This bank is great if you enjoy archaic procedures, zero forms of technology, lots of unreasonable fees ( partly cause they don't have any new technology). They make you feel like it's all your fault but in reality this is an old man's bank. They have the capabilities and "know how" of the bank from Beverly Hill billies old tv show. I think I even saw the same banker still working...here. Guy must be 80 yrs old, worked at the old branch I would go to in Laguna Niguel. Anyhow; this bank will be happy to take your money and charge you for it. Any bank is better for a small business than this place. Never again.

I can not think of enough bad comments to make about this bank. Their practice of "stacking" debits to accounts, i.e. debit largest amount first which may overdraw an account, then finally debit multiple smaller debits for the individual transactions to "stack" the overdraft fees, is not only unethical, it is quite possibly illegal. Their customer service is disgraceful and downright rude. I pulled all of my personal and business accounts out of this bank and would not recommend it to anyone. I truly miss American Security Bank, the previous owners.

This is a nice small bank.Bank personell is friendly.But their online banking service is just awful.I have been their customer for 21 years(including the previous ownership)Periodically they perform online service updates and after this service it is very hard to get my online account service back.Also customer phone and email service is awful.Hold-times for phone calls take literally 30 minutes.Recent emails remained unanswered. If I did not have a number of direct deposits and withdrawals,I would have switched banks long ago.

Smaller banks are better in almost every respect. I won't do business with the megabanks, especially Chase. I like being known and respected when I walk into a bank. Not a place to earn interest, however. You have to go to online savings accounts for that.

This branch is ridiculous. I come here all the time to cash my check without an account here with no problem. Today I went to cash my check and the teller told me that my signature on my license wasn't exact to the signature on the back of my check. She then has to call the main office to get it approved to make sure my check isn't fraud and I sat there for an hour waiting when it usually takes me 10 minutes max. good think i don't have an account with them!!!

I understand the bad reviews. When the bank changed ownership there were quite a few irritating bugs that had to be worked out. I had many of my own personal frustrations. Now that the bugs have been worked out the service here is wonderful. I prefer banking with a smaller bank rather than a giant corporate one. They know you by name when you walk in the door. Their fraud department is on top of it and personally calls you or shuts off your card if there are any questionable transactions. I have had my card stolen and was refunded the fraudulent charges without a lot of hassle. There have been serval occasions when my family has needed last minute services and they have gone above and beyond to accommodate us. When you call them you speak with a person not an automated service. My only complaint would be their business hours. If your card flagged for fraud on a weekend your out of luck until Monday.
