Best mechanic! Honest and fair prices. They get the work done as quickly as possible: we have a not so-old truck that had some issues - we were thinking of buying another truck but Marcel said he could fix it and he did just that AND he showed me the problem without me asking (he knows I’m super curious and an avid researcher about everything engine related). He also gave us options for fixing or replacing transmission- he lays it all out for you so you know what he’s doing and why, and how much it will cost and why!
And even more helpful if you’re on a tight budget, Marcel let’s you know what needs to be done and what can wait.
Jennifer is friendly and super knowledgeable which really helps expedite the whole experience. Dana keeps everyone in line - sweetest dog ever!
We are so happy to have our truck running well again! I highly recommend Barnhoorn Automotive for all car repairs!

I scheduled what I thought was going to be a tune-up and got what was a very expensive oil change. When I asked Jennifer about only getting an oil and filter, she said you only requested a tune-up. I said if I wanted an oil change and filter I would have asked for it.My total charges for this "tuneup" came to$317.00. This is OUTRAGEOUS!I do not recommend Barnhoorn Automotive. This is a TOTAL rip-off!

Awful owner. Bought used car and previous owner I bought car from got a 02 sensor put in from this socalled "automotive mechanic shop". I called after check engine light came on and told them about the 02 sensor showing up as the same code they supposedly "fixed". The lady on the phone didn't like that I questioned their work when I told them about the sensor. I just wanted them to check to make sure it was the correct sensor and to see if everything is OK. Showed up first thing in the morning and the owner didn't want to do business because "I didn't like his 02 sensor". Just asked to see if they can double check everything. Owner said I can leave the car there all day and they will get to it when they get to it. The garage only had 1 car being worked on at the time. I was on a time crunch and said I couldn't do that. He gave me a refund for their 02 sensor. Took the car to my mechanic and have them check it out. Ended up being a crack manifold near the sensor, on top of the wrong sensor they put in. Seems like they don't do a thorough job on their "diagnostic" considering my mechanic found the issue right away on top of the wrong sensor they put in. Owner said have fun paying $600 for a OEM sensor. I paid $95 for the CORRECT sensor. Manifold was an easy fix luckily. I'm glad I didn't let them work on my car. Don't let them take advantage of you. And yes I'm a real person. I don't do yelp reviews but needed to for this joke of a shop.

Ordered Interstate MTP-75 battery with a quote of $172.95Was given an MT-75 battery of lesser quality for $$170.15.Was told it was the same quality by Jennifer.I looked it up on the internet when I got home. It is lower quality.Will not be going back.Buyer beware. Not coolService: Auto battery replacement
