What a dump. J's Liquor is a depressing and wildly expensive Liquor Store off Jeronimo and El Toro that seems to service people that regularly make very poor financial and lifestyle decisions. Out front, you will be greeted by any number of folks spending what little money they have on scratchers while consuming tobacco products and having that interesting transient-but-not-quite-homeless look we all aspire to. Inside, you will find a dirty and dismal slag heap that has not seen any cleanser anywhere since the Clinton era (if even that soon). They have a decent selection of cheap Beer, Craft Beer, Spirits, Tobacco items -- and let's not forget those great lottery games -- but everything is obscenely over-priced and the scumbag behind the counter is almost enjoying the way he nickel and dimes the people that can afford it the least with criminal transaction fees. It is one of those bodegas that want you to pay for their overhead plus 10% over retail under the guise of "convenience". Other perks include tight parking, a day laborer area in the adjacent parking lot, and awesome-looking bars on the windows that really set the tone as soon as you park. I am honestly a bit stunned the city of Lake Forest allows a business like this to keep its license because it is such an eye sore. J is a despicable scoundrel so don't encourage him and his cronies.

Clean, owners and employee's are welcoming, they have it all and do it all. Groceries, check cashing at a cheap price, gifts ideas.

I will tell you why. This place is ok, this little shopping center has a lot of good things. J's has been there for a while and has a good selection. But be careful not a safe place. To may thing happen around the area. If you go be safe.

Excellent place for the neighbors to buy anything. I like this place, they have almost everything. You can find anything from liquor to food. But they closed their kitchen recently so no hot-food. Other than that, excellent and cheap price for all services.

This place is pretty sketchy. I would not recommend to do a stop by to pick up any items that you need at this liquor store. Right as you walk in it feels very eerie and unsafe.

With all the liquor store in my area this is by far the best. Great service with a smile and laugh. I love the variety to bears. Very unique and wild flavours. They have a huge selection of non alcoholic drinks and snacks. Organised and clean.
