Do not use the POS Car Wash service. It does not clean exterior off of a SUV Tahoe. 2nd time over 6 month period. Manager is a HOTHEAD, does not understand Golden Rule of CS: never argue with a customer. He did, repeatedly. I said this is a "promoted shell service car wash, right?" His clerk sold me Plus Car Wash ticket to wash my car. I mentioned to the clerk last time, the car wash did not wash my car adequately and I complained at that time, too. An older aged Manager argued on, rose his voice, talked over me repeatedly, badgered me out to my car, filming my vehicle, which was also very strange. I took my car's picture showing I could write my name on it on the front hood. He couldn't care less and said he would not issue another wash to rectify. Worst CS I've seen in ages.

I paid for the ultimate wash, the machine ran out of foam soap. I called the station the attendant said she'd be right out to speak to me. 9 minutes later after she never came out, I called again she then tells me that I was supposed to go inside which she never mentioned. I waited patiently for her to do as she said she would and she didn't. I asked her if she was going to refill soap. What did I need to do? She said she'd give me a voucher for a later time. I said ok, oh well I left. She asked me to come back tonight it's already 7pm. I told her I'd be by tomorrow she proceeds to say they might not give me the voucher tomorrow. Excuse me? You tell me your coming out, you left me waiting and now I might not get a replacement ! I asked for managers name. Attendant stated she cannot give me the managers name because it's personal information and she was told she couldn't release it. Wow, That is ridiculous. Get your machines stocked, your cashiers properly trained. Come on now.

I needed gas so I went to the Shell station on the corner of Adams and Hwy 111 in La Quinta. I filled up my tank which came to $43.00. I used my American Express card at the pump. I always check the receipt and it was correct. I decided to go to Walmart for supplies. When I went to check out the cashier said that my card won't go through. He tried three times and then escorted me to customer service. The cashier at the counter there tried three times as well and said it was not denied it just would not go through. So I stepped aside and called my credit card company to see what was happening. I checked my balance before I left my house and I had over $200 available credit. This made no sense to me. The representative told me that Shell Oil Company charged me $200 and that it will be put back in two to three days. He said they usually take $1 to make sure it goes through and that the card is legitimate. I did not see a charge for that amount on my receipt only the $43. I was devastated and had to max out my other card to pay for the $60 worth of supplies that I bought at Walmart. Not only was I humiliated standing there with people glaring at me standing in line for taking up so much time, but the staff at Walmart treated me like I was trying to get away with something. When I got home, I checked my balance on my other card and now I was overdrawn by $77! I did get the money credited back to my American Express card on the 3rd day, but now I owe more money to the other card! This will make my payments in January double and I will have to scrape by! What if I had an emergency and needed the funds? I was broke thanks to SHELL OIL! I called them and got a voice message so I left my name and phone number and I never heard back from them. Then I got online and went to the website and could never find a phone number with a real person. All I saw was this in not a complaint phone number. There was something stated about people being overcharged on their cards and a place to send a message. This is a crazy situation! Do not use a credit card at the Shell station! I never had a problem at any gas station like this before! I give Shell one star for the convenience of the gas station and that is all!

I made a purchase and got overcharged. The cashier was very helpful but needed the manager's approval. Manager Carlos was so unprofessional and rude. No customer service skills.

So bummed! I live here and get gas here and get my car washed here twice a week!! , the bathrooms are clean and the guy at the counter is really friendly. Today, it appears they have joined up with all the other gas stations that lie about their bathroom being "out of service" so after paying almost $6/gallon for cash and getting my cash washed in the local gas station I have been frequently and exclusively using.. they lie to my face and tell me the bathroom is out of service. I hate that I have to look for a new place to give my money to.

Never got gas here but the car wash in my opinion has always been worth the money. These guys and girls work hard in unbearable conditions. The car comes out very clean. Wash your own car like you you use to as a kid. Not only does it take forever but the next day your body will feel like you did a full body workout. Considering what it costs it's a no brainer. If you don't like this location go to the Pink Elephant on 111. Awesome and fast. Either one depending on where you are in your day.

Pricing of gas is deceptive. The cost of gas is premised on getting a car wash. It is cheaper if you get a wash, and .25 cents a gallon is added when you don't get a wash. The print on the price board is small and virtually illegible.

This gas station is horrible. The manager is rude and so is the front staff. The pumps don't work properly and you have to change pumps. The car wash doesn't give soap unless you buy the expensive wash. Even though it says foam bath on the 2 cheaper washes. I went in to complain about no soap with the $9 wash and the manager told me I have to buy the $11 or $13 wash to get soap. Ridiculous. So he gave me a coupon to come back and when I came back a couple of weeks later, the coupon didn't work. Go figure. Unfortunately I shop at Ralph's, and Shell is the only gas station to get points at or I would never ever go again.

Easy in, easy out, competitive prices for high-end gas. And you're welcome to use the clean restroom! That's the part that was pivotal probably in me writing this review--cause when you gotta go. . . Hahaha!

Very rude girl at counter. Dirty food area. She played stupid game and insisted on ID for a cigarette purchase...I’m 66 with grey hair. Not a friendly place-avoid it!!>

Today must have been my lucky day. We were just below half on the gauge, but knowing that the opportunity to find a Shell station with an express car wash would be slim, we stopped at the La Quinta Shell Station. I used my Shell CC and filled/Topped it off with 87 at $3.29/gln...with the express wash, it was just north of $31....I really needed that wash and encountered no problems. Yes, don't expect any service as the whole process of gassing up and car wash is kind of do it your self.
