If you have any other option do not use Cox. Beware - they call you to offer upgraded service without disclosing that you are locked into a contract. I moved out of the area and they charged $180 to end the “contract” I was never told I agreed to. Unfair business practices.
And their customer service while I was a customer was truly terrible. It’s almost impossible to speak to someone who could assist or even understand my question. Try Verizon internet instead. Much less expensive with functional customer service.

The worst company to deal with. Their service is awful, the internet and cable are frequently going out. This happens at both my business and residence and not just a single residence but everyone I’ve lived at. Why don’t you switch providers then duh??? Well I can’t because of cox having a freaking monopoly. When calling cox it’s always a bot, which is rarely helpful. I’d recommend any other company over cox if given the chance.
3 weeks later I would just like to reiterate my dissatisfaction with cox, service out again for WiFi. If I can switch providers and a heartbeat, I would!!!!!

I really hate to write reviews, but today I have to. I wasn’t satisfied last two months service, always on and off internet, so annoying, so many times called technician support, one pick up from other side of the earth. Didn’t do anything. So I closed internet July 1st, and moved others service the same day, then I requested from guy who at office, take whatever I owe you, he took my id and card, after confirming sth from his tablet, he said everything done. But end of the month I got mail, for late payment +$25, I was shocked. Why they didn’t charge whatever I owe them when I closed internet. Try to rob own leaving customer, lost their reputation.
I paid today what I owe them which supposed to be charged July 1st. ( they didn’t do it with purpose , even they had my credit information).
Crucial Late payment excuse not my fault.

Edit - I was able to quickly resolve my issue by visiting the cox store in person.
Apparently the text support service is outsourced to a third party, and the communication from the agent on the text support was unclear and confusing.
Best option is to call the store directly or visit in person.

I just got my WiFi from this store.
2 gentlemen helped me in the beginning and then Matthew helped in answering all my questions. The bros were all chill, down to earth and straight to the point with what needed to be input in the system and the info they needed to check in regards of my home location.
I appreciate the experience. Thanks again Matthew. I highly recommend doing business with this company and crew. Cheers & blessings.

Came here to return something. The store is clean, and the staff are professional and courteous. I have some big complaints with Cox and its internet service, but this store seems pleasant.

Cox is the worst! Customer support told us to swap our modem. Apparently this was necessary to open websites blocking our IP address. This doesn't make sense to me as a tech affine person, but we went anyways. At the store they tried to sell us on buying or renting a new modem and not replacing our ols one. Such a waste of time! As soon we find a suitable alternative, we will switch and never go back to Cox.
