Everything is GREAT about this Vet. You can tell the staff & Dr. Adler all care about pets & their owners. They go above & beyond in everything they do! I've gone there for years with my current pet & with previous ones! Their prices are very competitive too! I've recommended them to many friends & family!

My 14 yr old cat, Chuckie, had been suffering with dental gum inflammation. Called all over town to check pricing, I felt they were very reasonably priced. A new customer, I was very impressed with their service. My Chuckie is on the mend, no issue's. I could see the satisfaction of all the other patients while I sat in the lobby. I am recommending this business to all.

Ok this is a long term treatment review. Here at the facts. My dog had what the Dr. called either allergies or environmental ear infection. Sold me an Ear flush treatment. It went away after several weeks. The issue arose again after a couple of months. Treatment didn't work. $200 for treatment for issue that never got better. Not a good investment. We seek another option to solve the issue. Other option we took way less expensive. Took care of the issue.

The vet Dr. Brian Adler is great! He's thorough and explains everything in terms you can understand. But that doesn't make up for the fact that the wait times are OUTRAGEOUS!! Do not believe anything they say about when to pick up your pet, when the vet will come in to see you, or how soon medications will be ready. When you bring up how long you've been waiting to the staff they simply do not care and make excuses. It's unacceptable.

We bought our boy blue to quality pet care at 9 AM this morning with a bleeding Paw he scratched on a window and it broke, he was bleeding profusely. We wrapped it at home and took him. They said they would get to him and call us after five hours they had not called, we called them to find out what was going on. They had not looked at our dog. The bandage had not been changed. They had left our boy bleeding in a cage at the hospital for five hours if there was less than one star I would give them less than one star horrible do not take any pet there horrible.

I followed Dr. Adler from Eagle Rock to La Puente because I have never been to a more caring and cost-conscious vet. Someone here in their review said he was "West LA". They should do their research. Before making the drive to his new practice, I took my cat to a new clinic in Eagle Rock and it was a horrible and extremely costly experience when my cat only needed treatment for a bladder stone. To say that Dr. Adler's prices are too high is very incorrect. Do a survey of vets and it will be apparent. It's worth the drive for peace of mind for my sweet Kiki.

I did a walk-in about 2 weeks ago. Reason for my walk-in was because I called on two separate days with no answer it would just ring then I was redirected to the voice machine. As I walked in the not so gentlemen in the front decided that he wanted to argue the fact that I told him "I called and no one answers" he responded with "we always answer the phone that can't be true we answer every call and so on and so forth" he was just plain rude wanting to argue, something that I didn't care for arguing about. I was just explaining to him my reason for the walk-in. He could have easily said we get numerous calls so when can catch every call but no he wanted to argue the fact that all calls are answer. I really wanted to try this place because of the ratings, but I found another place for my pup with better customer services better prices and the staff in the front is great.

This is hands down the best vet I have ever been to in my dog's entire life. Every time we come they ask extremely thorough questions and really take the time to explain things to me. You can also tell everyone who works here genuinely cares about your animal baby My dog is 14 years old so we have to come at least once a year but usually twice. I drive all the way from LA because they are way better than any of the more expensive fancy places in town. They will also recommend costco and chewy.com for prescriptions to help you save more money!

We were longtime clients (2 dogs and 2 cats since 1992) of Hacienda Animal Clinic With Dr. E. When he retired, it was surprising, but we didn't begrudge him for it. He deserved it. Our first visit with Dr. Adler (who took over) was eye-opening. It is understood that different people (and different generations) do things differently, but to our fault, we assumed that the new regime would continue...more or less...running the clinic the same way. It was indeed a night and day difference between the 2 businesses. I will not list all of the changes...both minor and drastic that Dr. Adler instilled. I will, however, illustrate 2 major differences immediately noted: A. EVERY rate / price was increased substantially. It immediately cost us anywhere between 30-50% more for visits, meds, procedures, exams, etc. than the last and previous visits. I do not know if Dr. Adler truly realized when he took over the business, but the City of La Puente is not on the same tax bracket as that of West L.A. People in this area live from paycheck to paycheck. It seems very unfair, and quite oblivious to his clientele at best, or flat-out greedy at worst to raise the rates/prices as much as he immediately did. In all fairness, perhaps he only raised the rates to be on par with the other Vets in the area, but gradual increases over time would have been more understandable and likely more tolerated. I can only assume he lost many longtime clients over this point. B. Dr. Adler, although seemingly knowledgeable and more than competent, seems to lack the warmth and caring/concern that we had grown used to from Dr. E and the workers in his office. There is a feeling of business first... and foremost. Although very beautifully upgraded, the office is cold now. The workers are professional, but again, businesslike. And Dr. Adler himself lacks warmth which can be misconstrued as lacking compassion or caring. He examines the animal; Methodically makes a diagnosis; Explains his logic and substantiates his diagnosis; Gives his recommendations; Asks for questions; informs us of the treatment/intervention/next step in the process. An assistant then appears and informs us of the cost, gives the med, administers the injection, relays instructions, etc. All very efficient. All very businesslike. All giving off the impression of an A.I. Veterinary clinic vs. a clinic run by human beings. Over the years, Dr. E. would see us and ask about my job...because he not only remembered me, but what I did for a living. We would speak of vacations, talk future retirement, world events, etc., all while he would be evaluating my pet for an acute condition, an annual visit, or even prior to administering vaccinations... himself. NOW: What prompted me to actually write this review was this: My dog had a 4 p.m. appt. Showed up at 3:50 p.m. with a group of people outside of the office. Figured that was what was supposed to be done. Several minutes later, an office assistant came outside clarifying for anyone who didn't know that they need to register inside. OK. The inside of the office was standing room only. When my turn came to register, I asked how long it would take to be seen. It was 4:15 p.m. (15 min. after appt. time) I was informed there were "15 appointments and 3 walk-ins" ahead of me. They would get to me as quickly as they could. When I have an appt. for 4 p.m. and am told there are 18 people ahead of me, 15 min. after appt. time, something is NOT RIGHT about that. That points to absolute greed rather than of customer service. I am approaching 80 years old. I am not physically able to stand for however long, then sit for an undetermined time after a seat is available. More importantly, I shouldn't HAVE to. So, I left without my dog receiving the care he required. As for this review: My grading is for care, pricing and customer service in totality.

Had very bad experiences with this place. On multiple occasions, I have received different instructions/information from different staff members regarding services available, what time they are available, and overall inconsistency among the staff here. As someone with multiple pets, it has been very difficult working with this clinic due to the ineffective communication. Unfortunately, for that reason, I will have to look for a new vet.

Dr. E and his staff are great! He took care of our 10 year old. She was dealing with pancreatitis. She is back home and doing great. I like his style. He's straight to the point and still very caring. And, unlike many practices, he tries to keep your costs down. Thank you Dr. E!
