“I love this place, from the deli/meats, hot foods, fruits & vegetables, and all other grocery options of unique and common items. I love walking through the store, a smaller store, but it feels great walking the aisles and window shopping. Cashiers are always friendly, and usually pleasant to converse with. The only issue for me is sometimes the price of common items may be more than a chain market, but I select smartly.”

“They have so many different types of meats from so many types of animals. It's pretty incredible. From baby octopus to squab, to quail, venison, Bison, chicken, Shrimp, lamb, goat, lobster tail, ox tail and many types of poultry that I've never heard of. Really nicely dressed in butcher's white coat, and I didn't feel rushed. They take courteous time to make sure they've helped you to your satisfaction. I know where to go to get great service and to find unique pieces of meats.”

“Honey baked hams are always perfect. However strongly recommend setting up an appointment to pick up. Over the Holidays there is a line likely 40+ people deep snaking back and forth inside (like rides at Disneyland), out the door and around the front of the building. Those with pre-existing orders to pickup are directed to the "preorder" line with hardly anyone. In and out under 4 minutes.”

“First entering the store you're welcomed with good music unlike other produce markets spots in the location. Music definitely had me wanting to just stay there and enjoy it. Following that were the veggies/ fruit, meat and packaged goods organized in their own separate aisles and sections. First time being I there had to do a lap to get accustomed to the layout. After that I was moving throughout the aisles and even going back to already seen aisles just to take another look and what else I could grab. From asking for help and getting some chicken and carnitas the members were very involved and very welcoming. From the meat department to check out, all store members were happy to help out. The welcoming customer service and the comfort of not feeling like an outsider compared to other stores I've been to around Fruitvale. When I'm back in town this will definitely be the store to come to when I'm in need of something quick to eat or ingredients for the week. Will be back.”

“Cute grocery section with a decent number of uncommon items. It seemed strange to me that the meat section was so sparse. Service was quick but not terribly friendly - they hung up on me after answering my very brief question without so much as a bye, meat counter service was a bit awkward, check out was clearly not having a great day. And that was just this one visit. Sandwiches are now $18 a piece. Still delicious but still premade so the tomatoes were going a bit soggy, and only three available a day from 11-3. No Soprano on the week's menu... in fact almost the same three every day. I'm glad I went but I'll be going to Lunardi's for my big expensive sandwiches from now on.”

“Excellent meat and poultry products from sustainable farms where animals are pasture-raised and treated humanely. In an ideal world. I’d be a vegan; in the real world, I am not and am grateful to Marin Farms for providing best-care animal practices.”

“I purchased some of their spicy beef hot links for an office bbq. Everyone loved them so much they gave me money to go back and purchase some more so they could take home and share with their family. You can find their products at some Safeways and Pack Save. Great stuff made fresh weekly. I try to support local business and their product is far superior to that mass produced stuff at Safeway, Lucky and Nob Hill.”
