreed with Thomas K. that this store has terrible customer service. As for the Lincoln O. review, I called during the afternoon so well within their business hours.

Don't use these guys. Quoted me a price on a part over the phone then when I went down to pick it up they wouldn't honor the price and were rude about it.

I'm told these guys have EVERYTHING. I wouldn't know. I tried to bring some business to these guys, but was turned away at the door. To be fair, they close at 5pm, and I pulled into their lot a couple of minutes after that. Not 5:10, not even 5:06, just a couple of minutes. Their door was open, and there were a number of staff visible, so I went in. At that point I was told that they were closed, and "that there was nobody there to help me". Strange, there were a number of employees standing right there. I can understand saying "we've already closed out the register and can't do anymore transactions today" or "sorry, but we're closed we've got to rush out of here as we all have to be at whatever". But, when you tell me that you can't help me because nobody's still there, and I can clearly see that there are a number of staff standing around, that tells me that you just don't want my business. Don't lie to my face, or if you are going to lie, at least make it creative and believable. I can understand this sort of treatment from a "big box store", but most of these smaller places are usually willing to go a little out of the way for their customers. That attention to customer care is why people spend their money at places like this rather than spending a little less to get the exact same thing at a big impersonal mega-store. Too bad. I only needed a single part that they should have had that normally runs ~$375. Taking the 5min it would have taken would have gotten them a regular customer. Instead I went online and ordered the part. I got it for a lot less than list, and it's being shipped to my house. So I saved $ and I don't have to drive all over town to pick it up. Smaller businesses like this need to focus on customer service or they're going to find themselves losing all their business to the big box stores or to online businesses.
