I purchased a $50 Starbucks gift card from Ralphs at 28231 Crown Valley Pkwy, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677
All Ralph's stores are owned by Kroger corporation.
The card was activated, and I kept the activation receipt. The card was given to my child's teacher. That evening, the teacher informed me that the card was not working. Imagine the embarrassment I felt in front of the teacher, it was very unpleasant for me.
I called the phone number on the activation receipt, and the operator told me that Ralph's should issue a new card.
Confident that the problem had been resolved, I drove back to the Ralphs store, where the employee rather rudely told me that it was not the store's problem and that I should call Kroger corporate again. I was denied a meeting with the store manager. They refused to give me a refund for a non-working card. I called corporate again, where after long conversion they told me that the card was properly activated and it was a problem on Starbucks' part.
After calling Starbucks and emailing to their support service, Starbucks promised to sort out the situation within 3-5 business days. After several days they emailed me that this was not Starbucks’ problem and the retail store should refund my money.
As I already wrote, Ralphs refused to return my money.
What I have at the moment: money spent, a very uncomfortable situation with the teacher, the time I spent trying to resolve this situation and zero results. Two huge corporations - Kroger and Starbucks - simply took my money and refuse to return it or help in any way with solving this problem.
I'm going to buy another present to my kid's teacher, and $50 is not that huge amount of money, but I think people should be warned about the scam these two corporations are running.

We went to this location 7pm 05/21/24 to buy balloons and flowers for a special event and we were told by the guy at the register that there was no one available to help us, there was only two people working and they were both busy with customers checking out. If I wanted I could ask the produce guy if he could help us. I literally saw an older man sitting in the front of the registers not doing anything , another guy wiping down the the registers, another man just standing there and yet no one was available to help us with a service this store provides. What kind of service is this??? This is actually the 2nd time this has happened... Absolutely poor customer service. If the flower department is closed after specific time then post it so everyone knows. Don't offer a service and then not do it when needed. The bakery had no one to put a name on a cake either yet there were two people behind the counter. Post times when available if this is the case.

Writing another review because of the way we were treated. The employees here are insane we had not stole anything but a lady was behind my car taking photos of my license plate when I got out to to see what's going on she was yelling at me saying we stole something being super disrespectful I took our bag inside and the receipt and was telling her to get her manager because we had not stole a thing and never would i told them there's cameras why don't you pull it up and show me I have ebt so it wouldn't make any sense to steal she cussed me and ran away when she figured out she messed up there was a teen girl that works there she saw us checkout and pay but chose to say nothing when I told her to tell them she saw us pay and checkout anyways the manager came and apologized but that's no way to treat a customer that has been going there for 5 years. And she doesn't even get payed enough to do all that

Heavy set old guy in the front told me to exchange my defected bottle of wine (crumbled cork) for in store credit
Had to wait in line to be told I can only get an alcoholic beverage as an exchange. I didn't want alcoholic but was forced. Heavy set fella made me get back in line and wait again

The store is clean and, in general, the prices are reasonable. I have found some employees to be courteous and helpful but others not so much. The area most in need of improvement is the deli. Too often I have waited (first in line or the only customer waiting) "way too long" as deli workers glanced at me then passed by busy with other tasks. On my last visit, waiting and waiting to be helped with a sliced turkey and roast beef order, I finally left deciding to make my purchase at another store. I have shopped here 2 or three times a month primarily because it is close to my house. Recently I have begun to think that driving to another store, would be a more enjoyable experience.

I used to go to Ralphs for my grocery shopping but recently their staff has a bad attitude, so I’d rather go to newly established groceries in my neighborhood which respects customers more.

Went to this Ralph's last night to pick up some Shrimp amongst other things at 8 pm only to find the deli closed and it looks to have been closed for a while! If the stores opened it should be opened!
