Tough on the no tag "gift" return. Of course that was with no receipt, and got the refund in store credit with i.d. ... great prices on name brand stock! Don't try and navigate clothing unless your a Medium or less.

Bad customer service. This cashier was so rude and unprofessional. I've always shopped at Ross stores and never have I had such a bad experience. ---- This cashier was so rude and unprofessional.The cashier rang me up but the card machine wasn't working and I always pay via Apple Pay at Ross since i don't like to carry my purse in stores as I usually leave my cart unattended. I try paying but the card machine is blank, it doesn't seem to be turned on. My transaction doesn't go through so she tells me to try again. I then let her know the card machine is blank and that it doesn't appear to be on. She looks at me and just says "well on my end it says it's an invalid account, so do you have an actual physical card?" Her attitude seemed annoyed but i still tell her nicely no it's in my car but that even if i go get it that i don't think that's the issue - the machine isn't even on or showing a total or tap to pay icon, nothing. She gives me an annoyed look like she didn't believe me and I commented "if you want, you can look on this side and check the card machine and you'll see what I'm talking about everything is grayed out or i can go get my wallet real quick" she finally checks the actual machine and realizes what I've been trying to tell her and she starts yelling at her manager Jessica to help her because the card reader machines not working. Her and Jessica start talking while I'm still standing where she left me and finally just looks up at me and says oh they're going to ring you over here and doesn't help me carry any of my clothes or products she rang me up for and just gives my transaction over to a new cashier. As I'm bringing everything over and placing everything at the new cashier, The new cashier doesn't even acknowledge me. they're both just side talking thru the whole transaction. as I'm bagging my own items (because they didn't have bigger bags and didn't bother to bag my items for me or acknowledge me) i hear the original cashier girl say "I know like you don't have to be passive aggressive, I can't stand customers sometimes" and shakes her head and we make eye contact and laughed in front of me. Like no I'm sorry, you're just unprofessional and you could have at least had the decency to wait until the customer leaves to start talking about them like most ppl do. LIKE IF THATS THE CASE THEN DONT WORK AT ROSS GIRL. I simply came to shop and leave, not to have to deal with your mess of an attitude. I'm sorry you had a bad day and the machines not working BUT THATS NOT THE CUSTOMERS FAULT so don't take it out on us when you're the one that's not happy.

Purchased $150 on Saturday night without trying on and needed to return half. I went there around 10 pm on Sunday with my receipt and about 1/2 the stuff I got last night. No one was in line so the young cashier acknowledge me and she began my return. From across the registers another girl speaking in Spanish began talking to my cashier and suddenly she said "oh sorry I'm gonna switch and help you across the way on a different cashier". I obliged and began gathering my stuff and followed her to the new register. She began scanning the items to begin my return. She wasn't completely done before the one l girl that had made us move began speaking in Spanish again to my cashier. I asked what's going on and she said I'm the manager and none of these items are ours. She started scratching the tags and threatening to go view the cameras. I was kinda confused and honestly embarrassed. I asked the cashier if they are serious and she said it's my manager saying I can't return. The "manager" left abruptly with my receipt. All my items were scattered from one area to another while the manager kept repeating no I don't authorize return these are not on the camera. She left again then spoke Spanish to another cashier. 5 min later she came back and told another cashier to return 2 my items. Then the " manager" comes again and tells her to return what she wanted. All this crazy lasted 30 min. The manager is either on drugs or has an illness. Abusing the customers and making up stupid stuff then back pedaling. Twilight zone. She would not tell me her name but she worked Sunday evening 11-26-2023.

This is a great location La Mesa In San Diego I’ve always had a good experience . Unfortunately on this recent occasion One woman staff member decided to scream at the top of her lungs to all customers around that she thought my driving was bad!!!.. I couldn’t believe my ears. what was she doing!? I asked a cashier do all of the employees have a bad habit of talking bad about clients inside the store? And she quickly replied “absolutely not”so I turned to the rogue employee trying to stop her yelling by saying to her “what happens outside the store is Not your concern”!! she goes off again even louder .. I then told her she was being rude ,disrespectful and very unprofessional.. I told her I would call Corporate and place a complain on her for her behavior..This is a sad situation where the hardworking staff innocent Customers and myself felt bewildered and embarrassed because One staff member feels entitled to share her un welcomed opinion .I hope corporate takes some action.

Came in to return 2 items w/receipt & inquire re double billing on unrecognized items. The cashier helping me was extremely patient, polite; but, her senior supervisor was dismissive, telling her to have me wait "over there" & you can help others; we're getting a line ..." I'm still waiting--27 minutes & counting.

My wife and I and our two little girls entered Ross with little expectation of finding anything we needed and exited with a nice family room rug for a cheaper price than we had found anywhere else! Thanks, Ross! My only complaint is the amount of time it takes to check out. There always seems to be a long line and checkout process.
