I was really disappointed with the customer service I received from the front counter clerk Lia. Our family was tired from a long trip and Lia was not personable and messed up on our room assignment 3 times causing me to walk from the wrong room 3 times because my room key did not work. On top of that I asked for Pillows and sheets while she was working and they were never delivered to the room. The room had dust on the ceilings and the TV in the suite was not connected to the internet to order movies for my family. The next day the service was better but when it matter Lia failed. Really disappointed because I talked up the Resort to my family and it was embarrassing for me.

Great time here, restaurant was great, service by staff (thank you rocky and Michelle) was stellar, village is literally a 3 min walk, super cute decor in December. We will be bk with the rest of the fam. The suite is totally worth of the price, especially if you plan on using the sofa bed but overall the staff and service here was incomparable and you dont really get that in CA anymore.Nearby activities: Santa's village, Stater Bros, pharmacies, all in walking distance.

An absolutely wonderful mountain hotel resort & spa, very beautiful architecture reminiscent of swedish ski chalets, with lots of warm woods and an extremely spacious main lobby decorated very nicely, and a wonderful bar! Staff was very nice and accommodating! And the views of the lake and trees was so picturesque. Quick note, currently no bellhops, so just keep that in mind if you don't travel light.

Horrible. Our trip was ruined! This was our 3rd trip to Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa. Every 2 years we do a family reunion. We’ve always had an amazing time!!!!This year was ruined by EMILY! Yes, Ms. Emily is the Head Bully of the front desk!My husband has MS and is permanently in a wheelchair. We have traveled with a “Certified Service Animal” for 20+ years and have never encountered such rude treatment!Emily wanted to know what service he provides? Which no one has ever asked us before. In fact, no one has ever questioned the situation. I was so caught off guard for a perfect answer. The Certificate says Multiple Sclerosis, under “Service”. Isn’t that enough?? I replied he’s a therapy dog. I even showed her his credentials. She called “no way” on that. Still not good enough! She wanted that $150 deposit apparently so badly that calling out, embarrassing and harassing a disabled person and his family, in front of others for what?….supposedly trying to sneak a dog in, was no problem for her!!!Ms. Emily, for your sake, I hope in the future you do not become disabled. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. It affects all aspects of your life. Day to day life is one hardship after another. I can tell you traveling is one of the hardest and most stressful! But worse is a rude, insensitive person at the end of your road! Especially in a place you are excited to be going for some rest and relaxation!Maybe you should educate yourself a little bit more on the necessity of Therapy Dogs. Comfort animals are no joke for people suffering from many disabilities. The Veterans of this country travel with therapy dogs that assist in PTSD. Which is a very real affliction.I will be reporting you to the ADA!Good day!

We came here for my brother's wedding, and it was also my birthday weekend. My husband called ahead, and we ended up with a wonderful view of the beach / lake. The bedroom was clean, the patio was awesome (we spent most of our time on it, if we were in the room.) The staff was accommodating with our request for a safe for our bedroom. The only complaint was the housekeeping never came to our room from Thursday-Monday. I had to call the front desk to get new towels. The reception was held at the resort, and it had amazing views of the lake.

I had my wedding here and although the wedding went well the experience going into the wedding was not great, especially from the front desk and sales staff.First of all the hotel doesn't let you book in person so don't expect them to help when you arrive. I had tried to reserve a room for my parents for the wedding day and they told me they couldn't help and I had to go online even though I was there in person. We booked our wedding 8 months in advance and received a call 3 days before our wedding saying they did not book our wedding suite. On top of that, they over charged us $3700 which was not even recognized until I reviewed all of the documents and noticed the delta the day before the wedding. The only reason our wedding went well was because Darrel (the day of coordinator) did an excellent job in getting these issues fixed even though he wasn't the one who made these errors. The absolute cherry on top was the rude blonde front desk manager. My husband and I had a Christian wedding and used a wooden cross for our ceremony. The next morning when we went to pick it up, the front desk worker and another worker were trying to move the cross. We mentioned to them not to worry that we were there to take it home and she said, "okay good because people don't want to see that." Absolutely unbelievable! If this were any other religious arch I'm sure she wouldn't have said anything. This definitely left a bad impression and I will not be encouraging anyone to be stay here in the future.

Our room was not ready at 4pm but they did give us access to the pool, spa and beach. It's actually pretty decent for the price... pool was kind of dirty but it was a busy weekend... our lake view room did not have a very good view of the lake but all in all it was a good experience. ... probably one of the better places to stay at Lake Arrohead.Walkability: Walking distance to the village and brewery.

