If you can find another postal annex withing 20 miles of this location, use it. I called this morning to get an estimate to send a letter to England via FedEx as service that Postal Annex offers. The women answering the phone was rude and refused to provide me any information. She felt is best for me to use my gas and time to go there personally. I contacted another Postal Annex on Avocado Blvd and spoke to any employee. She happily helped me by providing me an estimate. This place has lost a customer for life. If you can’t find an alternative Postal Annex, I suggest you use a UPS store as they have been nothing but courteous to me for years. Good luck and avoid the mean Ogars out there.

I have been using Postal Annex for all of my notary, shipping and packaging needs since I moved to La Mesa five years ago. The couple who runs this location (and their entire staff) is always friendly, kind, professional and lovely. Highly recommended, and I love supporting a small business.

Got a key copied here. The key didn't end up working on my lock. They wouldn't give me a refund and workers were unhelpful/rude despite the fact that I was inconvenienced. Now all I have is a key that doesn't work and no refund :/

This little Annex is quaint and has everything in one place. Drop your packages or receive them , mail is a given as well as the genuine smiles you receive.

I wish I had to ship things more often! What a great family run business they have going on here. They were super great getting my passport sent out for renewal.

Go somewhere else--poor customer service! We bought $80 of stamps not realizing there was a 40% markup on them. When we tried to return them unused, we were refused. The owners rudely ganged up on my wife when she politely objected. We were going to make another $60 purchase, and when we decided against it after being treated so, the lady owner had the audacity to remind us that we'd "be supporting a small business." These owners have an entitlement mentality while offering bad customer service. We'll be going to another postal service business down the road from now on.

We love Postal Annex! The service is always fast and friendly. They offer the convenience of shipping & PO Boxes along with SO MANY other items great for gift giving, shipping materials & office supplies.

Friendly, supportive staff. While I waited, I watched one helping a senior ( I am a senior as well) walk through how to save a document with a method easier than the one the man had chosen, all done by suggestion rather than rattling off facts. The woman who took my passport photo was delightful.

This place is awesome. I went in to take a passport photo and the older gentleman (maybe the owner?) could not have been more helpful. He took care of me quickly and efficiently. He even looked over my passport renewal application (that is confusing to be quite frank). He even knew the exact dollar amount and who to write the check to. They provided unbelievable service to a random guy walking in and they said hi to about 10 regulars when I was there for about 10 minutes. If I will likely go there for all of the postal needs I have even though I live 30 min away. Some seriously fantastic service and help with a confusing process from this place.
