Smart, efficient office. Located less than 1 1/2 miles from home. Well-trained staff.

I have been going to Rancho Village Vet for many years and am grateful for their excellent teamwork. From nail trimming to helpful reminders, both by email and postcards, to treatment of serious conditions, I have full confidence in the staff. They are friendly and thorough. I highly recommend Rancho Village Vet to everyone.

I agree spot on to all the other 1 star reviews. I've been actually taking my two dogs here for years just because I've been too lazy to look for another vet but this last visit was the last time. Every time I go there the vet, especially Dr. Bowman, is rude and condescending. They are not personable with the animals either. The exam is very short and it's all about the money. My daughter also took her little chihuahua there because she sensed something wasn't right and he wasn't breathing good. They said he was in good health and nothing was wrong. They gave him a bunch of vaccines, charged her a lot of money, and he died two days later. Things do happen but it's mostly their bedside manner that's the main reason not to go to this vet. There are many different options. Please look elsewhere!!

We brought our 6mo Kitten into the Vet on short notice, as she had an infection from recent spaying not healing. Our regular VET, College Area in 92115 (awesome) recommended them as they were booked this day .. RVVH were very receptive and got her in right away. Dr. Bowman was very professional and we appreciated the walk thru of what the symptoms were and the steps forward. She is very good at what she does. Thank you. Cinko was examined and cleaned and deemed OK to come home with medicine for treatment. My only negative comment was the cost for the medications, and also that the amount given didn't match what we were charged for. The pain meds (gabapentin) was administered as directed, but the amount we were given was under 1/2 of what we were charged for. This was all remedied however after a few discussions - all was corrected and we were given a refund for the extra amount we paid for.. I thank you for working through our issues with us and for the service given. Overall the experience was great, and i highly recommend their service.

This is the only place that would accept exotics. My daughter owns a Holland Lop bunny and we take her here for check ups. The doctor, techs and staff are great, very helpful and accommodating.

My dog was under there care, running low on medication I contacted them to see if could get a refill or if I needed to make an appointment to come in again. I was told they would process the request, did not Herat aback from them, so I call Saturday and asked if get a status of the request, I was told it was still being worked on and was told I would receive a call back. I also let them know he was out of medicine. Never got a call back, I called first thing Sunday morning and try to explain what happened the last to days, the lady who answered the phone was not letting me get a word in, she was rude and finally she say YOUR MY FIRST CALL OF THE DAY AND WAS DEALING WITH THIS BULLSHIT RIGHT NOW AND HUNG UP THE PHONE, I called back, was hung up on again, I called a third time and asked to speak with the manager, was told she was not in, she hung up on me again, I called back and asked her for her name so I could address this issue with the manager. She told me I am not giving you my name and hung up again. Called 1st thing Monday morning and that rude person answered the phone again and said the manager was aware and would call me and hung up again. The Manager finally called back today around 445 and I explained what happened and she said she was not aware of all the times she hung up on me. We talked about my dogs care and I a plan forward. I explained why would i return to this place after the way I was treated, I went back to my old vet and they said they would request the records be released to them. The manager checked and the staff never sent them over. The manager did finally send them to my email. This business lost a customer due to actions of one person and put my pet's healthcare last over her rude and unprofessional behavior.

Beware. That Bowman lady needs to retire. She’s rude and indifferent. She treats you like you’re dumb when you try to ask questions and is impatient and dismissive as hell. She’s nothing but a predator salesman charging for treatments my boy didn’t even need by telling us he had an infection that another vet said he didn’t have. The front desk ladies were wonderful and made us feel at home but my experience was terrible after I checked in with them. I can’t speak for the other Drs but Bowman should call it quits as she seems jaded and resentful. She doesn’t like her job anymore and it shows.

Hi I brought my cat in today. He ended up needing lysine and feliway. I wish the vet would’ve told me I could’ve got it online at Chewey for half the price I paid. If you’re looking for a vet that’s not going to over charger you, this is not the one.The front desk and vet tech were very friendly and helpful. The vet seemed a little annoyed with all my questions. The facility was very clean.

We went to Rancho Village veterinary because they were the only vet open at the time. Dawn Bowman, DVM , examined our Yorkie. She diagnosed our 5 lb girl as having pancreatitis. She then ordered several tests and scans resulting in a bill of $1300 dollars. We were somewhat skeptical so the next day we went to another veterinarian closer to home. the diagnosis was non specific vomiting and diarrhea. The DVM there prescribed meds to relieve the symptoms. She was fine by the next day. The bill was $232.

Brought in my sick cat to find out what was wrong. They did a blood test, x-rays and a few other things. After spending almost $800 they told me they didn't know what was wrong with her. They said she was ready to go home and if she didn't improve in the next 2-3 days to bring her back in. Well she DIED less then 24 hours later. This was my kids first pet and she wasn't even a year old yet, they were devastated. Called the vet the day after she died to cancel the x-rays being read as she was dead and I didn't need them anymore. They said they would call me back, I never heard from them I had to call them back. Asked to talk to the manager at least 3 times. They said I was on her list of things to do. She called me back 5 days later. Still have no answers. I will NEVER BRING ANY PET HERE again!

Do not bring your dogs here. Worst Vet I've ever been too. On top of them all having an attitude problem they also misdiagnosed my dog's eye condition and gave him not only expired medication but the wrong medication which made his eye much worse. They are way overpriced for the service they provide. Please save your precious pet and money and find another place.

Dr Bowman saw my dog and I first time client. She does not know how to interact with dogs. She immediately wanted to put a muzzle on to check heartbeat. She does not have people skills or animal skills. Then she wanted to over charge many services that were unnecessary and unrelated. She did a 3min exam. Spent the rest of the time uncharging. I was very dissatisfied in her service and do not recommend. Very cold person.
