I just love Dr. Sumter who is so kind to our crack head Odie! Odie is afraid of vets so we have to muzzle him but Dr. Sumter is always able to examine Odie with loving care! Shout out to the front desk always so helpful and kind! Best place for my scared little guy!

I have taken my dog Chase there multiple times and the staff is very welcoming and they see him right the way. I have never had to wait. The doctors and the staff are very relaxed and chill with the animals. I feel they truly care for them. My vet takes her time, I never feel rushed. Highly recommend this place. Lots of parking too :-)

Very unhappy with the service . We been going here for a long time but it went down the hill last year or so . My dog almost died cuz they didn’t do enough tests and didn’t diagnose him correctly . We even went back to them same day and asked for more tests and they still didn’t do it ! The doctor was treating him for ear infection only when he has IVDD and now another emergency vet did neck xray right away and saw a mass in the throat . How do you miss that ?? On top of that after our dog was already in ER fighting for his life they lied straight to us saying the WE denied services which we would never do! We payed almost 26 k now without even one thought to save him so why would we say no to some extra test ?! Would not go here again ! Waist of time and only made my dog worse .

Completely misdiagnosed my dog, they took extremely blurry Xray photos. Overcharged. Called me to check in on my dog and when I told them what the emergency room vet told me about all of this misdiagnosing Ladera Ranch Animal Hospital did, they were not willing to reimburse or help in any way shape or form. This vet had me crying basically saying my dog was dying with 3 different major issues (which were not even the case at all) when the day before she was literally the happiest girl in the world! I will NOT be returning nor will I EVER be recommending this vet to ANYONE. Please go elsewhere!

My cat had passed a couple of months ago unexpectedly. They diagnosed her with a mass in her stomach, I was obviously distraught and a mess. I was questioning what to do in the moment, they had explained to me that she was too old to get surgery which was understandable. We talked about euthanasia and I was very upset that that was the only option however I understood. One of the staff members had told me “How would you feel if you hadn’t eaten in 5 days” which made me feel absolutely terrible in the moment. I don’t feel that the comment was necessary in a time that was so hard for my family and I. This should never be told to a paying client, especially one who had to put her cat down in the following hour. Extremely disappointed.

Friendly staff, they all taking care of business of caring for my dog Jimmy. Very knowledgeable staff in care of animals.
Appointments are easy to make almost same day because they care.

My dog was attacked by an unleashed pitbull in Ladera and I rushed her to this animal hospital without being a client. My dog and I were both traumatized and they dropped everything and immediately took care of my dog. I am so grateful how professional and kind everyone is here and I appreciate their humility and empathy towards us. Thank you for taking care of us!
