It was my first time going to CitiBank. I opened an account with them today and I just have to say how wonderful the customer service was and how easy it was. The beautiful Hiba welcomed me and got me the help I needed right away. Just wanted to say how charismatic and attentive she was with every customer I saw her interact with. Osmar answered my every question and made me feel comfortable opening an account with them. He helped me set up my temporary debit card and even helped me set up my mobile account. Going in I was uncertain because of the reviews I had seen, but nothing to do with the service I actually received. Overall fantastic! I am glad I decided to go with CitiBank. Will be updating this comment depending on how my experience goes.

We live nearby and I’ve opened up a banking relationship here. No complaints at all and it’s been a long time since most of these other reviews. The staff are polite and helpful and it’s a very clean and professionally kept business. I also love Citibank because it’s global and has no ATM fees abroad.

The Citibank in Laguna Niguel has been my home bank for about 27 years. I find everyone helpful and very professional. All the Tellers know me by name and I don't even go in monthly. I am never rushed. I am actually shocked to read some of the poor reviews because it is as if we have " eaten at different restaurants" . I called once almost at closing on a Friday when I lost my wallet with credit cards and cash, I had no numbers to call the individual credit card companies and I felt helpless. Lori, the bank manager handled the entire issue for me, all from me making one phone call to her. Yes, during COVID this branch was closed down, but that was a corporate decision. Later the branch opened and all is good. Thank you Laguna Niguel Citibank for always being there for me

I FEEL CHEATED!!! received an invitation to open a checking account which promised frequent flyer points as an incentive. There were hoops you had to go through such as bringing in your original SS card, and you had to deposit $30,000. Then you had to leave the money in for at least 3 months and use the account via check books or debit card . I honestly can't remember if it was made clear me that I had to use debit card , but I do remember being told that by writing checks ,it would be noted that I was utilizing the account, so that's what I did. After 4months , i didn't receive any miles, so I started inquiring . That when the "run around "also began. I went to the branch and sat with the person that opened the account . Together we called their "help" line . What an embarrassment . The help line guy was speaking non-stop gibberish! IE: the miles were in my account(wrong), the miles were on my credit card(wrong again, the don't put frequent flyer miles on credit cards!) This went on to the point where the Citi employee I was sitting with asked if we could speak to someone else and then in frustration , hung up on their fellow employee. So, the branch initiated an inquiry with the" back office" . That went on for 5 WEEKS! Finally after all the hoops,hassles and BS, I was notified that because I hadn't used the debit card ,I didn't qualify for the miles!! Period! So after 5-6 months , after depositing $30,000, after writing numerous checks from the account,after searching for my original SS card, I received NOTHING! I was not offered a chance to fix anything, nobody thanked me for attempting to comply to thanked me for my business . Needless to say I closed the account. I've heard from several people that they also thought Citi was hard to deal with(employees at Costco) , and it is TRUE. Once again I feel CHEATED!!

Lori the Branch Manager is an absolute dream. She always greets me (and my service dog Taj) with a warm welcome and a snack, which she keeps handy at her desk. Just yesterday I arrived just before closing time and she let us in and helped me with a tricky situation. The tellers at this branch are the best as well. Feels like family.

The tellers are ok Horrible branch manager who will not even acknowledge or greet customers The process of opening a bank account here was painful and it took them a month to credit a large check and their excuse was that check was suspicious They made me feel like I was doing something illegal

I agree with the majority of reviewers. This place has the WORST customer service. It's a shame because it's not the whole branch. Mostly the manager as noted; Laurie and the Asian lady. They look at the customer's with suspicion and make incredibly stupid comments. Other than that, nothing that hasn't already been said.

Just want to thank Lori the branch manager for being kind and patient with my 92 year old mom. She is a real sweetheart. The staff is always friendly and fast. Short lines easy parking sweet tellers

This branch has the worst service ever. I have never dealt with a branch manager that has customer service skills like Laurie at this branch. She never calls you back. She doesn't follow up. She should not be a branch manager. If you like Citibank go to the location on Aliso Creek near Whole Foods. The branch manager there is stellar. Her name is Rajinder and she took care of an issue I had quickly and with great results. This was after waiting for Laurie to take care of it for six months and I always had to call her. She is never there when you stop in. Citibank should send a secret shopper there to see her attitude.

Receptionists are nice. But the branch manager is awful. She made a mistake and my account was almost closed. I had to go through a lot of troubles to fix her mistake. I have received no apologies from her and surprisingly she is still a branch manager. I have a doubt in Citi Bank at this point. I might change bank in the future.

Outstanding bank, with outstanding employees, lived in the area for years, and this branch is the BEST bank I've ever dealt with!
