Three months ago, I temporarily moved to South America and brought my two dogs with me. At that time, I was referred to a veterinary hospital in Orange to obtain the pet health certificates needed for their travel. Unfortunately, the fees were astronomical, and the experience was not the best.
Now, three months later, a friend is coming to visit me and will be bringing my cat along. I discovered that El Toro Veterinary Hospital issues USDA pet health certificates, and they were able to assist me with my request. It's worth noting that not all vets can provide this service by filing online and having the certificate emailed back literally within a couple days, many have to mail in the paperwork, which can take a long time.
I cannot say enough good things about my experience at El Toro. First of all, the prices were extremely reasonable. Carolina at the front desk was a godsend. Since I’m in South America, I had to arrange everything over the phone for my son to bring my cat in and handle all the paperwork. Carolina was patient and accommodating throughout the process.
Dr. Paul Francis was incredible as well. I genuinely cannot praise my experience enough. If you’re traveling out of the country and need a pet health certificate, this is honestly the best place in Orange County. They are fast, efficient, professional, friendly, and accommodating. I’d give them 10 stars if I could!

Took my 13 year old maltese in to get flea medication. Got same day appt. Dr. Paul Francis was knowledgeable, honest and kind. Did not up charge. Happy I finally found a reliable and fair vet.

I recently took my dogs to El Toro Animal Hospital, and I’m impressed with the quality of care and affordability. They offer incredibly cheap vaccines, and new customers even get a free exam! The service was fast and efficient, and the veterinarian took the time to thoroughly examine both of my dogs. Overall, it was a great experience, and I felt confident in the care my pets received. Highly recommended!

We had an emergency on the 4th of July with our little baby kitten, Rafie, who is about six weeks old. We had just rescued him about two weeks ago and brought him to his new home. He was so happy, excited, and very playful. However, a day prior to the 4th of July, I noticed that he was having difficulty using his litter box. He was trying to poop but was struggling, squeaking, and crying, eventually having a discharge of clear drops. I immediately took him to the Emergency Hospital that was open that day. The doctor on duty took some X-rays to see what was happening to his little body. They told us that they could see his intestines were blocked by something, so they gave him an IV to hydrate him, administered some meds, and advised us to monitor him at home until we could take him to his regular vet on the 5th.
The next day, he was still feeling sick and in pain, so we took him to El Toro Animal Hospital. The doctor on duty that day was D.V.M. Paul Francis. From the moment Paul began examining him, everything changed for the better for our little Rafie. Paul was gentle and kind with our little one, conducted an exam and X-rays, and returned with the results that indicated immediate surgery was necessary without delay. He proceeded with the surgery, and a few hours later, we took Rafie back home with antibiotics to aid his recovery. I cannot praise Dr. Paul Francis enough for saving Rafie's life. We are grateful to him for his knowledge, clear explanations about what was happening, and detailed description of the procedure and aftercare. He patiently answered all our questions and concerns about the surgery, which made us feel at ease.
Even after bringing Rafie home, Dr. Paul Francis kept in constant communication with us every single day for the whole week, calling and texting to check on Rafie's progress and ensure we were updated. He truly exceeded our expectations. Thank you, Dr. Paul Francis, for being there for our little furry baby, Rafie's Family :)

I took my Shih Tzu in today as he needed a rabies vaccine and a nail trim. Dr. Saad and the whole staff there is amazing. My dog Winston is nearly 17 and they treated him with love and kindness. I’ll never go anywhere else. Thank you to El Toro Animal Hospital
