My friend who is elderly put her 300k retirement in BofA. The investment employee tricked her, as she doesnt speak English well. He took advantage of her, invested it, probably got a big commission. And he lost her 40K. After years of working at a manual labor job. This jerk, took advantage of her, and lost her cash. Makes me so angry.

An employee named Joelle demanded that I provide Identification for a business deposit. I have never been asked that before. I asked why that was never required, and was never given an answer. I don't like that.

This is the bank you go to if you feel like wasting an hour waiting in line while getting blank stares from the workers sitting behind the tellers.

Bank of America is literally the worse bank. I use to have them years and years ago. My mom passed away and they withheld the money for like 6 years even after supplying all the documentation. Then recently my brother had 3,000 compromised from his account and after submitting a claim it was denied. How? If I could, I'd give them negative 5 star.

Long wait, one teller. The one teller working at 1:30 on Wednesday with the bad eyelashes was extremely unpleasant. Would never ever employ her with my business. She seemed like she hated life; maybe needs a new job

They really don't care about their customers. I needed $40 in quarters. The let me get $20 and go to a different Bank of America to get the other $20 while providing me the worst attitude and wait time.

Horrible service every time. Rated a 1 because I could not rate it a zero. First in line waited 20 minutes as there were no tellers at all. All customers were complaining. I mean no tellers there physically at 930a. When I was finally helped, they said they could not help me I needed to talk to an advisor. Waited another 20 for them. Got a hidden maintenance fee removed and tried to close account due to problems I always have . To get the money, I then had to go back to teller line and wait another 20 minutes. Ridiculous system, like banking with Wells Fargo. Never again will I use Bank of America. If you do, I hope you have better luck.

As part of our parents' estate, my brother and I acquired several US Savings Bond series EE. Per instructions from the Department of Treasury website, we downloaded FS form 5336 and completed all applicable sections. On page 5, part G "Signature and Certification," it states that a certifying officer needs to witness signature, sign, and stamp it. Having previously done this procedure several years ago at the Grossmont Branch, we returned for the same process. A young man, Sammy according to his name tag, at first told us to go to a teller window. We explained we can't cash the bond ourselves because it is in our parent's names. We need a bank officer to sign off. He then tells us to contact the Treasury Department. I attempt to explain we have the correct form from the Treasury Department and only need a signature. I show him Part G. He tells me to go to a notary and "we'll reimburse you." He then tells me to stop cursing. Neither my brother nor I uttered anything remotely like a curse word! He disappears for a few moments, then returns to inform us that there isn't anyone with a stamp to sign off. Sammy then turns on his heel and walks off. We are bothered and concerned about this type of customer service. Are all Platinum Preferred account holders treated this way? His unwillingness to even read the instructions and his negative, abusive communication style does not represent the quality of service we had come to expect from Bank of America. We left the branch seriously discussing closing all our accounts and moving to another financial institution. In order to not totally disrupt our day, we drove to Bank of America Santee. The staff at the Santee Bank of America were helpful, professional, and processed our signature request in under fifteen minutes. If they can do it, why were the staff members at Grossmont unwilling or unable to do the same?

Absolutely horrible! Every time I come in here there's a huge line and one or two people max at the windows assisting people. There is NO sense of urgency in trying to speed things along. Do yourself a favor and sign up for Mission Fed credit union that's in the same parking lot. They are wonderful. Bank of America sucks and this location in particular is completely understaffed and not making an effort to change in any way

This location is busy most the time we come by. Parking is generally packed but not an issue to find a spot to park. There is always security patrolling the front door, people do practice social distancing which is nice to have that space. Only issue is the Drive Thur ATM people take forever when using.
