The immature staff in the grooming section of the LaQuinta California Petco are very disrespectful. As a veteran, I’ve learn not to expect much from people, but to be disrespected the way these kids did, they don’t understand the situation they could have put them selves in. I’ve taken my pet to the La Quinta Petco for grooming multiple times, thinking it was somewhat professional, I was wrong. They for some reason started treating customers as if they don’t even want the business.
When I wanted more information about why they canceled my pets appointment, though I secured it 4-5 days out, the response was “it is what it is, even told to “go somewhere ells”. I was triggered to the point of going down there and explain the consequence's of there disrespect, but they’d probably just retreat to there safe space. Never entering a Petco ever again. If the job makes you unhappy, go back to your parents home and reevaluate your self. Being a POS at your job and to the customers won’t get you anywhere.

Very easy store to shop in knowledgeable sales, people and plenty of parking in front never had to wait in line and the go to place for all your Kibbles and bits

Petco, I don't hate it, but it always seems a little underwhelming. Maybe it's just the lighting, or the fact the parking lot always looks dirty.
I will say their selection of single source snacks is good. If your dog has allergies that's a big deal. Toys, ok,but not special or wide ranging. They never have the food I want.
The fish tanks and processing in the center of the store always looks like it needs cleaning or finishing or just something to hide it.
The entry to the grooming is not inviting. I have not been to a lot of other Petcos maybe this one is just bland. Like I said, don't hate it.

The person who took my info did not tell me that I would be receiving emails from Petco. If that was the case I would not have gave my email to him. He made it seem like I was filling out something because I was purchasing an animal. And that made me uncomfortable as well. It took the person in between 5 and 8 minutes to read over all the paperwork or whatever he was doing because he didn't really make me aware. There were people in line behind me and he was more concerned with the "paperwork". Once again I was not made aware that I was going to be receiving any notifications from Petco. But since the paperwork was taking a long time when he was done he politely asked me to step to the side so he could bring up the other people that were in line behind me. And I completely understand why he did that but it was just inconvenient for me. Again it wasn't totally his fault he was doing his job but I didn't understand why all that was necessary. I asked what the paperwork was for and he said it was standard. I was purchasing one feeder Mouse though, not a pet. I did find another worker to get the mouse for me so honestly I wasn't waiting very long just the whole procedure struck me a bit funny. I honestly was not treated poorly. The customer service was well.

I scheduled a bath & haircut PREMIUM appointment at La Quinta Petco due to my goldendoodle outgrowing her puppy hair. As soon as I walked into their grooming department the lady at the counter, sammie, ask me if had canceled my appointment, because someone left a voicemail earlier. I was confused & said no, she then asked for my puppies vaccines & refused to accept her card causing me to search for them via email. Once she accepted the fact that I came in to have my dog groomed with her vaccine proof, she made up an excuse that because it was her first time at the groomer it was recommended to only receive a bath & a quick trim. I told her I was not interested in a bath, that I was going in to get rid of her long puppy hair. Sammie, the employe, continued to give me the run around stating having the puppy groomed would be an extra charge. I told her I was fine with the price because I was very much interested in having her hair cut off. She then ignored me & printed out paper work stating she was going to get the services she recommended, completely disregarding the services I went in for, & then said she would only groom her if my dog did not react to her grooming equipment. When I picked up my dog, she did exactly what I did not go for in & said next time she will be ready to get groomed. I will NEVER again take my pet to Petco in La Quinta, it was an awful first experience. I could have bathed her & trimmed around her eyes at home!

The worst vetco ever! Unsanitary, they placed the vaccinations on the floor , the tech removed caps from the shot with their mouth! Gross! DO NOT bring your cats or dogs there for vaccines!
