Just took in my doggy today; Dr. Smith and his assistants (I'm sorry for forgetting both of your names) were fantastic with my baby Midna. He figured out her situation right away and I even stayed in the room with her as they did a tear test on her. Dr. Smith gave me a print out of what her condition is and explained it to me in full detail with the utmost patience. I rarely do reviews but this clinic deserves it 110% and the 5 stars. Great people, and great service. It's a little expensive but it is always so worth it. Thank you all!

I read some reviews, but they ate counter to my experience. I arrived early for my first appointment and had a short wait time. There was paper work needed for my senior pet, so that a while. Soon, I was called into an examination room and asked a series of questions. The technician was pleasant and took Buddy for vital checks. She returned and soon after Dr Rioux came in. She was very through and spent an hour discussing my big guy. I felt very confident in her advice. He's 13 and large dogs have an expiration date. I'm lucky his is longer than most. Discovered he had an ear infection and suggested an injectable arthritis med. I'm happy they let me be with him most of the time. My previous vet was cold and required me to drop him off at 8 am and pick him up at 5 pm. Not acceptable.

This place is wonderful. They have always provided excellent care to out 2 Bichons, Charlie and Rufus. They are always pleasant and professional. The offices are very clean. And we accidentally left all our documents for the boys behind and couldn't find them. The staff found them and mailed them back to us in NYC, because we moved. Thank you Elle and everyone!

Tito the Ragdoll loves his kitty cat spa day at Village Park Animal groomers. Jerel handles him with care and love. Tito comes home with soft fluffy fur after his bath, brush, comb and trim. There are special days set aside when only kitty cats get groomed. The entire staff is welcoming. Tito will return he already made his future appointments.

Avery was itching so bad she caused raw spots and sores on her skin. We tried different foods.. environmental changes.. shampoos.. nothing worked. It was awful. Dr. Rachael introduced us to the Cytopoint injection. Now she has one every couple of months. She is SO much more comfortable. Village Park has helped Avery with her dry eye and itching. As you can see... she is a much happier girl now.

I wrote a one-star review about Village Park Animal Hospital two days ago that questioned the amount we were charged for boarding two animals for six and one-half days. I was frustrated more about what I perceived as a "lack of concern" rather than the actual $50 difference I felt we were over billed. Today, I received a call from management at Village Park Animal Hospital that was gracious, professional and very apologetic. They not only resolved the difference but went above and beyond in showing they do respect and appreciate their customers.

We are new full time residents here in La . One of the things we have learned is not to try to become a new patient from October until May. Some of the medical offices have so many people wanting their services that there is a lot of demand. Trying to be patient I made an appointment for my pet and was told it would be several weeks to be able to bring him in. I was given a date but I had to bring him in in the evening. I showed up and was told I was a month too early. I asked if they could just see him for a short time and take the medical records from the Vet we had in LA. They told me no I would have to come back. I was upset and stated that I might just cancel and try another vet. However I took my pet back to my old Vet and got him the shots he needed so I decided to keep the appointment. I showed up and was told my appointment was cancelled. I could however schedule another appointment but it would be several weeks before they could see me. No offer of calling if they had a cancellation or any other accommodation. This business started in 1998 and it looks like they have not done any updating since they opened, many of the ceiling lights were burned out. I suppose I am spoiled because my old vet cared for my pet and It did not take several weeks to get an appointment. I have to admit I was upset but it is hard for me to get treated like they don't really care about the pet and could care less about helping the animals. I care about my pet too much, so I will take him back to LA until I can find a vet here that wants to help us keep him healthy.

We took our beardie here when she was sick. The staff got us in right away even though they were booked they still found a way to accommodate us. They even called and checked in and called again to give their condolences when she passed. The reptile doc is very kind and knowledgeable. We also bring our dog here and surprisingly they have found a way to make him feel calm at the vet and that never happens. They are more personable than any vet place we've been to.

Update: Blossom currently suffers from a chronic respiratory infection called Snuffles. She sneezes constantly everyday with no end in site. My family and I are dedicated to giving her antibiotics each day that were prescribed by her previous vet. My previous vet carefully performed a nasal swab test which was never done at Village Park to find the best suited antibiotic to combat the exact bacteria we were working with. As with humans, antibiotics should only be prescribed with definite knowledge as bacteria is becoming resistant to most antibiotics - also not done at Village Park. Blossom's pen is always kept extremely tidy and disinfected with natural cleaners everyday. Snuffles is an extremely contagious disease that is passed from rabbit-to-rabbit, (Blossom is the only rabbit we have). Some precaution was obviously not met at Villabe Park. I am so distraut that my baby is still so sick and will possibly never be the same. Hearing her high pitched sneezes that sound almost like a scream makes me feel so helpless. My heart breaks more and more everyday. My rabbit caught a viral respiratory infection from this place. She doesn't live with any other rabbits and always has had a clean living quarter. When asked for help, they gave her medication without even a check up. I asked how they could prescribe medication without running any tests and they responded by saying she had had this before and treatment was successful. Never has she ever had this infection before or been prescribed this anitbiotic. Three months later my poor baby is still sneezing uncontrollably and may never fully heal from it. Went back to our old veterinarian in another county and confirmed it was from lack of sanitation. The viral infection is highly contagious amongst rabbits, but could've been avoided with proper sanitation. Stay away from this place if you love your fur babies. They fabricate medical records and don't follow sanitation protocols.

