First I want to point out that the Tides does not put bogus add on charges for parking or resort fees. When comparing prices you will find other properties are almost double after fees.
The Tides looks great. Everything is taken care of. The grounds are perfect. The pool area looks great.
Check in was very easy. The desk clerk was very nice.
The room was clean and modern. The bed was perfect.
We have found our new Laguna spot.

Stayed here for a few nights. The staff was so kind and had great recommendations ready! The rooms were clean and felt like staying in someone’s guest room, in the best way. Everything is within walking distance- beach, coffee, restaurants! Highly recommended staying here if you’re in search of a great place to rest your head!

Quaint little place, close to the beach. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Would most definitely stay here again. Warm salt water pool is amazing and close to restaurants and beach. Free trolley stop nearby to take you further into town.

Stayed many times over the years at The Tides Inn. Every time had exceptional service. Love it there.

We were very excited to stay here since the photos online looked amazing. What we didn’t see online is the tiny room WITHOUT a window or any daylight and a weird smell. We had to keep the door open to get some air flow, but with that came the dog smell from the people above (we love dogs don yet me wrong)
The bed was comfy but very shaky.
Sadly won’t come back

The boss is warm and friendly, the house is warmly decorated, clean and tidy, and the location is excellent. It has its own heated swimming pool and parking space. It’s my favorite hotel I stayed at along the way and my first choice when visiting Laguna Beach.
Rooms: Clean, tidy, warm and comfortable
Walkability: Just cross the road and you'll get to the beach.

Very nice place. Rooms are really nice. Decent location. Fairly close to bars and restaurants. I walked everywhere I went. Staff was nice also. Highly recommend. Decent price compared to all other hotels in Laguna
