“The bad reviews worried me but at least in my experience today it was totally fine. Rang the doorbell, lady came out quickly, I explained my issue with my package not being delivered to my home, she found it and gave it to me. Easy as that.”

“Small, community post office. We've always had great service. Lines can get long around the holidays, like most post office stations, but the team tries their best. We know the work can often be thankless, so kindly ask what you need, but be thoughtful and caring with your local USPS employee.”

“Shout out to YVETTE! I normally dread going to the post office, but she made my experience so special. She has wonderful, personalized service, a constant smile and works with the customers to ensure they’re getting the best price possible. Goldstar employee!”

“Never thought I’d write a positive review for a post office, but I left feeling incredibly impressed at the service I received here. I came in with a large box that was probably 50% full. Seeing how high the shipping cost was, he helped me find a smaller box and hacked it so my items fit perfectly into the box, saving me $50. I can’t believe he took the time to help me, going above and beyond when he did not have to. Thank you Freddy!”

“A much smaller post office with only one worker in the front but you'll get the customer experience that is severely lacking at all the other nearby post offices. The postal worker today was amazing. She was very nice - explained everything with detail and patience when I had questions. This office is a little more out-of-the-way for me, but I'll be using it regularly.”

“Ramon rocks and is the glue that holds this post office together. Not sure what we'll all do when he retires. But, I wish him the best of luck when he does and thank him for all of his helpful service over the years.”

“I have always gotten useful help from the staff here even during the hectic holiday season, there was a line that moved quickly and they handled even the most random questions. Useful to ensure we support this service.”

“I have come to this location for over 2 decades. I have always received friendly service from postal workers at this and most USPS locations for that matter. Dealing with the public can be challenging and I’m sure a postal worker at some point has had a rough day. So have I.”

“This is a great post office! It's unfortunate that their reviews don't reflect it.The staff is always incredibly helpful. And they have a lot of patience in dealing with helping people with their packaging. I've never seen a look of contempt from any of them. In fact the opposite. 5 Huge ? ? ? ? ?”

“I love this post office. The sistah that works in the far corner is so incredibly helpful and proficient at her job. She is so on it, that I usually leave feeling better than I walked in because she makes the experience so pleasant and clear. If it weren't for parking I would use this post office exclusively. I will say that the USPS should update the equipment. Some of the machines seem like they haven't been updated since before Regan was president.”

“I always find the people in the Walnut Creek Post Office to be friendly, hardworking and helpful. Parking is easy and free. There can be lines but it’s not the fault of the employees.”

“I’ve read the reviews but my personal experience was different. This location is pretty convenient and the lady that helped me out was really helpful, kind and efficient.
Their system was down for about 5-10 minutes but the way she helped me made me feel comfortable. There are times that it upsets me to wait for “x y” reason but she was so nice, I wasn’t annoyed for the wait time or that I had to pay with cash”

“Amazing amazing passport service. Ali helped us with our children’s passports. Checked every single thing very clearly and even helped correct mistakes. We got the passports in less than 2 weeks! I am so impressed with the level of care!”

“Passports! I had to get passport renewals for minors, and that can only be done in person. It was impossible to get an appointment anywhere, but they do walk-in passport applications here!!!

Here is what I learned and my pro tips:
-walk-in appointments MWF 9-10am ONLY
-They only take the first 20 people… (I don’t know if that’s actually just the first 20 passport, but I don’t think it’s groups)
-If you’re number 21, you’re gonna have to come back another day
-If you wanna make sure you are in that first 20, you need to get your rear end there *** early*** (the line was about 30 people along by 8:30 AM today)
-don’t think that you can show up at 9 AM and be fine, at least not at this time of year
-Come with everything already completed
-Use black ink only
-Better yet fill out your application online and print it out
-Don’t worry about passport pictures, they take them there and charge $15
-They take check or debit card for passports. No credit cards.
-They’re strict and very busy, so bring your patience, be polite and be humble to their process
-if you are eligible to renew by mail, just do it and save yourself the hassle

The lady that helped me was very down to business, but awesome! I think this post office is great, they’re all nice and helpful.”

“This is a hidden gem, which includes a parking lot. Wish I knew that before I found street parking, but they only had a tiny parking lot for 2 automobiles. Still good to know for the future reference. I came right before lunch and got lucky that only 1 customer was in line. The employee was nice enough to guide me on which form to fill out, because I was sending stuff to Switzerland. She helped me pick the best price for me, and process was quick.”

“Went to the post office to ship a package and mail some letters. I arrived a little after 11:30 and the line was out the door. It took about 15 minutes before I was served. Maybe 10-10:30 is the golden hour. It would be nice if there was a dedicated parking lot, but I have a feeling the majority of patrons are walk-ups. I appreciate their constant cleanliness, knowledgeable employees, and their constant stock of domestic and international stamps.”

“Really no issues at all. Despite being a small location, hidden amongst the buzz of Durant Street, the service was good and quick and to the point. Will come back!”

“Thank you David for having a smooth transaction with you. I ask an envelope and without hesitation you gave me one and you explained the normal envelope and the priority one. You're kind to me and you have patience of answering all my questions.

Thank you for helping me.”

“They don't answer the phone because they don't have one here unfortunately, they have really long lines, and the only good thing about this office is they are helpful and are nearby where I live so I can send packages”

2.2 Poor43 Reviews

“I give this post office 3 stars because they are less than average in niceness, the floors are not very clean because the janitors are lazy and make zero efforts to pick up the trash that patrons leave on the floor when discarding their open envelopes that they stand around opening the bills. The bills seem to get taken without questioning why theyr aren't suppose to litter the floors with the envelopes. maybe the patrons are slobs in their own homes. who knows?”

“I went to the post office several times over the holiday and each time it was a good experience. They were well staffed and the line moved fast. The postal employees were so nice and helpful.”

2.3 Poor139 Reviews

“This post office is located on MacArthur Boulevard down the street from where I live. They normally have two to three workers at one time and I haven't had too many problems coming here to buy money orders and stamps. Lunch is from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. so normally there's one person working at this time.”

“Just visited today to mail 2 large boxes. Not sure why there are bad reviews here. I was treated with respect, got helpful service with a smile from one of my Black kings ?? and was in and out in 10 minutes. They also have parking! I was there around 2:30pm. No line.”