So happy to have found a new vet that is so great! I called this morning because my kitty was having some eye issues and they were able to schedule me for the afternoon. From the woman who booked the appointment for me down to the tech that charged my card at the end everyone was so friendly, willing to answer questions and just overall pleasant to be around. Again, I'm just so glad to have finally found a vet out here who really gives great care to my fur babies! Winston thanks you!

I have taken rescue animals to this place. My dog has been there but not often because he was always healthy. I called them and they referred me to a mobile vet because my dog is old and was getting seizures and I knew it was probably time but I preferred home. So I thought it was great that they referred a mobile vet. Dr Bradshaw, the mobile vet, was great. She came and evaluated my dog and thought he might be in congestive heart failure which is treatable. Dr Bradshaw doesn't treat heart issues so she referred me back to Village Animal Park Hosp. But when I called them, they were very uncaring and unaccommodating and told me to go to the local VCA clinic. As we all know, the VCA clinics charge an arm and a leg and you don't always get the care you want. Well that was my case. Now my dog lays dying next to me. Shame on Village Park Animal Hospital. They wanted nothing to do with my old dying dog. Why? Because he was going to die soon anyway and they wouldn't get any more business from him. Even though I have been a loyal patron. All I wanted was x-rays to see if Dr Bradshaw's assessment was correct. Then I wanted to treat him with medication to make it easier for him to die without pain with me at home. I had heard many stories about them being money grubbing and uncaring, but didn't believe it. Trust me, you do not want to take your dog here. They are too busy making money on spaying and neutering to worry about poor sick animals that may not make it. The receptionist was cold and rude while I cried on the phone. Don't go there! Horrible people...

SHAME ON YOU VILLAGE PARK!! Two stars at best!! Very unprofessional service!! We are not residents of the area so we don't have any loyalty to any vets. After arriving in late October our Cavalier Kings Charles "Copper" was having a difficult time breathing and becoming weak do to an enlarged heart which we have known for 4-5 yrs. We knew it was time to not let Copper continue to suffer and help him cross over The Rainbow bridge. SHAME ON YOU VILLAGE PARK!!! After going over the reviews there were two vets in the area. I phoned Village Park and was told we were able to bring Copper in the following day at 1pm. The euthanasia, private cremation and urn would be a total of $250.00.. We decided to stop Copper's suffering any longer. SHAME ON YOU VILLAGE PARK!!! When arriving we were met by a tech to get us registered and told to park, someone would be out to get Copper as to the Corona Virus we could not go in with him. Copper must of been terrified.. We were not told of the cost expecting the $250 I was told would be our total SHAME ON YOU VILLAGE PARK!!! We received a call asking how we wanted to pay.. I expected the $250.00 I was told so I had my credit card ready. The amount was now $402.50. I mentioned that I was told $250. Her answer was "Oh I'm sorry they quoted you the wrong price" SHAME ON YOU VILLAGE PARK!!! On their website do to the COVID-19 it states the following "Doctors will examine your call you with recommendations and the room technician will call you to go over costs and to get your approval before we'd start any treatment. WE NEVER RECEIVED A CALL!!! SHAME ON YOU VILLAGE PARK!! Again I and my wife broke down sobbing again.. "What do we do now?" I was not going to prolong his suffering taking him back home. They already has his leg shaved and the IV inserted. I gave them my credit card information, then they had someone come out and escort us in to be with our beloved Copper. The staff and Dr. Jeffery were nice. I'm just very sad the Village Park did that to us at a time we were grieving the terrible loss of Copper. SHAME ON YOU VILLAGE PARK!!! Copper was an exceptional dog!! Very devoted to my wife as a great friend, companion and her service dog for years. This has been one of the hardest times for both of us. I waited till I received a call telling me the Copper was ready to be picked up before talking to Dr. Kathryn Carlson. I explained my disappointment with the unprofessional experience I had. Dr. Carlson said she will call me to discuss my situation as she has a patient waiting inside.. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL!!! SHAME ON YOU VILLAGE PARK!!!!!