I would give is a 3.5 if i could.CONS: For being on the water, this hotel was great. However, if it wasn't on the water, I would absolutely not pay the price I did. You can tell the hotel is a bit older. Things are randomly broken and not working in rooms. The first room we were put in smelt like cigarettes really badly and i was getting a headache after 5 min of being in there. They were great about moving us. Said sorry & made it happen quickly. The second room was better but i still smelt a faint cigarette smell. We stayed to avoid wasting more time moving around because we only had one night booked and very little time and wanted to just get to the lake. My least favorite part about the hotel was the fact that they did not have free coffee. Such a buzzkill in the morning. They have coffee machines in the rooms but mine did not work. I mentioned it to the front and they told us to just go buy coffee in their shop. They absolutely should have given me one for free, instead I had to buy a iced coffee for $5 at their little shop inside.PROS: I would say this hotels average rating on google reviews is pretty accurate. The hotel lobby is nice. The location is amazing, right on the water. They have a restaurant inside the hotel (i didn't eat there but its convenient for guests to have). We loved hanging near the dock, and theres food/stores/restraunts in very close walkable distances. The hotel is GREAT for older kids to run around because its safe & very intimate. Our kids (11/12yrs old) loved the game room, pool, and jumping in the lake off the dock. Overall, i would come here again as long as the cost was similar/lower to what i paid this last visit. I wouldn't pay much more than i did (approx $220/night) for our one king bed.

We toured Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa for our wedding and absolutely loved the grounds and staff. Laurie took such great care of us and took the time to answer all of our questions and show us several options of what our special day could look like. Everyone we encountered from the restaurant, coffee shop, front desk, and the wedding team were fantastic! They make you feel like you are important and are take the time to get to know you rather than just another couple coming through the door. I greatly appreciated their hospitality. Not to mention their food was so scrumptious! If you are looking for a venue to get married, highly recommend you give this resort a chance. The views from the ceremony location are incredible and there are so many amazing photo opportunities throughout the property. If you are looking for class, beauty, and a great time, Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is the place to be!

The staff were great and the room and overall atmosphere was awesome. My wife and I wanted a quick getaway to relax and chill and this resort was perfect. Had dinner in the restaurant and the food and service was great. We have found our close getaway destination.

Expectations for a 4 star hotel are comfy beds, nice room amenities (soft toilet paper), and friendly front desk staff. Unfortunately, this hotel missed the mark on all 3. The location is fantastic but likely because of that, they feel safe cutting corners in other areas. They tried to put us in a room attached to their wedding venue spot with a wedding happening that day (music blasting when we checked in), and when we asked for a room change because we were looking for a relaxing weekend, the front desk staff (Tiffany) was very rude. Pool was full of kids, so if that’s not your vibe, I’d recommend looking for another option.

The location is nice. However, if you are looking for a quite and peaceful vacation, go somewhere else.Apparently, the hotel is an event hotel, and if you pay extra for a nice room with view and balcony, you end up having an outdoor event right below your balcony! The noice was unbelievable, and the thin walls and glass doors did not help at all. On the top of it, the receptionist told us that there is going to be another event the night after, so two out of the three nights of our stay… so they moved us to a different room that was not worth the extra pay. Eventually we found out that the information the receptionist gave us was not correct and there was not another event and we could have stayed in our room! We specifically said that if it is just one event, we won’t move to a different room. One more point to consider is the lack of enough chairs near the pool or at the beach. If you want to get a chair, you need to get up early and go put a towel to save the spot. And this is in the middle of the week… not on a weekend!Overall, very disappointing experience.

This hotel has so much potential, but it misses by a long shot. The staff was less than welcoming — I found them cold, and absolutely not willing to make any special arrangements for our stay. We visited this resort for a very special occasion and the staff made it very clear that they are not willing to accommodate anything other than a bed to sleep on. The food was not good and over priced, the meals came out incorrect — not to mention it took an hour and twenty minutes for eggs, bacon and toast (which was supposed to be a bagel). The resort is strangely strict about their towels? God forbid you don’t return the towel to the desk, they will charge you. Meanwhile they took the towels off of our sun chairs without our permission, so you can imagine how much of a pain it was to rectify this. They made us fill out forms to collect new towels… What are these towels made of?Everything just felt broken or run down or not available? The television did not work, and their engineer didn’t know how to fix it. False promises our entire stay on that front. 90% of the locker rooms in the men’s room were out of service. All of the EV chargers broken except one. The room felt worn — the plugs loose, the drawers broken and remain completely ajar, the air con that is only strong at night. They make you wear these tacky yellow wristbands and they tell you that if you lose or break them, you are out of luck. It’s giving major motel energy.I would not recommend this hotel until they make some major upgrades. The location on the lake and the size of this property means that this hotel could be an absolute win, but they need to hire some new staff and change their operations a lot.

My husband and I got married at the Resort back in April of this year. We had planned our wedding for over a year, and through the whole process there were many challenges we faced up until about a month before our wedding day, most of which were beyond everyones control. Despite these challenges, the wedding team at the Resort really stepped up and put our concerns at ease, and gave us the perfect wedding weekend. Jamie, Laurie, & Lori, were absolutely wonderful. The wait staff was great, and the food was wonderful! Everyone was so kind, attentive, and they worked so hard to make sure there was not a single problem on our wedding day. Everything flowed seamlessly, and we had the time our lives. We cannot wait to go back up and visit on our wedding anniversary. :) <3
