Tyler- he is the reason we will always return to this store! Upon entering the store we were immediately greeted by Tyler and he was eager to help and answer any questions we had. He made sure we purchased the right products by asking about our progeny needs. He's a GEM!!

I did not have a good experience at Sherwin Williams. The salespeople were not knowledgeable about their paint. I was new to S.W. paint and I had questions, All the clerk did was point to a paint comparison chart with checkmarks. She was not able to answer my very basic questions about the paint. The other clerk was in training. I went to S.W. because they had purchased Frazee Paints years ago, and I wanted some old Frazee colors. The clerk was only able to fill a very basic color (Arizona White) and not the others I needed. She didn't care and was quite flippant with her comments to me. Horrible customer service. When I'm paying over $75 for a gallon for paint, I expect better customer service. The clerks at Home Depot and Lowes are much friendlier and have superior knowledge. I left feeling quite frustrated. No more "boutique" paint store for me.

Wonderful experience. First time I visited the store was to pick a color for my bathroom. Tommy came over and asked if I needed help. I didn't think I did, but I overheard him to talking to other customers and he was very knowledgeable. I made a note of it. I finally found the color I wanted at Dixieline. I tried to ask for sample to take home, but they said they didn't have any. I am ready to paint so I called Dixieline Wednesday and asked if they could make some oil based paint for me to test in that color. They informed me they didn't carry oil based paint only flat paint and the only sold it by the gallon. After talking to him further and getting no where, I decided to go back to Sherwin Williams in LA Mesa and talk to Tommy and find a matching color. I couldn't find a matching color, but I found Tommy and he said it was easy to make the paint for me. He even showed me how he looked up the Valparaiso code for the paint of a competitor and then made a small can for $5 of satin paint. He told me he hated how rude people were to seniors. If you need paint, samples and general questions answered Tommy is your go to guy and Sherwin Williams in La Mesa is the store. Tommy loves his job and people and it shows. Avoid Dixieline.

Love this store! This week Jessica was a godsend to me. She took the time to give me the exactly the help and answers I was seeking. I can't thank her enough. I live 3 streets away, and this feels like the kind of place I'd find in a quaint community. The sales associates have always been super friendly and helpful. I've observed employees welcoming their regular customers by name and asking about how their pets are doing. I highly recommend La Mesa Sherwin Williams for people seeking personalized service and a great overall paint products.

I came in with a paint chip and had a custom match done. Ariella was super patient with all of my amateur questions. They eyeballed the paint finish perfectly, and the color match looks great.

I was waiting for the employee at the store then I asked for color match and they said ours machine is broken so we can't do that Seriously you have only 1 color match machine ? THD has like 4 and they're not a paint store

If you need wallpaper, this store has the best selection in San Diego. There's a wall full of shelves of wallpaper books, with every imaginable style. Tables and chairs are set up in a sunny room, and browsing wallpaper books is fun. I checked out 3 books to take home and examine next to my actual walls, which is often essential. The prices are probably standard ... fancy styles are more expensive. The sales reps here such as Eddie are knowledgeable and personable. A week later, I've received half my order at my house, via Fed Ex. I'm very happy with my entire experience.

Apparently I dropped in on the employee's social hour. Three people working, none asked to help, just pointed me in the general direction of product I was looking for. Product selection was depleted. Don't waste your time time here, take your money somewhere else.

DONT WASTE YOuR TIME OR MONEY!Bought a gallon of their “best” paint went home excited to get my project done. Turns out the paint was as thin as water put on 3 coats over primer and it will still take 3 more. If I had months to paint and let dry only to paint again and again I wouldn’t mind. However I planned on a weekend project now I have to cancel my whole job! I returned the paint to the store and the sales person put 2 coats on a stir stick about 2 inches long and used a blow dryer in between. He brought me the stir stick that didn’t have any primer and said it looks fine to him. I now will go to the big box store and get paint that is thick and rich and will cover as promised. Don’t waste your time!!!

Very nice store and helpful staff. Thanks to them for picking my photo for their feature photo. I occupied myself taking photos while I waited for them to mix the paint. In and out in 10 minutes. They had a couple hand sanitizers around, which was a nice touch and a little seating area, which was another nice touch. We went there mostly because our handyman had given us the paint color swatches from sherwin Williams, so they had the color we chose. Turned out to be quick and easy to get the job done. Now comes the hard part, which is actually painting the trim on our house. It was a bit pricey for the paint, but I hope it's quality paint. Don't want to have to do this job again.

They are extremely helpful and friendly. I am a rookie at painting and I didn't feel like a rookie when I left. Never got upset with me and all of my questions
