Amazing Wine Tasting Experience with a Historical Touch at San Pasqual Winery!
Our visit to San Pasqual Winery’s downtown La Mesa location was truly memorable. Mike and Linda, the amazing hosts, provided us with a wonderful tour, sharing the rich history of the winery and giving us a behind-the-scenes look at the cozy spaces available for private gatherings.
The award-winning wines were absolutely delightful—each one offering a unique and exquisite taste. Whether you’re looking to book a small event or just want to enjoy a relaxing wine tasting experience, San Pasqual Winery is the perfect destination. Highly recommend a visit to experience both the history and the exceptional wines!

Great little spot, especially to use your San Diego Sips passport. Very busy when we visited, which seemed out of the ordinary. The woman behind the counter offered us an extra pour after the crowd left, apologizing for the rush of folks. Wine was good, and appreciative for the extra pour. A great stop over after visiting the night market. Didn't love some of the whites but will be going back to give the rose a try.

Love love love the environment! Not snobby, everyone was super friendly and the workers there are so lovely. I learned so much more about wine, the production, growing from these folks than wineries in Temecula or SLO. First time on a date with the hubs after having our first child and this was the perfect place! Oh yeah wine is good there's some that I didn't prefer but good variety.

First of all, their wine is very good. Second they establish a positive, lively interaction in the tasting room. Topher is very cool, but I've got to say that Gabe is a rock star. He answered all my questions and went out of his way to take care of me, at close to closing time. Their Summer Vine Habanero Passion fruit wine is unique, tastes fantastic & its so popular they put it in a slushy machine and serve it ice cold in a wine glass as well!

I came here after an unfortunate celebration event not too far from them. We had intended on grabbing a glass of wine from one of the restaurants nearby but everything looked pretty packed and people-ly...so we headed over, since one of my friends with me said it was a nice place. It is what I would call a small intimate setting. My two friends tried the sangria and also a white wine. I went for the two sweeter wines they had on the list. Everything we tried was good, and the gentleman that was there was very nice. It is in a good spot for watching passerbyes too, and the location is nice to do some walking after as well. I would definitely come back here again and think it would make a fun date spot too.

I simply adore this Wine Tasting Room and have been a patron for more than 10 years. I find it a quaint atmosphere, unlike many other's, and those who patron at San Pasqual almost intrinsically understand that it is a quieter establishment catering to soft enjoyable conversation with light laughs. There are many tasting rooms in which there are various types of patrons who at times can be too rambunctious or without etiquette, thankfully this is not one of them. I would say it is a great place to destress after work all the way to meeting someone for the first time that could lead to a new romantic relationship. Personally I am a lover of 99% of their wines, the Passion Fruit Habanero being the best causal drink of choice, not too light or too heavy or too sweet, but it does have a tinge of spice which is definitely something different on the palate that is incredibly enjoyable. Topher & Teresa are my favorite wine connoisseurs both full of WINEderful conversation and an UNCORKED knowledge of both their wines, various wineries in San Diego, Temecula, Ramona, and more. They as well know much about the wine making process and I am surprised that they have not indented on establishing their own Winery. Topher has wit and charm and Teresa is a hoot with a lovely demeanor. Also if there, order the "Classy, but Sassy" off the Secret Menu, Champagne with the addition of Passion Habanero Wine- You'll thank me!
