Derrick Okubo tutored me in pre-calculus about 5 months and vastly improved my grade. He truly taught me math skills that I will use in future courses and for the rest of my life. I highly recommend using Derrick.

This review is about Yoni Cooperman AP Environmental Sciences. He's an expert in the subject matter and has the unique ability to inspire high schoolers in the topic. Yoni provides guidance to kids in choosing ES as a major in college as a responsible major with a lucrative career. He is an excellent mentor and is able to keep the sustained interest of kids during his sessions. One of the best tutors for Env Sciences.

My 15-year-old daughter who is taking AP Chem has this to say about AJ Tutoring's Kaitlin Duffey: Kaitlin Duffey is very clear and concise. She's very patient when I ask questions and she knows how to go ahead and predict what we can do next so that I can be prepared for class. She has helped me to understand chemistry a lot better.

I owe a huge thanks to AJ tutoring over the past years. I had 3 children work with them - and AJT customized their approach for each one. We used Ryan Pelky, who was adaptable and supportive when needed, but also was firm on expectations and pushed them to be their best. I used AJT for SAT and ACT prep. Our results were well worth the investment. For EVERY child, from start to finish, their scores (after 30-50 hrs of tutoring) increased 200+ points each, from pretty decent 1200s to high 1400s/1500s. It completely changed the caliber of schools they applied, improved their self-confidence and test taking composure, and even leaked over into their high school math and science grades. My son Jake was tutored by Xavier Gacula for his SAT prep. He worked with Xavier during Summer 2023 and into the Fall. During this time he did 10 private sessions with Xavier, and 4 practice tests. Jake felt that Xavier did an excellent job in prepping him for the exam. He identified the areas where Jake needed to focus, and offered very good practical advice. Xavier also understood the content very well. During the course of the tutoring, we saw consistent and marked improvements in Jake's scores, and his results on the actual exam (taken Oct 2023) were outstanding (and his best to date). We attribute much of this success to Xavier's tutoring.From an interaction standpoint, Xavier is friendly and very responsive on email. We highly recommend Xavier & AJ Tutoring.

My Sophomore son had Derrick as his math tutor last year for Pre-calc honors. He had a teacher known for not really doing much teaching, and within about a month had a c- in the class. He started going to Derrick for just 1 hour a week and soon had his grade up to an A-. He loved Derrick's fun personality and actually looked forward to his tutoring sessions. Highly recommend Derrick and AJ Tutoring.

Bharti was so helpful throughout my junior year with AP Calc AB. She always gave detailed explanations to my questions and responded quickly to my emails regarding homework and confusing concepts I didn’t understand.
