Been here twice and have a reservation for Ohana Fest weekend in September 2023. Sal is very kind and has the rooms smelling like bleach so you know they're clean! Just take some air freshener to help a little. Love this place and the trail that leads to Crescent Bay!

Yes, everything was great. Rooms were very clean, nice comfy bed, shower was awesome. The beach was a very quick walk, and the scenery was nice. Thanks to Sal, he was welcoming, and friendly.

Loved this hotel. Affordable, super close to one of the best beaches in Laguna Beach and friendly staff. The room was very clean

The location, friendly staff, and comfortable beds made this location perfect for our family of 5. We also really enjoyed the shower which had a nice waterfall type shower head. It is only a few minute walk to the nicest beach! We saw starfish, little tide pools, lots of shells, and it was just so very beautiful. The only con is no breakfast and if you don’t have a vehicle expect to walk at least 10 minutes for anything. I walked to grocery store and bought enough things for breakfast. There is a few nice tables set below the rooms outside to eat at, which we did regularly. There is also a trolley that goes fairly close to the location.I would definitely recommend. It isn’t fancy per day, but the price was very good and we felt it was clean and I can personally say the owner is an invested and caring man.

They say it's a two star. In my experience, it's clean and well kept up, if not a tad worn at the edges.Sal at the front desk is awesome. Lots of tips and advice. Super nice. And it is only a few minutes to beautiful Crescent Bay.Unlimited coffee and water and tea and beach towels.I never go to Laguna to stay in the room. So if you are looking for something clean and well kept and not over the top expensive, this is a great choice.

Crescent Bay Inn in Laguna Beach exceeded my expectations with its comfortable rooms, excellent amenities, and fantastic location. The front desk host, Sapna, was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure that everything during my stay was great. The hotel's modern beachy vibe, spacious and clean rooms, and perfect location close to the beach and local attractions made my stay unforgettable. I highly recommend Crescent Bay Inn and a big thanks to Sapna for her outstanding customer service.

Overall, I was pretty disappointed in this hotel. My biggest frustration was road noise. Despite requesting a quiet room, and the hotel didn’t appear close to full, I was put in one of the four rooms directly on the highway, and was able to hear road noise almost constantly. The location was mixed - at the far north end of town. While great beaches were close, there were only a few restaurants and shops within a 15 minute walk - most were further south. I was also very annoyed when at checkout I was charged a “$4 utility” charge per day that was not on the original reservation - it felt like I was being ripped off (though it was easy to get it refunded.) Parking was mixed - while most other hotels nearby charge for parking, and this was free, spaces were a bit tight, and there was a big dip at the edge of the street and driveway which meant you had to enter the driveway slowly - while crossing two lanes of highway traffic. The room had a few small things wrong with it - a clearly missing painting, a privacy curtain missing, and a broken USB port on the rusting lamps (which meant my phone didn’t charge.) Most of these things were fairly minor (except the road noise) but the combination is too much, and I wouldn’t stay here again.

I was here 4 years ago with girlfriends and I thought it was a nice place but the front desk person was not friendly.Forward 4 years later, my experience have been different. The front desk manager, Sal, has been super friendly and accommodating. He's been very thoughtful and suggested different things we could do while in town. The upgrades of the room is a great addition. Room is clean and smells pleasant when you walk in. I appreciated our time here.

Crescent Bay was comfortable & quiet, and the office staff people were helpful & polite. There was a nice view of the ocean from the last row of rooms, but a bit far down to the ocean for us in our mid 70's, so we didn't trek down there.

3 minute walk to the beach! The staff were amazing! Friendly and very helpful to offer suggestions for activities and restaurants. The rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable. Downtown within walking distance or they are right on the free trolley line if you prefer to ride. They also have chairs, towels, and toys for the beach fun. We'll definitely stay here again!

We are cycling down the California coast and staying in a different hotel/motel every night along our route. The Crescent Bay Inn was one of our favorite places to stay! The room was spacious, clean and obviously recently updated. Everything in the room worked perfectly (although we didn’t turn on the TV), the bathroom is nicely appointed and the management was super friendly and helpful. Our room faced away from the main road and that’s probably why it was very quiet and peaceful. It was only a short walk to a lovely little park above the beach to watch the sunset. Highly recommended!

Icky and uncomfortable. I stayed here years ago when it was very old but it was still clean and in good repair. The place has an unsettling odor as if the only cleaning product being used is ammonia. This does not remove the soap scum from the shower floor or clean the shower curtain which has probably never been changed out since they installed it. The towels are child- sized and not exactly new. There was no hair conditioner, no hangers and there was no housekeeping. One of the things about any beach property is that it's necessary to replace anything that gets oxidized from the salt air. Additionally there is the risk of roaches so the place should be able to be sealed well, not have a large gap at the front door. We were very dissatisfied with the PCH sidewalk location with heavy traffic. There is basically no difference between sleeping on the street or in the room in terms of noise. Horrible!

I stayed for one night at this hotel, and I will never return. I had a room just a few feet away from heavy traffic on Pacific Hwy. The loud traffic noise started at 6:30 in the morning. I had not realized the problem when I checked in the previous afternoon. I would have assumed that a room this close to a major highway would have double-paned glass. The price of the room was $226.00, about double what it was worth.
