Great place, good communication, trustworthy. I've had a serpentine belt replaced and recently had a complete brake job. The price quoted was what I paid, and the work was done properly.

After having lost my longtime, trusted VW mechanic of 30 years to retirement, I was on my own to find a new mechanic. No simple feat for most single women.My first visit one year ago went fine, but this recent visit is what will keep me coming back. A fuel line connecting to my fuel filter had a leak, so my car wouldn't start. I knew this in advance of taking my car in, thanks to a helpful, eagle-eyed AAA tow truck driver. Abel of The Engine Room assisted me. They discovered a broken clamp on the fuel line connecting to the fuel filter. They replaced the clamp and filter. An easy and inexpensive fix, and they had my car running the same day. I could have picked up my car and been on my way, but I opted to leave my car and get a quote for some other repairs I already knew it needed. I selected the most important repairs and decided to hold off on one thing for a future visit. My car was ready the second day and at a very fair and reasonable price. For the initial fuel leak issue, a dishonest mechanic could easily have taken advantage and tried to tell me it was something bigger that I needed, like a new fuel pump or something else. But they were straight and honest and have earned my trust. Abel was super helpful and pleasant to communicate with, even though I never met him in person, only by phone. When my car was ready, I wasn't able to leave work early to pick up in time before the shop closed. I asked Abel if they could drop my car off to my house (0.3 miles, literally two minutes away), and they did that for me! One more reason I was satisfied with their service. Thank you, Abel! I will be bringing my car back for future service needs.

Read the reviews and was unsure about going and I called just to get a quote for a simple 10 min job that requires the most minimal effort because they have the tools and vacuum for it and wanted to charge me $149 for a BRAKE FLUID FLUSH. Another lame place in the area

Brought my car in around 8am the other day because it kept stalling every-time I braked for too long and I had a flat tire on top of that. I felt so unsafe in my car, it made sputtering noises, stalled, and just all around gave me so much anxiety when driving because it was so unpredictable. They were quick to get the car in, and maybe about noon they gave us a call and let us know what they found out, and how much it would cost to fix it, so we went through with the repairs, and probably around 4:00pm they called us back to come get my car. REASONABLE PRICES, FRIENDLY SERVICE, AND FANTASTIC WORK. They patched my tire for me, and got the sensor that was having issues replaced, and immediately driving home in my car I already could hear and feel the difference in my car. So grateful for the service and how fast they were able to get it in finished by the end of the day. Definitely not going anywhere else for my car now.

Left my truck with them for them to look at a coolant leak in my heater core, which they had replaced previously. They had my car for a month without any communication. I had to contact them. In the end they said they couldn't find the receipt of there previously changing the heater core. And I was out of luck. I had been using then for a few years and liked doing business with them, but after their front desk guy Ryan left, they went downhill. I'm not using then again.Service: General repairs & maintenance

My car would not start and AAA service said it was the altinator and need to be towed to repair.the Engine Room was recommended by a new friend and it was close and I needed to get quick service to get o medical appointment.Ryan was so helpful took care my problem plus check car over and found it needed brakes.All repairs were done in a timely way at a very fair price.I feel so much safer now knowing my car was completely checked.Carole 84

My first time coming here and was throughly pleased with the results. My car needed a lot of work and Ryan was extremely communicative, contacting me four days in a row to discuss new info, in addition to working out the expenses through my extended warranty. My check engine light went on when I was on the freeway. I pulled over and searched for a repair shop. I saw that the Engine Room was close so I called and spoke to Abel. He assured me he could help so I proceeded slowly to drive there. With less than a mile to go, my car started to smoke and I had to stop. I called back and spoke to Abel who said he could send someone to help me. Chino arrives who was amazing! He filled my radiator with water and I was able to drive to their shop. I needed a new radiator so he said I could leave it with them for the weekend and pick it up on Monday. The service was EXCELLENT, friendly, helpful and they seriously saved me!! The price was good and though it's about 30 min away from my home, I have found myself a new auto repair shop! Highly recommend Abel and Chino!!
