great service with a personal touch. Straight shooters who give you the details without the fluff. Much better option than the dealer and a fraction of the price and time for the repair. Always bring out family vehicles here when needed and recommend fully.

I was really happy to find this place, and initially thought they were great. Unfortunately, the most recent service experience broke my trust. I won't ever go back and recommend you find another shop. Specifics: I've owned the car for 10 years. I took it in a few weeks ago because there was a clunking noise coming from the front right wheel area. They fixed the clunking and said I needed do a repair to the tie rod **so that the alignment could be done**. I decided not to do the repair, because the alignment being off wasn't severe. Just days after the repair, the steering wheel locked up because the tie rod detached. John claimed that it wasn't his fault. That it was 100% chance that the tie rod came loose a few days after he worked on the tie rod. He wanted me to believe that, after 10 years....it just 'happened' to break after they were working on it. Coincidence?? I wasn't looking for a full refund or anything. Just some acknowledgement that what they did had some impact. That he decided to claim, against all logic, that his work and NOTHING to do with it broke my trust.

Laguna Viejo does it again! My 2014 xterra just shut off in idle one day then developed sporadic, random issues but wouldn't throw a code or show anything particular that could be diagnosed. John kept my car all day, test drove it many times to see if they could find a problem and didn't charge me for any diagnostic work. I took it home and brought it back when it finally threw a code, they diagnosed it in minutes (a reasonable and fair cost too) and politely reminded me it was time for new brakes and rotors which I knew I needed. There's no guilt, no upselling, no tactics. They communicate clearly and efficiently via text which I love, there's no phone tag. I asked so many "could it be this" questions and they were polite, patient and answered every one. They are an honest, fair and professional team and I've trusted them with my cars for 20 years now. Staff: What a great team there. The two ladies in the office were friendly, knowledgeable, and very personable. Value: Good deal for a smog check. It was $53.00 (AAA discount) and I was done within about 20 mins. Overall: Very very impressed. This will be my new mechanic for my gas powered car in the future as long I have it. Great job Laguna Viejo auto service.

My car was towed in by AAA. It would not start and AAA did not know why. So South County saw the car Monday morning. They diagnosed the fault, ordered a new part and fitted it all on the same day. My car is an old BMW so needs knowledge of its working that they understood. So it was all good. Recommended.!

My partner and I were on a road trip when our rented car broke down. Sergio was so kind to us and have us a fair price even though he knew we were desperate. He was attentive to detail and was patient enough to answer all of our questions.Would 100% recommend without a doubt!

You clearly have no idea how to conduct proper service, business or repairs. I am very concerned with not only your experience but also your knowledge in mechanics. It behooves you to fix your wrongs, and do the right thing for a "customer" You took my money for a repair which you didn't complete, and lied about the service you were able to provide. Not only that, but you stole MY documentation so I could provide it to a REAL facility.

Don't even want to give a one star to this guy. Sergio is super shady he's only out to get your money. He doesn't do a good job on your car at all and just keeps increasing the prices. Look at the reviews most all of the good reviews are years old from when the old owner Andy was there. Sergio is the new owner and I wouldn't waste my time or Money on this place. There are so many more auto repair shops that will get the job done and do you right

Sad to even have to write this review but I need people to stay far away from this place! My poor mom got taken advantage from the owner Sergio. She has taken her car here in the past before Sergio took over and when her AC went out (not blowing cool air) she brought it back to this place. Sergio of course made it clear that he is the new owner and can't honor any warranty but he can fix the air conditioner by replacing the the AC compressor. She paid him over $600 for the repair and he worked on it all day. Right as she was pulling out of the parking lot she noticed it wasn't working and still blowing hot air. She brought it back in, he flushed something out and it worked. Next day it didn't work again so she made an apt to bring it back in. Was there for a few hours and said it needed another part. She bought the part and made another apt to come back. Today she brought it back in, all day working on it. She called to check on it and he said that it's not working, he has spent too much time on the car and not sure what to do. She can keep it for another day but he said she won't be smiling afterwards. Basically meaning he can keep it longer but it won't be working. What really upset me was he said that she isn't his customer and has wasted too much time and money on this. I'm sorry but how is she not his customer?! Didn't she pay him for the work, didn't he agree to work on it. I then spoke to him to clear up information and hopes to get more insight, all it did was make it worse saying the same exact thing and he hung up. He flat out used my mom, was rude to her and took advantage. Even at one point when she was in the waiting area for her car, Sergio and her were talking when he left another woman in the waiting room told my mom that she thinks he is jacking her around too. Sadly many of us don't know cars so when things happen we bring them in to a car mechanic thinking that they will be trust worthy and be the expert in what needs to be done. Sometimes even professionals make mistakes but they can always hold themselves with respect, compassion and honesty. After multiple calls and complaints he said my mom can pick up the car, he will refund the money and put all the old broken parts back in and we will have to find someone else to fix it. Don't waste your time money or trust on this guy. We have been locals for over 35 years we will let all our family and friend know to not go near this place! To make matters worse and add to the story I went down to the Place with my mom so she could get the reimbursement. he acted like he was a nice guy that he ended up letting us keep the new air compressor he put in and giving us the reimbursement. So my mom went to just ask more detail so that way she has as much information that way when she goes to the next place to get it actually fixed she knows and can keep them up to speed about what has been done. when she asked that then he reversed his words about giving us a new air compressor he said well that one that is in the car is completely broken and now the whole air conditioning unit is fully messed up and it's a $3000 job that she will have to do at the next place. The funny thing is is right before we drove down the last thing he said was we could keep it into the next day and he can try to work on it and put a new air compressor to see if that fixes it but he guarantees that we will be leaving without a smile but yet now he says that he knows what's exactly wrong and that we need a whole entire system. All he does is say one thing and then the next the icing on the cake was he gave my mom the check and my mom brought in the one receipt she had from the first time she brought it in for the $600 she only brought it in because she wanted to make sure when he writes the check that it was the exact amount that she paid he ended up taking the receipt that was hers and she asked for it back she said that's my receipt and I still would like to have that for records he took it and told her flat out he is
