Closed my account because the service is lousy. I could hardly understand the person helping me because of her thick accent. She told me that I should make an appointment to be given service, then suggested that I close my account if I wasn't satisfied.

Called and no return calls. They don't answer their calls either. Don't know what's happening with Citibank. No wonder their review is in the bottom. Seems like all of them. Even if I where to go to a different bank. Thinking of moving my business account elsewhere.

I came today to transfer money from a check, and the older lady with a blue jacket told me in a demeaning tone, that she will only do it twice. I always come to this bank and never received such treatment before. I hope not to deal with this bank teller again and I don't very much recommend this bank.

It was my first time coming to this location, and I've had the worst service in any city bank that I've been to. Not only that senior citizen in line ahead of me completely annoyed and complaining how slow their service is, the older lady bank teller who served me keeps allowing herself to get distracted by her colleagues rather than focusing on the customer while doing a transaction! Do better with your service, focus on your customers!

Beware Investment Advisors at Citi. Last Dec 2021, citi branch setup my mom to get investment advise. Advisor Anna persuade my mom to invest all her svgs into a Franklin municipal bond fund. Less than 1 mos, the fund dropped over $5k, and by 5th mos, it dropped $16k more than 11%. Noted my mom is 81 yrs old, do not speak English, and has NO grammar school, not any investment background. I filed a compliant to Citi investigation team. What it came back was she was in suitable investment because her tolerance level is "moderate", and investment knowledge is "moderate". How on earth does a 81 yrs old widow evaluated as "moderate" risk + experienced investor? Then I find out the decision of "suitable fit" was based on "new acct form" she signed. Anna asked my mom signed an open account form (in English), computer-typed by her, ck box "moderate" investment exp, and moderate risk. So my mom never knew what she signed, but was told in chinese that it was an open account form.I was present, and I did asked "shouldn't we wait until next year because Fed is increasing rate, and wouldn't this bond fund goes down?" Anna replied, she followed this fund over 20yrs, and it is very safe and will go back up eventually if it goes down one year. So far, my mom has lost $16,000 over 11% in this fund within 6 mos. And I later find out citi advisors receives commission from clients and being year-end, advisors must be desperate to meet quotas. Also, Please be aware there is no such thing as "Compliant dept" because there is no person's name who email you nor contact phone no. (Only they can talk justify they're right, but you can never talk to anyone! ) When you call and file a compliant, they take your compliant and after 1-mo reply your email with some ridiculous excuses that your investment is right fit, it is just your bad luck investing on the market. Yikes. Citibank has gone downhill for sure. It is difficult to do anything. They are out of twenty dollar bills, FYI. Seriously, you're a bank. Do better.

Used this branch off and on for 15 years. Last time was 4 years ago. Always experienced professional service with a pleasant attitude. Cathy has been there all of these years , always greeted me with a smile and completed whatever transaction was needed in a competent manner.

Citibank has been holding my $30,000 for almost 3 months & telling me that they will send me a check soon. I have been checking my mails for 3 months & not getting my check. I have been calling their different departments & every time their ignorant employees lying & telling me that my check is on the way & that I'd receive it in 7 to 10 days. Today after I talked to another of their incompetent employees & heard the same lies, I sat & cried. Very very frustrated with them. I am not going to do any more business with this bank. This bank should be closed for ever.

Well, it appears that Josephine is definitely "consistent" when it comes to her customer service skills or lack there of. Needless to say, had it not been for the fact that we needed to "deal" with CitiBank in the first place, we do not plan on E-V-E-R utilizing the so called "services" of this branch. *Lake Forest, CA off El Toro Road- So as not to discourage anyone from another office. NOTE: Invest in training your employees OR Re-invest in new one's and off load those that earn you these "stellar" reviews! Remember...you're only as strong as your weakest link...

Rude lady (Hiba) scolded me for not having the right ID. I was with my kid too. My kid even said she was rude. They should hire nicer pleasant people or send them to training!

I have never been motivated to write a review for a bank before in my life, but "Personal Banker" Hiba at this location was incredibly rude and I am not surprised that this location already has only 2 stars... We went to the branch in Mission Viejo near our house to cash some savings bonds this morning. The branch manager was very apologetic, but he had some sick calls today so he only had one teller and a line of about 10 customers. He called 2 other branches to see if they had at least 2 tellers available, told them we had savings bonds to cash, and asked if he could send us over. He even tried to help the line to see if he could help anyone or they could use the ATM so that the teller could help us, but everyone needed a teller. We [unfortunatey] came to Lake Forest because it was closer to us. We walked in and there were 5 bank employees standing / sitting with 0 customers. Perfect! We told Hiba that we were coming from the MV location where the manager had called from and had the savings bonds. We have 52 bonds, have been Citibank customers for decades, and Hiba seemed overwhelmed by this (even though the branch was empty, she had talked to the MV manager moments earlier, and she would have nothing to do with processing them). She walked over and complained to her teller - in front of us - then told us VERY RUDELY that her teller could not process more than 20 bonds today. Meanwhile, the entire time we were there only 3 other customers came in and all employees but the one helping us sat around (Hiba did take her break, of course, right after she assigned a teller to us LOL). Suffices to say, we will not be coming back to this location, ever again. The teller was very nice and even did 5 extra bonds for us (THANK YOU), but as a Manager for over 15 years myself, Hiba needs to be removed because this was one of very few branch experiences I've had with Citibank and unfortunately she was absolutely vile and did not represent the company well at all. Very disappointing. Citibank or Branch Management needs to take action here. The reviews are overwhelmingly negative.

Nightmare! They allowed someone to drain my account - write bogus fake preprinted checks with no signature needed - its been FIVE months and they are giving me the run around - I keep calling and calling and they tell me to wait - sign a form - then they say they never got it - closed the case - I have to start ALL over again - AWFUL customer service!!!! AWFUL nightmare that should be resolved and still isn't. It is appalling that they allow this and then I have to fight and fight to get it reversed. I have spent HOURS on the phone with them and in person visits.

ATMs are disgusting. Covered in coffee spills worst Than the ones you see inside a ghetto gas station .. for being a reputable bank you would think they would do something about it.. it's been a month since I first visited and now I cuz I I need a some $$ and it hasn't been cleaned..
