I paid a large amount of money to Alex for some undercarriage skid plates on May 12th 2023 for my Jeep JKU. I found him via social media marketplace. Promised me it would be 2 weeks to come in and I could get them installed in one day. 2 weeks went by and he told me they still hadn't came in. A few weeks after that I asked again and said he was sick and wasn't able to check until the following week. Waited another week and was told they still weren't in. I contacted the manufacture directly to ask them how long it would take to get them if I ordered them that day. The answer was 2 weeks. I then started getting suspicious. So I was going on vacation and decided to just wait a little longer. Another 2 weeks went by and then was told that the parts finally arrived but they were mixed up and for a JLU instead of a JKU. So I called the manufacture and proposed that happened and they said they would ship them overnight for the mistake. So I called him back and he told me he cut his finger really bad and was out of the office and not able to check. Finally I just decided to look at Yelp and found this page and realized that this is the same issue everyone else is having with delays, and basically robbing peter to pay paul type scenario. I'm very disappointed because it wasn't a difficult transaction and shouldn't have been this way. I finally had to do a claim on Venmo to get my money back which finally happened. I urge everyone to not pay for things until they go get them installed or pick them up.

Alexis Caravallo scams people, he is a cheater, Rip-off he gets the money in advance (Full amount) and never gets the job done. We paid him $18,000 to fix our car and has been sitting in his shop for over 2 years and it is still not even close on being done, he keeps promising he will have it done in 3 weeks every time we talk to him and when the time comes, he has the lamest excuse ever. DO NOT TRUST this business, he has no ethics whatsoever and has a very bad reputation! We will take legal action to solve this. Do not make the same mistake.

The worst experience i have ever had, the owner Alexis Caravallo has no business ethics and can care less about his clients, we paid the bill in full trusting he will fix our car and its been over 2 years today and he has done nothing to it. He created a lot of stress and anxiety to both my husband and I because we where saving this money to fix the car and make it nice for such a long time. I wish i read the reviews before giving him $18,000. Do not trust him!!!!!! We are now going to take legal action.

Yelp has rarely let me down. The negative comments on here are true. Don't give him your money or you will not hear from Alex for months. He finally put the lift in my Jeep just to find out he put the lift kit on backwards on the rear lol. I'm lucky I didn't crash and get seriously hurt. Just recently also noticed he put the sway bar links on wrong for each side. WTH. Alex is a nice guy but don't give him any money until your items are put on your car and even then make sure they are placed on correct. You have been warned.

American Overland Expedition? No... More like, "American Overscam Expedition!!" This guy Alex doesn't know what he's doing... I had him install front and rear suspension and he ended up damaging my frame by drilling into the side walls. He has all my wires exposed in the wheel wells... I'm just so disappointed. Overpaid for a s hitty job... I made the mistake by not investigating if he has the license to actually work on vehicles. Especially for off roading! I would NEVER RECOMMEND THIS shop or especially Alex Carvallo.

I should have read the reviews thoroughly before landing in this place. All what the 1 star reviews say is true. Be careful with this guy Alexis. Once he has your money, he does what ever he wants with your truck. His attention to detail is terrible. He praises his work is of spectacular quality, but it is not. Not sure how he is still in business.

I went to AOE to get my 2017 Tacoma regeared. I had the pleasure of working with Alex, who overall was very enjoyable to work with. Always answering phone calls, being very knowledgeable and very honest made the whole process very easy. They do a wide variety of things here that should cover all your off-roading needs. I will definitely be coming back! Thanks again!

Alex was incredible to work with. We have a Lexus GX 470 that we Wanted to add suspension for our off-road adventures and hunting trips. We started working with a different business originally but after poor communication and less than ideal customer service we started looking for a new shop to work with. That is when we found Alex and AOE! We highly recommend them and will be back for more custom work on the vehicle! We have already taken it out for some test runs and off-road excursions with great results!

AOE did a good job on my front and rear bumper for the 80 series I had them put a triple receiver in the rear bumper for my motorcycle rack and they custom modified the Jerry can holder to work with my older gas cans I’m happy how it came out but the rear bumper did take a long time to finish.

Got new gears installed here on my 2016 F150, the owner Robert was a solid dude , they did great work and constantly kept me updated and his pricing was great, Highly Recommended

I should have done more research! Alex ripped me off for $900 for a front bumper for my Landcruiser. Long story short, I contacted him by phone in November, '19, to inquire about a bumper. He told me he just finished a group buy on them and had one left sitting on the shop floor that he could ship immediately. Hwe would only accept payment via Venmo, which should have been my first warning. He sent an invoice and I paid. Estimated delivery date came and went - nothing. Called several times and finally got a hold of him. He said the shipping company picked it up and he would get me the tracking info - nothing. Go a hold of him again after a couple of weeks and got a long story of him having to go back to Venezuela to take care of his mother and he just got back in country. He promised to track it down. That is the last time I have been able to get a hold of him. I've left numerous messages - nothing. AOE is a ripoff and Alex Carvello is a THIEF!

I'm really happy with my rig. It looks amazing. My only complaints are that my alignment was supposed to be done and wasn't, and my tires scrape my bumper. The bumper was cut and it still scrapes when I reverse and turn. I told Alex about this and they tried to remedy it by cutting the bumper more, but it now flaps in the wind on the highway. I plan to replace the bumper with an AOE fabricated bumper, their fabrications are where it's at. I love my rock sliders, look great and feel solid. Alex also offered to fix the alignment upon my next visit so that's cool. I had heard mixed reviews about AOE and got spooked at first, but Alex assured me he would get the job done and did. I am happy I didn't pull the plug on my build, and I look forward to working with Alex on the next phases of my rig's transformation.

This is a top of the line business. They care about the customer and do whatever it is they need to do to make you happy and keep promises they made. After being quoted extremely high at REBEL, I looked for another local shop and found American Overland Expeditions . I walked in and met Alex and his team they found me exactly what I wanted and gave me a reasonable quote which was substantially less than Rebel
