SDCCU took away the ability for customers to pay their bills via direct deposit from their SDCCU bank account, into another bank's account. (Popmoney). They DID NOT INFORM members of this. Due to this, I had automatic loan payments stop without my knowledge, now I have incurred a slew of late fees and it has negatively impacted my credit score, while I'm in the middle of trying to purchase my first home- this has screwed us over. SDCCU is TRASH. What a fundamental banking service to take away...... I'm furious. Do you want basic banking services? Don't bank here.

Waited in line and when the teller finished up her transaction with a customer she proceeded to duck her head behind her computer screen instead and ignoring the long line of customers waiting to be helped. I waited patiently for her to say next customer as is common practice in most places of business. During the entire transaction, she was not friendly and went through the motions. It seems that SDCCU's motto is "I'll take your money but I don't have to treat you with courtesy or respect." They will receive the same treatment they provide to their long-time customers. Taking mu huge savings account out of their bank was the right decision. Giving minimal service doesnt earn my hard earned money to finance their loans.

Not branch specific but just overall SDCCU experience is horrible! Don't bank with them. Been a member since I opened an account 15 years ago and my card was stolen and they won't do anything about returning my $500. Always good service in the branches but when I need them most they can't help. So bummed.

We came in to the La Mesa Branch to see about getting my mom a car loan. She didn't have the most pleasant experience on the phone, so we were hoping that in-person would be better. What a wonderful experience. Ana Ramirez helped us and she was SO NICE! She listened to our situation and explained everything so well. In the end we walked out with a success and feeling so grateful. Thank you so much, Ana, for helping my momma!

I had fraudulent charges on my account I went into turn the paperwork into this branch. They lost the paperwork and now are refusing to refund the $400 that was taken from my checking account.

This review is regarding international wires. Including going to the branch I have spoken to 4 people and still don't have the answer to my question. The first 3 times I have asked about what information is needed was in branch and twice through the app. The bank who is sending the money have stated that SDCCU needs to provide an intermediary bank where the funds go to before being sent to SDCCU as they do not have a swift code. All 3 times I was told that the sending bank has their own intermediary bank to use. WRONG INFORMATION!!!! I call the call center and speak with the fourth person. Explain the situation. Starts to looks better,they state SDCCU uses an intermediary bank and puts me on hold to get the info. Rep comes back on the line to tell me "oh you can use any of the big banks like Chase or BofA as the intermediary bank"Ok well I am asking you as my financial institution who do I use and what's the swift code and address I need??? This is an international payment for a large sum of money and I wanna make sure I have the correct information. How do I know they will provide the funds to SDCCU?!? Info was not provided by the rep. I could hear the shoulder shrugging from the rep on the other side of the phone.Just seems to be a lack of training and knowledge when it's comes to international wires. Just disappointing as now I have to open an account with one of the "big banks" in order to receive an international payment. I really like SDCCU but this has been disappointing and bad experience.

Sarah Teller #4647 This lady was so concerned about why I had my girlfriend's card, that she only deposit 500 dollars out of 800 dollar check I gave her. After I told her that I was depositing $800 dollars. This was very inconvenient for me because I needed the whole $800 deposited. Now I have to wait 1-2 business days for money I needed today.

Well service I got attended very quickly, had a very great experience overall and was helped by Yusara Kelley which helped me through all and was very helpful to all of the information that I needed, great experience overall. :)

Outside ATM is garbage, don't expect to perform a transactions via ATM. Wont dispense cash, deposits ect. This has been going on for awhile at La Mesa Branch. Otherwise 5 stars

Always use a credit local credit union! I've been a customer of SDCCU for years. They are great. On my most recent visit, I deposited a check from the County of S D. No hold on the funds. On another occasion, I purchased something online. The company turned out to be a fraud. SDCCU helped me with the dispute and credited my account until the dispute was settled.They are fantastic!

Worst bank out there. Garbage customer service. Let’s offer online functions to customers that don’t work. Want to stop a payment? Great you need do it online. Oh but you’ll need a check # that we don’t have access to. How does that even make sense? Save a headache and a dumpster fire, bank with a big bank. These clowns have no idea what they’re doing.

I can not speak for the bank itself as I am not a member of SDCCU, however I can still share my experience with two wonderful individuals that work for this branch. Danny Tejeda and Luma Hannah. About 10 days ago I deposited a large sum of cash into an SDCCU ATM under the false pretense that it would accept my transaction even though I bank with another company. The machine took all of they money I had deposited and then left me with only a receipt that says "0.00" dollars was received. It was an absolute nightmare of continually calling both banks to try and sort this problem out, and eventually I began physically getting in my vehicle to talk to both SDCCU and my bank to try and solve this issue. After so long of not getting any help, as my bank refused to file a dispute for me, Tejeda and Luma of SDCCU went above and beyond for me. Even though I am not a member, they treated me like family, listened, empathized, gave me their information so that I could call for updates and ultimately helped me get to the bottom of the situation. I appreciate them very much, they deserve a raise!! Kaylee Barton
