So great! I love coming here for my hair dye and conditioner, they carry a lot of professional level hair items. I always get the Ion brand and they’re good at keeping popular items in stock. The employees are super helpful and very knowledgeable about different products, I think a number of them must be trained in cosmetology and such. Thank you Sally’s workers!

They have a good selection of textured hair care products but I didn't see a collection for locs. I like how clean and organized the store is. It was very easy to find my other items.The workers are kind. I love being greeted when you arrive and wished well for the rest of the day. Great customer service!

I went in to this store to get a clipper that was better quality than big box stores - I asked the associate which clipper would be good for lining up my sons hair - she didn't know so asked someone in the back - then came back with one and said this is what you want. So I bought it trusting they know. I use it once it's the same as a cheap one from Walmart. And they won't take it back... Will not go back and will tell others they shouldn't either.

This is the best Sally Beauty ever. Been shopping at them since I was teen in Columbus, Ohio. I am now pushing 60. Been to many many Sally Beauty stores all over San Diego with sometimes very good experiences and others, not so much. I recently moved into this area and went to this store in La Mesa. OMG. I could not have asked for better help! The store was big and clean. Two ladies working there and so very helpful. And best upon best they ACTUALLY knew what they were talking about. Not the typical CA attitude (been here since 1987 so I know it well) of I don't care what you do or who you are, and let me get back on my phone. These ladies both deserve raises. They were awesome. I was in there today at 3PM for the Sallys Management if you read this.

Was in the store Friday morning,7/8/2022. The employee was ABRASIVE, rude, and over bearing. She seemed tooooo busy to help me, then when was willing to, was in a rush. I will NOT give my money to a company like this. I left and went to a competitor's store in El Cajon. With gas over $6.00 a gallon, and I'm willing to pay that money to go to a different retailer .... it was still worth not giving my business to a company that has employees that mistreat you.

I looked at this store's reviews before heading over. I almost went elsewhere because many of them are negative. But I decided to try my luck and I'm glad I did. The young lady at the register was really helpful - I probably would have made a purchasing mistake without her assistance. Another employee was there - maybe the manager? - and I overheard her helping other customers in a patient, nice manner.

I had a very bad experience last time at this place, the lady who I believe was the manager, was extremely rude and unprofessional. She didn't even bother answering my question nor did she offer any help. If you don't like social interaction and being asked for advice please do not work in the retail industry. With this kind of attitude I would rather shop at an other location.

Not all Sally's are alike, some carry equipment and more supplies, but they are all clean and the customer service is nice. I just wish that some of the smaller chains could order some of the high demand products for stylist. So we don't have to drive out so far.

Never go here again. The female clerk that worked today sold me the wrong product yesterday then told me there was a no return policy. So now I'm stuck with a 30 dollar product that I can't use. Instead of accommodating the customer they would rather loose me as a customers way to go Sally.

Giant letters say "curbside available" so I ordered, drove to the curbside. They refused to give me my order, saying I had to go INSIDE the store. I said I ordered "curbside" and I was literally at the curb. They were very taxed to come up with a solution, zero critical thinking skills to figure out a way to provide customer service. They were rude. I'm literally at the curb, pointing to the sign "curb" and they said "no you have to come inside" - mind boggling. I guess you get the employee you pay for.

I've been shopping here for over 10 years. I also attended cosmetology school. The staff used to be students from the beauty school next door and have mostly always been very friendly and helpful. Ive had questions from mild makeup tips to intense hair color corrections and have always been led in the right direction. If you have a Sally's card you get extra discounts and they will remind you when its time to renew. The store is always clean and well organized. I've never felt upselling pressure and almost always grab a little something from the small displays at the register. I feel the products are quality items. If you are dissatisfied you can let them know for a better recommendation. I highly recommend this store.
