Worst company ever! Please DO NOT hire. This business is not BBB accredited.By starting off they leave so much valuable information out of the order. At the beginning, sales was great. Once they come and pick your stuff up forget about it you will not hear from them again. First things first this company is not legit. Three guys in random tshirts came in , not formal and not professional at all. After that never heard from them. I called multiple times to receive updates and never ever got an update he said hell call me back and never did. We moved from Cali to New York and they promised us they would only take one week. After 29 days from almost a month we finally received our stuff. They tried to charge us for a shuttle free. A shuttle fee for a road that was empty and could fit ? LOL i dont think so. After I had signed the contract they added on the fee without notifying me which is illegal. He basically forged the document. After arguing with the manager he lied and said he had told me about it and that I was a liar. So professional right? Dealing with them was overall just a headache and anxiety with where our stuff. Please pay $800 and gets PODS or UHAUL because this was not worth it.All of our furniture is damaged, all boxes were damaged, almost everything is broken oh and they lost one of our items! Been trying to contact them about it with no luck. This company is a joke. Never again. I have reported them to BBB with receipts. PLEASE stay away. Far away.

I am in the military and decided to a do it yourself move. I’ve done many moves through the military and have a good sense of what to expect. So I picked Moving Relo due to the low cost of the move. I can say with confidence that hiring Moving Relo was not worth the value. I do not recommend working with Moving Relo Los Angeles office and advise you to go with a more trusted company even if it costs more. There are three reasons my experience with Moving Relo was bad: (1) terrible responsiveness (2) lateness of pick up and delivery, and (3) lack of professionalism.(1) Poor responsiveness: the sales rep, Adam Palme, was super responsive before I signed a contract. But after I signed it, he has not replied to my emails (I sent three) or phone calls (I’ve called about five times over a week). Nobody in their office, to include the driver, could provide me the pick up time range 24 hours out or even the day of the move without me calling them and asking for a time range. See next section for what happened.(2) Poor punctuality: in the contract, my pick up date was scheduled between 1-2 DEC. Moving Relo picked up my goods on 3 DEC, which is after I moved out of my apartment. On 2 DEC, they kept delaying the delivery time until they admitted they couldn’t do it until the next day. This is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. As for delivery of goods, the driver said he will deliver my goods on 10 DEC. The day before on 9 DEC, nobody contacts me to confirm or provide a time range just like what happened during the pick up experience. So I call east coast and west coast offices and the original driver. Nobody picked up their phones. I finally reach the LA Manager named AJ who said he isn’t tracking a 10 DEC delivery date. Why aren’t they communicating? He said my goods will now come 11 DEC and said that the contract says they have up to 21 days to deliver the goods. I don’t know if that’s true. But don’t schedule a delivery date you can’t follow through with (basic business practice). People have to take off from work to be home to receive the goods. It is highly inconsiderate and unprofessional. It is 9 DEC as I write this review. My goods haven’t been delivered yet. I will update and add another review based on how that experience goes.(3) lack of professionalism: besides the lack of punctuality and responsiveness (as if that’s not already bad enough), all my calls (east coast and west coast lines, operating manager in NJ, and sales rep) went to voicemail with the exception of the LA office phone number, which doesn’t even have a voice message set up. Every time I called anyone from Moving Relo with the exception of the sale rep (of course), they would answer with just a hello as if I was calling a private residence and not a business expecting customers to call. It was all very strange.Additionally, nobody from Moving Relo was apologetic or understanding even though they were in the wrong until I showed my frustration. It isn’t hard to apologize and strive to be better. That’s basic customer service and people skills. They need to improve in this area significantly or their reputation will be damaged.Recommendation: Do not hire Moving Relo.

HORRIBLE RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN. Rip off. Changed price on the receipt AFTER I signed and I have photo proof. Very unprofessional. Zero stars if I could.

STAY FAR AWAY!!!!I’ve never had a worse experience with a moving company. A man by the name of “Russ” not only tried to charge us $680 more than the $3000 “binding” contract, but they refused to deliver our furniture and said they would put it in storage and essentially hold it ransom until we agreed to pay. Adam who sold us on the company never returned calls and Ron in charge of logistics never even sent an inventory list! They said this space we reserved was too small

These stars are for the price and the packing material they used to support the move.My experience with these guys started out fine. The rep was patient with me as I worked out dates and content for the move. Once the paperwork was signed my experience turned to less than ideal. The communication was not consistent once the paperwork was signed. The dates became estimates.I was told my delivery date and time then the time kept getting later and later. Eventually the guy shows up by himself at about 10pm. He was confident that it would only take him 30 mins to unload. It took both of us an hour to finish. Nice guy but really didn't understand that it was not a nice neighborhood and counting cash in the street light and leaving the truck open with nobody outside was not a good idea.If you are committed to reading the entire contents of the paperwork and you are very flexible with scheduling you might have a good experience. I don't think that this is a good group to use as a first timer.

We chose AVL to move my home and my mother's home from CA to WA. Within a few days of signing the contract they said that they were unable to do the move and would need to have a third party (Moving Relo) take over the move. We were told someone would call us to confirm the number of boxes and go over the details and no one ever called us. We eventually found an email from them in our junk emails days later. We were given a 8-9 am window then they called and said 9-10 am and finally showed up around 10:30 am. They arrived with an 18 wheeler and a smaller truck. They proceeded to remove other people's belongings and leave them on my front yard for the entire day, while they packed my stuff in the truck. We had a 3 day window of moving and for the arrival. Since they came on the last day for loading the truck, we assumed the window of arrival would be toward the end of the delivery window (we needed to drive the 1100 miles to meet them). But, with our surprise they said they were going to delivery the items the next day. Which for us was impossible unless we drove without stopping the 16+ hours. Since we couldn't make it, they charged us an additional $700.The day of delivery they were late, we tried calling the office and asked for someone to call us back right away, and no one called until days later. We had 9 people packing and loading us and on the day of delivery there were only the 2 drivers to unload. They loaded the storage units very unprofessionally with a lot of open space and toward the end asked if we could get another storage unit because they were running out of space. Dropping glass/fragile boxes from waist high. Putting large heavy kitchen boxes on glass/fragile boxes. I said something and the driver got mad and said that we talked too much. Also threatened to leave the remaining boxes/furniture on the driveway. To top it off, the last 10-15 boxes were completely soaked from an apparent leak in the truck. They also broke the storage unit light and we noticed multiply broken pieces of furniture. We will be unpacking within the next week, who knows what else is broken.Very disappointed with American Van Lines and Moving Relo would never recommend them to anyone.
