Bad cashier at checkout 1 is not friendly to customers she is rude and that is bad for the store

Worst experience ever today. Got social profiled by an employee he said his manger said to keep an eye on me because of the way I was dressed and it looked like I was going to steal. Couldn’t even shop in peace. Happened 3/6/2024 incident happened around 7:45 when I approached the manger to talk to her I have no reason to steal and just want to shop in peace without making eye contact at every aisle I go to. Manger told me to be quiet because she was trying to get his side like hello I think you need to be getting my side of the story not his because not it looks planned. But honestly can’t even tell you what to dress like before you got employees looking at you at every move. Manger is definitely a position she is not very capable of handling. Run the tape back and get rid of those people that need the boot no wonder it’s slow if that’s how you treat your customers!!!

I wish I could give zero stars to this grocery store.Dasani purified water bottles ordered through Doordash from this store smell terrible .Never come back there!

Almost all the staff there are super friendly and some itmes tend to expire or already expired so check dates. I shop here often and the app would not load so I clip digital coupons and Andrew , would not honor. He gave me a careless sorry. The app sucks , just look at the reviews on the app itself. I even went next door to the gym to connect to wifi. So sad , I got here often weekly daily. I understand it's a busy time of the year but he could have taken the time to listen.

Super groceries store where you can find anything you, specially catering and restaurant supplies, too. Depending on the brand, you might find good deal here.

Looked all over the city for pork shoulder to roast. No where only cut up boneless loin chops. Smart n Final you had a perfect whole pork shoulder roast. Octoberfest in full swing! Will check back for a whole turkey on sale in November.

The store itself is fine and when I asked for help the employees were helpful. This review is about my experience at the register and parking lot. The check out lady named Yevon didn't leave the best impression. I was going to use the digital coupons for the items I was purchasing at the register & I showed that I clipped it. She looked annoyed and said "no I can't accept that". So I asked her how to use the coupon. She said I had to download the app, make an account, and put an email and phone number and first and last name (as if that's gonna take forever lol) and then said the signal in here is terrible so it takes forever to download the app aka discouraging me to download the app and use the digital coupon because it was a hassle or something. I ended up downloading the app in ten seconds and doing everything she told me in less than a minute so idk why she was making it sound like getting the digital coupon was such a huge hassle. She could've just helped me find the barcode to scan on my app and then we'd be done but no she just stood there waiting for me with poor body language as if I was the greatest inconvenience in the world. To top it all off, the shopping cart guy in the parking lot hit my car with a shopping cart and I had to confront him. He's lucky the cart didn't leave a huge mark on my car. I asked him to be more careful next time & I made up in my mind that I won't park near the carts again.

I have always found prices here expensive. This chain is best when you're in a rush and want to purchase a few items when prices don't matter. When shopping, be sure to check the price labels as they don't always seem clear as to how many items you have to buy to receive a better price. Smaller chains like this do not have the buying power like a Vons, Ralph's or Walmart. Prices are not as competitive.

Great service and very clean environment, I left my cart unattended for 10 mins came back in the store and all 3 items in my cart were back in their place. Had to go and do my shopping again.

I have so many unpleasant encounter in this store, but this week was the worst. My husband and I on the line to pay for 2 big packs of coffee and some chips. This cashier named Luisa asked me "Is this our bag?" Her facial expression was flat and appears irritated. I did not understand the question, I was smiling at her and said "Huh?" She asked again "Is this our bag?" Still don't know what to answer because I don't know what bag she's referring. Luisa then said "Do you understand my question?" Still appeared irritated. I answered "Actually, I don't." Luisa pointed on one of the coffee and said "did you get this here?" I answered "yes". Luisa then said "That's a very simple question." I verbalized to her, "Why will I bring an item from outside and pay in your store?" Luisa answered, "some people do." She tried ringing the item again and still did not scanned. Luisa ask again "Where did you get this?" I Politely answered "at thé coffee section." I was so tempted to answer her rudely "In the freezer or detergent section where coffee suppose to be stocked!" Luisa left for few minutes, look for the manager. The manager scanned the item and shake head no. The item still did not scan. I was thinking of insisting to get the item to see what will they do, but second thought, don't want to waste any of my energy and time. I tried to tell Luisa to choose her words next time, but she continued to speak at same time I was speaking, still saying "It's a simple question" over and over. I departed with the last word "very rude." The manager was beside Luisa and did nothing. That will be the last time we will enter Smart and Finals in Lake Forest.
