My mortgage got sold to PHH. I have no problems with a mortgage transfer. But I got notice on Aug 13 when it actually happened on Aug 1. Fed law requires at least 15 days notice (according to Google).
I had a biweekly plan set up with old mortgage broker. In my notices, they told me "no further action required". Since the transfer I noticed two missed biweekly payments and I had to re-enroll which also means my loan was deferred by at least one month. It still hasn't been resolved and I haven't gotten a new date.
Furthermore, my numbers tell me I missed out on some interest savings by having to pay a regular monthly payment. I requested a credit/adjustment on this and have been declined thus far.
I'm very close to filing a complaint with the CFPB...

Good servicing for my current loan but when I contacted them for a new purchase and a HELOC, I was transferred to a loan rep that sounded like a sultry 900#. I called back and got another rep that barely spoke english and was having a tough time with the process. It would be great to speak to a rep that was professional and experienced but so far, no luck.

App is useless. Website is not user friendly. Customer service is a joke. Very hard to set up bi-weekly payments and very hard to change bank account details. I wish I had a choice in mortgage service companies.

This is the second mortgage I've had bought by PHH. They were horrible for the first mortgage and worse (if possible) for the second.
This is a chinese owned company. EVERY MONTH, I cannot log in to pay my mortgage. My username does not work. My password does not work. I spend Hours on the phone with China trying to access my account. Definitely avoid, if you can.

They keep sending me letters that my homeowners policy has lapsed. I have an impound account for taxes and insurance. They want to buy me insurance at a significantly higher cost. They will raise my house payment to be unaffordable. I told them numerous times to pay the policy, they reply you need proof of insurance. It’s back and forth. Scam!!! I need an attorney.

Terrible practices.
A lot of unethical extra practices And scamming. My mortgage was set at $1200 with my original lender. Then it was sold to p.H h after the first year p h h sent me a check for 1700$ stating that I had too much money in my escrow account and also lowered my mortgage payments to 1100$ .17 months later they say my escrow account is negative money and I owe money and increased my mortgage to 1400. They're doing everything wrong ON PURPOSE >>SCAM! I need a lawyer to get involved. They're claiming my taxes went down and that's why mortgage went down and then said my taxes doubled or crippled and that's why I have no money in my escrow account and my mortgage is going up 300$ even though I went to the county ancestors office and tax collectors office and they said that none of those irregular things took place and don't make sense. And that My taxes have only went from 2500 to annually over the past 2 years. That 1700$ in my escrow account was there for a reason and my mortgage payment of 1200$ was set at that price for a reason and none of those money's should have been tampered with. It's a set up for failure hoping I won't be able to pay >>>>SCAM

Can’t hold of anybody there. Spend 1/2 hour twice and no luck. I don’t know how they are in business.

Asked if they could pay my supplemental tax bill with my impound account. They agreed. I got notice that they were selling my mortgage, so i called to check they were still paying my supplemental tax and that it would be paid on time to avoid penalties, they told me not to worry, they were still going to pay it and if it was late it was their responsibility so they would cover the penalties. Low and behold they did not pay the bill and I had to pay penalties. I called to have them send me a check for the penalties and they told me they were not responsible. Beware of this trash mortgage company and don't trust a word they say.

My Mortgage got sold to PHH. They are constantly sending Mail saying my mortgage is increasing by X amount. If you research PHH they have a class action lawsuit against them for illegal fees/increases. Avoid this lender.

This company is a total disaster. We have them as a mort company. They have been overcharging us for property tax. They have been acknowledging they had overcharged us for over 6 months. They owe us thousands of our money. We have filed a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Feds. Run from them. Fast as you can!!!
