2002 Honda Civic 1.7LTook my car here to diagnose clutch noise, I was helped by Javier who seemed to know what was going on just by the description of my cars symptoms, I double checked his response online and found many sources to support his diagnosis.ended up replacing clutch , changing oil and getting diagnostic done for anything else that needs attentionthe service took about 2 days from 2/14 - 2/17(it was ready to go at 8am).Performance Automotive prices fairly and competitively they use NAPA parts so keep that in mind when getting work done here.overall Javier was helpful and got the work done in under 4 days the invoice/diagnosis was clear and appreciatedThanks Javier!Service: General repairs & maintenance

2002 Honda Civic lxI took my car here 2/14 to diagnose a clutch sound, ended up being a bad clutch bearing, I decided to go ahead and green light a clutch replacement and oil change plus a look over to see if anything else looked like it needed attention. the car was done 3 days later (2/17) I was provided with a clear diagnosis/estimate the prices here are competitive and fair. (they do use NAPA parts, keep in mind when coming here)I know very little of cars outside of very basic operations/repairs, but as soon as I described the sound to Javier he seemed to already know what was wrong. I double checked his response and got very similar answers online in relation to the symptoms my car had. overall pretty good experience, not too many negatives, -I was told car would be done by the 16th and I would receive a call, no call came so I called that day, no answer. the very next morning I was informed the car is ready, no biggie as this is my secondary car and the time spent in shop was under a week -i noticed quite a bit of gas gone when I picked my car up, not too concerning but it is the most I've seen gone when picking up a car from a mechanic. I would recommend this shop for fair prices and great diagnostics, my car feels good, shifts smooth and nothing out of the ordinary so far Thanks Javier!

Service is great! I came to one automobile shop for maintenance and they suggested me to fix some problems of the car with very unreasonable price. However, when I came to Performance automobile they honestly and carefully checked my car and said that my car is good. I was very pleased to visit Performance automobile and for sure will come here for future service.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

My truck needed a smog check so I visited this arrogant, prideful owner maybe manager at this location. I had all my documents including all the CARB stickers for my truck to pass smog legally. This guy told me he i won't pass smog because I dont have a CARB sticker for my supercharger. I had them in my hand but I haven't glued them down because my engine bay is dirty. After making me feel like I stole the stickers or I'm lying he said bring the truck with them on and he will test it. The next day after cleaning my engine bay, securing the stickers, driving back to him he said he can't do it. Then he continued to ensure me that no one in town will do it and once again he made me feel like I was doing something unethical and illegal. He said the only way he'll do it is if I bring the original invoice from Toyota showing this supercharger was installed by Toyota and it meets CARB. I came back the next day with my original invoice with my name on it, he looked at it several times and handed it back to me and said he won't do it followed by the "No one in this city would do it". Everything I presented this man and legitimate and legal. Nothing was fabricated. He should of told me no from the start. I came back after work 3 times consecutively and presented everything he asked for and he still would not test my truck. Next day I took it to his competitor of valley closer to the 605 and they tested and passed it with out asking any questions. This arrogant skinny middle aged man that drives an old beat up corvette enjoys making you feel like your not worth his time. Give the business to someone else that will appreciate it. Not this guy.

My car was in a front end collision. Javier explained all that was needed and he was very thorough. He fixed the headlamp assembly, stabilized the torn bumper and did a fantastic job! All in one day! I would highly recommend this automotive shop.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Had a check engine light on my car so I took it to a mechanic near my work. He read the code said he wouldn't be able to properly diagnose the problem. I asked him if he could recommend a place. He told me to go to Performance Auto Repair. So glad I did. They completely took good care of my car. The price was very fair. I googled the repair and his price was right in line. I know a bit about auto repair and trust me these guys know what they are talking about. He discussed every part of my car's situation. He was very transparent when it came to telling me what the issue was. Then they delivered exactly what was promised. I would use this place with my car in the future. In fact I will again soon. My clutch is going to need to be replaced and I'll be bringing it back here for repairs. Most importantly my car runs better than it has in a long time.

Well what can I say everything began very very well was so excited to get my truck back rebuild the whole rest end swapped back to the oem factory break drum system differential etc but on the way back home yikes ? still few one of many cases Performance’ auto still very professional and correct in the handling issues like these and took responsibility of course and now waiting to get back on the mud!Services: Steering/Suspension

Very disappointed because we chose you for a simple brake and light inspection from the yelp reviews. Unfortuanley after driving out of your facility our truck stalled due to a busted radiator that was caused at your faculty and you recognized this because you said my husband put water and it all spilled in your facility. Revving the engine while idle to gain power to the car is not needed. My husband told you this and you continued. When we spoke over the phone all you did is criticize the condition of my truck and how you had to unplug the battery. A simple bypass that my husband advised you due to a missing auto start key why he told you this. Keep in mind he is the owner of the truck and would know best. You should have stopped. I don't know how a battery may relate to a busted radiator that was caused by your negligence. All I wanted you to do is replace my radiator which you agreed but as my expense. So where is the fairness. I went to Autozone and paid to replace. Keep in mind if you didn't feel you were at fault you would have offered to replace the radiator at a cost. I have now where to turn but my word on this forum to help others.

First I would like to say thank you to performance automotive for the amazing job and service they do. When you find the right shop it's impossible to feel good about your vehicle confidence and liability in the back of your head you feel relief of headaches thinking about those problems.

BEST mechanic shop around town if you ask me. The 2 most recent post just seem a little inaccurate. I've been coming to Performance Auto for quite some time and been suggesting friends to come to this location. They also have felt like they've been treated with nothing but honesty and respect. The business was responsible during COVID-19 by enforcing social distancing in the waiting area and by providing complementary hand sanitizer and masks if you needed one. All employees do also wear masks. Any who, just got my car back after 2 days because it just didn't want to pass smog and believe me when I say that Javier did excellent work on replacing parts that needed to be replaced in order for my truck to pass at which he did get it to pass! His prices remain great too even throughout a pandemic where every other mechanic shops felt like they needed to sky rocket their prices. Highly recommend!
