Dr. Espinoza is so wonderful! I have been going there since 2009. What I admire the most about this veterinarian is that they don't push stuff on you just to sell product or pills. They really only do what's necessary, and these days, that's huge. Dr Espinosa especially knows that we love our pets like our children and family, and he understands that and the hardships that come and go with owning a pet. His empathetic and passionate about what he does, and I will continue to go there as long as I own animals.

Dr. Espinoza is wonderful and kind and loving and gentle. We took our dog there for the first time and I can honestly say he and his entire staff are amazing.

Generations of dogs in my family have been seen here. They are fair in pricing but also compassionate to the people and families that bring their fur family to them. They were the best with me and my dog Diego who had 3 surgeries here and they were great every time, honest along with understanding.

This was my first experience with The Pet Hospital of La Mesa and it was very good. The staff and the Veterinarian were very friendly and professional. The vet examined my new dog Marty, a rescue, and the visit was very thorough, my dog got his rabies shot, and his nails clipped. I was very happy with the services provided.

We’ve been with the Pet Hospital of La Mesa for 30 years. I wouldn’t take my pets anywhere else. I trust them with everything they do with each and every one of my little family members. Thank you for taking such great care and love of my animals.

Very expensive!!! I probably could have taken my cat to a human hospital for a few stitches and it would be less expensive. I feel sorry for lower income family's with pets that would not be able to afford this. I really think they prey on the emotional attachment people have with there pets. Sad!

They may get the job done, at an above average cost, and won’t remember your dogs name. I found that this facility overcharges and under-provides when it comes to the treatment. They may also recommend several treatment plans, and start you at the least effective and most costly option and work their way down to benefit themselves. I wouldn’t recommend this facility.

Staff is nice there prices have gone way to high and try to upsell you everything. Simple vax over $300 after turning down over 1k worth of other stuff. Tried to set up a neuter apt. For my newer dog price has gone up over 3 times the amount then less than two years ago. So unfortunately it is about the money here now and not the pets and I will be forced to look for another vet

This used to be my vet. They are completely useless unless you have ESP and can predict your pet's illnesses 3-4 weeks in advance. They were allowed to do whatever they wanted during covid and became unbearably complacent since the pandemic. The crazy part is the emergency vets are cheaper than this vet as well. There is absolutely no reason to bring your pets here. Even if you have been with them for years, they won't have the time to help your sick pets.

The front desk ladies are not the type of front desk ladies I'm used to encountering when I have an appointment someplace - not what you would expect at all. The one lady who was very rough around the edges , even with how she spoke to people seemed like she just got out of prison honestly or drug rehab. I was very shocked that she was employed here. She was unprofessional and also inept. Her appearance was exactly what I said it was. The 2nd lady had a way calmer demeanor but handled situations with her coworker awfully - they were arguing and telling each other they were doing their job wrong. The calm lady was correct but she was talking to the prison looking lady like she was her child. Also was disgusting that you visibly saw the employees taking smoke breaks in the same parking lot that we park in (it was sorta at the back but still on the side of their building) so then you smelled them once you were inside - very poor taste for a business owner to allow that - at least try to hide it! We then Paid over 600 plus for an exam and blood work. The Dr informed us while we were there that she wanted to take a peek at my dogs broken tooth after the swelling went down in a week. We Tried to make an appointment for this and was told there will be an additional 60 to 75 dollar exam fee. This is price gouging! We Asked to speak with the Dr and was told I would receive a call back, but we never did. GO FIGURE! Take your pup to a compassionate vet where you will be surrounded by true professionals in the field - this is not the place! My review was way overdue - this was 6ish months ago so the women I'm referring to might not work there anymore (I would hope not) but I still had to review on my experience! Also , I've heard they have since been bought out and prices have increased tremendously. There are way better Vets out there folks so do your research :)
